PvP in this game is at its worst state since the beginning. There are lots of things that needs fixing and balancing. But some of the most pressing issues this game has today are AP/Stamina drains and of course the new Ring of Cowardice and Ring of Ambush.
I know a lot of players are using them. I know I have used them. I know friends who used them. But it feels like it has to come to and end now. Every single PvP match I enter offers nothing but a bad experience. Players are getting frustrated and its not good for the guilds or the game because at some point, people will say no and throw in the towel and move on.
Removal of these items will impact the PvP in a huge positive way. Its not enough, but it will make the whole PvP experience so much better than it is today. The best thing is, its so easy to remove an item in the game. Requires almost no code and as soon as devs realize that we don't want the drain/rings they can be removed quickly.
I was listening to the dev stream the other week and I was chocked when Strumslinger said "Its not on our radar" about the Ambush rings. Clearly the threads in the forums since day one hasn't been enough. If its not even on the radar, how can we expect changes? Is the drains on the radar?
So how do we get them to listen to us? A poll is a good start. But it will require many PvP players to come here and vote. So I urge anyone and everyone to get your friends and guilds to vote. Guild leaders send out guild mails and let your players know there is a vote here. Talk about it. Spread the link. Get everyone on here to talk and vote about drains and rings. Lets make an effort to get these items removed. If we don't make an effort, we cant really count on devs making one either.
ABOUT THE RINGS: Sure fixing the rings is one option. BUT, it took them months and months to fix Elven Battle. I would say that devs should just remove drains for good but ambush rings, once fixed, can stay. (fixes = being able to detect ambushed player within 20'. Once that player attacks, stealth must go away. ICD of 10 secs)

Removal will never happen, nothing has ever been removed from the game after it was released. A nerf on the other hand could happen or simple discontinue of drops, making the rings legacy.
Think about how much time some players spent farming for that +5 tier ring and they finally got it, now you just want to remove it, and the same thing goes for guild drains, it takes A LOT of work to get them, so removing is not the correct word, but nerfing is.
Does it really even matter at this point, if a new player decides to go pvp and meets a max geared opponent, do the drains have such a big impact? what about the 7 campaign boons that he's behind on? and very soon mod9 is lurking around the corner, it will create an even bigger gap.
I'm all in favor of putting a big juicy cooldown on the ambush rings, nerfing drains, nerfing OP bubble, nerfing infinite AP clerics. I thin they ruin PvP the most between medium sized guilds & max geared guilds, it just makes the climbing the ladder part very frustrating. The new guilds/players are screwed either way.

I think EVERY NEW RING and DRAINS should be removed for ever from PvP instances.. that include the stealth vision rings as well, the prove is that rings made the PvP a mess and nobody more play using their own classes skills, for example, a TR to be invisible MOST of the time need lots of recovery and a pvp made build, by the way, a gwf or a sw just need to walk by 1 SECOND for start the stealth without limit util he stop... thats no sense.. and.. without the ambush ring we should remove the Vision rings becouse without all classes stealthed it gonna be a class counter equip used to ruin the TR and HR mechanic only.
i would vote yes but as a hr i feel like my new updated role is to drain APs from enemy and really helps countering pallies and dcs. i feel something else needs to be looked at before (see pallies and ap dcs).

I'll try to be nice: absolutely NOT. 1. if normal pm vs pm, people will call you ****** and they'll be right 2. if pm vs pugs, it's not needed. 3. if pug vs pug... well, some people do it, but still not nice. and, yes, if you have drains on you and equally or better geared and skilled tr/gwf has drains on him, he will eat you like nothing. These rings are game breaking. The mechanics they offer are terrible, giving the defense of one class in the form of stealth to all classes is a horrible idea. Drains cause nothing but misery, they are the worst sort of implementation ever. Using them against undergeared pugs makes their gaming experience absolutely horrible, using them against geared and skilled opponents gives those with them the upper hand despite the difference. These things will drive people away from PVP. It makes the games unplayable.
I really can't say enough how badly these mechanics affect the PVP environment. A single HR with AP drain can make sure you never daily, dodge, block, or sprint again. Worst mechanic in the game guys. Devs please look at what your player base wants. These new rings are novel but not well implemented, please remove them from the environment.
These things are driving people away from pvp, and the game. People are leaving to find more balanced competitive gaming experiences because you guys never listen to the community about broken things. Please heed this feedback.

There's something that i notice: such rings is most used by "low geared players", which i personally think it's ok! Because they have now bit of change, to survive longer and not getting insta stomped by BIS players-
Also nearly all BIS Players or high pvp players that i met "Don't even use such rings" include myself simply because theres better rings out there which supports the stat that they want!
Personally i don't use this Rings or drains or even the negated version of them, just the cheapest Dragon Glyph overload on AH, its enough for me lol
This Rings is good for Beginners/low geared players. Simply because they want survive a bit longer. Whit Removing the rings YOU will "only hurt them",
Not the BIS players they will stay as they are, with no change and keep stomping low geared ppls, it's sadly but true.

Ruined the remaining PVP we had, i for myself didn't play since nearly weeks on my TR and zero on my other toon, nearly since this went live. My guildies were even harder, 0 match from all of them and well 0 dollars into PVP ever since the day these rings and drains lurk here.
It is unfair and only promotes skill-less play. PVP has enough problems on it's own, this was for many the final nail in the coffin. Just go and see, how "fast" a Q pops nowadays.

I agree PvP would be better without the drains/ambush rings! Class balance is a long way, but removing silly gears or update it's effects to be more in-line with other rings, could make the difference. (e.g. Ambush ring only works once every 30 seconds, each time a player goes into stealth it only lasts a maximum of 8 seconds before the player gets revealed...etc)

Agreed on changing or removing ambush rings. Players complained about perma stealth, now they add a ring where everyone can go real perma stealth? Isn't it trolling from devs? Is it the moment to troll players when 2 monstruous MMO are coming (ie B&S and black desert)

I'm against removing drains (but for removing the rings) simply because of the way some classes, particularly TRs, can abuse dailies. Balance is a huge problem. For now the only partial solution for those of us not playing the outrageously favored classes is AP drains.

As i've said time and again. Drains were and are the worst thing to happen to pvp. The gear gap is bad enough, but fighting without wards or drains is like trying to break a brick wall with your face. Alienating any player from PvP who is in a guild without access to them.

So fix it. High melee burst clases (GF/GWF) and ranged classes (SW/HR/CW) were never meant to have permastealth.

Stamina drain mark must be deleted, TR using CB+SBomb+atwill/SE=dead, zero chance to fight back. AP drain can stay, cowardice is not a problem anymore, and the ambush ring needs a severe cooldown, cuz is funny how most of the stealth TR whiners(CWs) are using it.

I am taking a quick break from all these mess, the rings, the 2shots and the all-time-invicible bubbledin really boreds me. I will play more when the dungeons are back or if they revise and make changes to the messed up PvP mechnics
I still kill 99% the ppl I come across, I still win most of the PvP games, but that does not mean I get the same amount of fun where it used to be. The PvP community has definitely suffered a lot from the current bad designs, but I dont see the Devs/Management ppl interested in revising and making changes anytime soon. (or maybe they have no idea whats wrong, or maybe they do know whats wrong but not sure what adjustments would be appropriate? Can't really say much about this, but at least we dont see any official annoucement about the mechnics being revised) Hopefully the returning dungeons would be fun

I voted remove rings but there is more to do, I enjoy to be with "invis bubledin" but I dont pvp too much after mod4 because I dont play TR-HR, .
Maybe Rings shuold stay as they are untill pvp is totally dead?

The funny thing is that these items give unskilled players the belief that they are better than others who do not have them. I have a +4 Brutality Ring that I could use, but I leave it on my PvE GWF.
Any future NCL and competition will be tainted by their stink... forcing even more people away from 50% of your game. By doing so... forcing people to leave the game. I know a TON of PvPers who have either left the game or stopped doing PvP because of the broken offering that Cryptic delivered.
I mean even in AD&D the Ring of Invisibility has a limited number of charges and once you attack you become visible.

Wow .. After 5 months came to see how things are here in neverwinter.I was hoping to return but since friends told me from my old guild they left the game I wonder what happened ! Ok I 'll be blunt. Now seeing what this rings can do, Is time to uninstall the game.I don't want it even my hard disk. Why to go mad inside pvp ? I enjoy pvp in where I am now.No artifact gear,no farm,no rings, and gearing my toons within a week and enjoy all the classes. They gone to far now. The truth: If they would care about pvp, they would have add so many things make it enjoyable. 3 years now what community get here? 2 domination maps, 1 open pvp area on icewind dale (who is useless without company taking advantage from it) And one laggy siege pvp. What pvpers doing? Leaving the game in large numbers!Tell me a pvp player who came on neverwinter and enjoy pvp after mod 5.. Until mod 4, the pvp was enjoyable.Because many go to battle, even with some gear score less, at least some make the diffrence.
