Great change! I was really afraid of storing Gelatinous Cube with the rest of my mounts and equipment.. Now, it's time to buy you, my sweet, dissolving flesh ooze!

Finally!.. And it only took you 2 years. Well - whatever - I'm glad it's happening anyways.
    Cheers!

Even tho there is not that much information about the insignia's just yet, but for some reason I do believe something good is being implemented in a very wrong way.
The idea was for everyone to be able to pick the mount appearance they want, with the speed and power you think is best. But are the insignia's 'stuck' to the appearance? And if so, dont you believe that people will have to pick appearances based on the insignia's they want?
Meaning, even tho that one mount is looking awesome, it does not have the insignia's I am looking for and there for I will have to pick a different mount appearance?

So, what about those like us who spent hard earned AD to upgrade green mounts to epic. Granted I already have a purple mount so the speed isn't really what I hope they consider. I really hope that for my sake, my green shadow wolf that I upgraded will have the same bonus/stats as the epic shadow wolf.

Ty. I think this is awesome. I was just telling my husband the other day how I wish my other mounts all went the same speed as my legendary and then a couple of days later this was announced....=)

I think this change is awesome! I have been lucky enough to win a mount that has character stat bonuses but I prefer the looks of my other mounts. This is just the fix I need!

It never fails to amaze me how many people complain about a positive change. This is all good.

Exactly! This is a very nice development and I can't wait to have the ability to customize which mounts I use instead of just having to go with the only 110% mount in my entire stable just because.

The Neverwinter community is the most negative whiny bunch of negative whiners I've ever met. I can understand griping about the multitude of things that warrant it, but it's ridiculous to complain about the positive developments and redesign taking place lately that will only improve our playing experience.

yeah, very excited about this system.

I think unique mounts bonuses will only be available to characters that have unlocked that and not acct wide. Therefore buying zen store mount allows all your chars to get at least those bonuses.

There is more than just speed bonus attributed to purple mounts.

The complaint is (uh, was... I am apparently commenting based on something I remember but don't see) that the updated Stormraider Clydesdale will have +2000 movement, which is not a particularly good bonus.

The complaint really isn't warranted though. People bought it to have the cheapest possible account-wide fast mount when that was all mounts were good for. And they've been using that cheap, fast, account-wide mount since they bought it. They lose nothing, just because someone who bought a different mount they liked the look of also now gets a slightly nicer bonus.

Keep in mind that this system, while adding convenience and utility, is also designed to encourage people to buy more mounts instead of sticking to a single budget purchase. And there's not really anything wrong with that because a free player can slot a bunch of event mounts and still have access to a variety of insignia slots. It's a system that's good for everyone, even if it's better for those willing to dump a bunch of coin into it.

probably was removed for being too specific?

I think it's a brilliant move. I am not overly thrilled with what will tentatively be my acct mount bonus but I was not even expecting one, so it is better than what I thought I was getting. I might just buy a 2nd acct mount too, because of the bonuses.

Woot! I'll be riding my starter mount again(for about an hour)! Stables? sounds like that drydock for sto... hmm. You know how cruel it is to chuck a poor pony into a bag of holding is? I mean you also throw your wolves and your bears in there, I mean the mess to clean up in there is just... well at least they do not breed in there or it would be like tribbles and food in STO (bless the cannibal tribbles.) Wait stables... pigs... owlbears... Now I want to breed chocobos. Now that would be cool, breed your own mounts. Can we have that? (mount crafting lmao)

I like the idea and where this is going.

The real problem is pvp and pve need to be separated, for pve we need the massive boosts for the harder dungeons and bosses we keep asking for and I get it, its not fair to just take that into pvp where the game play and even the type of player base is totally different and honestly its a different mind sets to.

An example is I don't mind crawling hours through a dungeon taking my time to explore every thing, where as pvp is fast paced hard core fighting all the time that's not for me, so the player base is totally different while I agree some can do both most of the people I hang with very rarely do pvp and I do know and talk with hard core pvp people and they have no interest in crawling dungeons with me so until we separate the two there will always be a problem.

sorry for jumping off topic but it kinda fit again awesome job on the mount system I look forward to seeing it happen.

I think the opposite of this is true. Needing 2 sets of gear is completely ridiculous.

Wish I had read this before I threw away a bunch of event mounts that I was never going to be able to use before this change, like demon sled, winter wolf etc etc.
Before you jump to judge me, know this - I was called flowerbot long before I started playing Neverwinter.

Only thing I want to add is that:

If your account has any of the currently available stat boosting mounts (Axe Beak/Strider) then those boosts should be available to equip on ALL your mounts on the Account at the +4000 value. The RNG (or AD cost) is insane to acquire these mounts and you shouldn't be penalized for having to go to those lengths only to have that taken away.

If you didn't have these, then mounts with half that (+2000) should be the ones purchasable from the Zen store.

    For example:

You have an Axe Beak but no Strider, then you only have access to the +4000 ArP stat boost option, the others must be bought with respective mounts.

If you acquire a Axe Beak/Strider after the Mod releases then you gain the same +4000 boost as anyone who obtained it before.

Yes you might say: "but this is unfair to those who were never lucky/rich enough to get those mounts", which is true but you forget this goes both ways.

Why should those who got lucky, or who saved and begged and hoarded away AD and Zen to get these mounts be penalized?

    That isn't fair either.

As a compromise, with the release of the Mod, add the +4000 stat mounts as purchasable on the Trade bar store for 3k Bars each.

If you want the skins you'll have to buy a lot of them but if all you want is the stats then 3k is a fair price to pay.

Honestly, the Axe Beak/Strider and all the other lockbox mounts should already be available in the TB store, very few people cared about the older mounts once they were introduced and now the only reason to buy them would be for the skins.

Or make all the boosts available universally (+4000) and keep only the 140% speed as a symbol of luck, wealth and status.

You can't say that +4000 breaks/unbalances the game because as we all know, you haven't done anything to curb the unbalancing nature of the Stronghold boons and to try to hold one to a different standard is hypocritical.

Healing on critical hit, healing on deflect, healing on life steal proc, healing on CC...what kind of madness is that !?

loooooooooooool yeah, this is so cool, LS utter madness + Endless boon and all above bonuses? I really feel it will be pretty much possible to do all underwear runs after this goes live.

Whenever you perform a Lifesteal, you are healed for 3% of your maximum Hit Points over 4 seconds.
Whenever you perform a Critical Strike, you are healed for 1.5% of your maximum Hit Points.

This has to be a joke, or they need to have an ICD. If these kind of craziness will have no ICD, and they can be stacked (2/or 3 of those can be active on all time) this will be another layer of madness cast upon this game.

Please tell me this gonna be redone, tweaked or that I'm totally misunderstanding the concept.

    PS.

It should have been an edit....

Any downside to a green mount with the changes? I thought it might be cool to load up a pony or Fancy-Horse with Speed of the Zephyr and Armor Breaker. He would look sooooo unimposing.

Would I still be able to load up insignias, or all other bonuses, however?

Your cosmetic mount is a separate selection from the mounts equipped for bonuses.

I saved all of my event mounts so This makes me happy.
Also, the new mount looks amazing, at least to me.
I can not wait to see it in game. This is very very positive.

I would like to thank the person who brought up this idea in the first place.
And the people who worked on the new mount. It looks really epic and i ll try my best to get it!!

You can load up the looks from mounts not in your stable, that is probably the way you wanna do it and fill up your stable with the mounts, that have the insignia bonusses you want. They will probably all will be epic/legendary if you wanna max out the total amount of insignia's you want to have.
