I purchased 2 Coal wards from the TradeBar store yesterday, about 19 hours ago. That would be after they announced the removal but before the maintenance. At that time they were listed as being BoP and were bound to my account. So while I stocked up what I could, it looks like I won't be able to sell. Plus I got a Grazilaxx Artifact Pack from the New Life Lockbox that I opened and most of the stones and marks were now BtA. The ones I opened last week were not.
Less and less things we can sell on the AH...

Hmmm! I bought a few C-ward from t-bar store yesterday around 8pm EST. Mine were not bound.
have never seen a bound, maybe that stuff you smokin,
They were bound for some time before trade bar shop rework. At begining not bound-bound-not bound-now removed.

    Something to ponder...

What kind of loot would draw players to the new dungeons, say the high end ones, over an over. Esp after removing Cols from TBar vendor ? Who needs rank 12s anyways besides high end players?

I wonder just wonder if maybe Cols will become some type of loot in the new revamped high end content when it hits.

    Would make sense, who knows.

Loot to sell.... No, not 4k salvage.

You know what used to keep me running dungeons non-stop? Actual BIS gear that could drop. Instead now all you get is salvage, and sometimes some more salvage. When I was but a wee newb with but 1 char I remember having to actually run the content and hope to get the gear I needed to upgrade. The content was fun, required running more than one thing to get all the pieces and I didn't mind grinding it out. Now it seems that to get the "best" gear all you have to do is farm one place on repeat for infinity and hope you don't tear your hair out first.

Cool looking transmutes also kept me interested, although to a more limited extent, and most of those are gone too.

What is this high end content of which you speak? CN? or maybe one of the three "new" leveling dungeons?

This all happened because your account is on probation from buying Zen through Steam.

Edit: spelling. Also to note that the change to the t-bar store behaving like the Zen market with regard to making purchases BoA while under Steam probation was in a recent patch, maybe two weeks ago?

Coals etc. won't be loot drops, they are deliberate choke points designed into refining process. It's something they absolutely control that they can slow down gear progression with, why really are they being removed from trade bar store? Read the post then between the lines, they don't want things to compete with zen store via trade bar store.

Think of trade bar store as the "cosmetic frivolity" store, nothing in there will be game changing, there will be decent pets, mounts etc. but epic or mythic levels of game influence items will go to zen store, that is how they will maintain their choke hold on their insane pricing structure.

Want a $5 mount a tad better than white, go to trade bar store, if you are VIP or buy a few keys you will get enough bars to get it. Want a legend mount? Buy it for $25 from Zen store. Want to get to legendary via tradebar store? Spend your trade bars and STILL go to zen store to get the mount upgrade tokens.

Other than the ease of use items no. The free key was too good, they saw people going to get stuff "free" too fast to suit them with the real rare box pull and the trade bar stock piled. So they stealth nerfed the big pull odds from boxes right away, then each new box has a hugely expanded pool to roll from, (sort of like the mini jackpots from a 20 way slot, you "won" a small jackpot of $5, only your bet was $10...so the win was? )

The only real thing VIP is good for is travel gate and invoke wherever you want, call vendor or salvage a tad more wherever you want. The "easy of use" things are decent, they just don't want you to get anything to good doing it and not have you spend on Zen.
