Check yourself in the mirror, its time to be brutally honest. Is this fun still?

HECK ya, there is little trinkets and pigs to get!
Gawd, the little trinkets are killing me, and now I cant even afford the pigs!
Somewhere inbetween, I can almost afford the pig, trinkets are still out of sight..
Meh, Im BiS, I only need a few trinkets every 3 months, not so bad.
Im somewhat dissapointed.
IM the uber disgusted player.. What did they do to my GAME! No AD, No DDs.. GRINDING for trinkets isnt fun!

i m not going to waste my playtime on something they dare to call rewards.
However, it just doesnt seem they will do this, they just do not listen.

I'll never retrace my steps.
Some of my best friends are Imaginary.
In previous mods when queues for epics or skirmishes were slow I could go out and re-run the normal difficulty dungeons and carry players who needed it for the quest they received at the end of the zone. This was fun for me. I got to smash up mobs for a short power trip and the lower level players got their quest completed. Being able to manually enter dungeons either alone or with less than a full party was an amusing test of builds or just a quick way of helping clear a longer quest. Manual entry into dungeons would be appreciated, at least for me. Along with the return of all of the dungeons we are still missing as both normal and epic runs.
I do not even want to really start on the aspects of farming drop rates, class imbalance in PVE and PVP, and survivability in solo play. Suffice that all content that is accessible without a queue should be soloable for all classes without BiS or particularly high grade gear when you receive access to it. Should you have to play more tactically if you go in with the bare minimum of gear for your level? Sure. But in medium gear or better you should never be looking at 1-2 hit deaths outside of an Epic Boss red AoE.
As a last comment I will say that with the current state of the game I spend a large amount of my time (after my daily cycle of invokes, 2 dungeons, and 2 PVP matches) in the badly broken but at least marginally functional foundry. Which ranks even lower on the totem of problems to be addressed.
Changes which the players want, updates and communication are sparse from the developers which all increase the frustration with this game. If there are more hair-brained ideas of increasing the grind (i.e. increasing the XP, reducing AD inflow) then I think I'll have to call it quits then. Despite our pleas to the contrary, the devs forge their own path. I suppose it's their game after all; I mean I just play it - what would I know?
Silverkelt, why don't you just leave the game if its bothering you, and you are not having fun. What good is it trying to find other people agree with you? so you can both be bored together? Find another game, do something else. That's what people usually do when they are bored with something, ive missed entire modules because it was boring. Armchair development and moaning are both as fruitless as another. It's just a game at the end of the day, there are plenty others. Come back in the future mods and see if something interests you or not, right now it seems like you need to find something else to do.
and also the featured satirical comedic adventure "A Call for Heroes".
At the moment, I am sitting on the back seat watching what they are going to do next. In the meanwhile, I enjoy playing with the guild, start a new character and take advantage the current crisis. When there is crisis, there is also opportunity.
Being mainly a solo PVE player,it's been rather difficult to run since the new difficulty implementations.
I feel the main problem though is the simple lack of endgame content:
I completed Sharandar,DR,IWD,& most of TOD(Just need to get the last 2 boons, but I'm not going to grind Tiamat for 70 more Linu favors) before the catastrophe that is Mod 6.Both Mod 6 & 7 didn't really introduced anything new to the plate for me,just tons of grinding to level up or grinding old content to help out the guild.Strongholds seemed to me to be more like a gimmick than actually content. It's just not fun anymore...
With all the changes *removal of old dungons,LS/Regen nerf in Mod 6,reduced AD flow,& many other things* it's get frustrating & tiring.
There's so much you can take, before you end up losing all your steam.
If you are in an active guild with great players and successfully working toward the next MH and OH you are probably enjoying the game.
I can say If I were not in a great guild I would have already quit.
They took what should have happened naturally as "fun" and tortured it, took all other profit from it, recycled it, cooked it, put on a domed platter, and walked in at dinner time, lifted the dome with a flourish *TaDAA!* look what's for dinner! Don't you like it? Well it's recycled, cooked and presented garbage! Isn't that what you wanted for dinner?
Onlyiest guy wanting that such tripe would be Oscar the Grouch in his garbage can.

My game time in recent weeks has been much more limited than normal, so I end up barely able to get 2 dungeons on half my toons on top of the campaign stuff and whatnot... my main is also capped out on Boons(sans ToD, oddly the first campaign you can start and the last you'll ever finish unless you outright avoid the others) but I still want to get the items for SH progression.
As for the last week my primary computer has hit a bit of a speed bump and the only available replacement for me is a dinky little laptop with touchpad mouse- even basic gameplay is a hassle, borderline impossible for me. My only income has been invocations on my toons... now more than ever I miss Leadership, I mean it's AD for not 'playing' but I also literally lack the ability TO play at the moment and for me it was only an extra like 4-5k per toon per day, little more than invocation gives at 70, but hey... bots, what're ya gonna do?
And the extra AD sources? Really? 15k AD per WEEK? Oh praise be to Bahamut all our problems are solved! We now have 8 days' worth of income every 7! Rank 12's are just around the corner I can smell 'em!
I mean... it's a step in the right direction, a itty bitty baby step, more like we're looking in the right direction (at data no less!), but whoever thought AD being a weekly earning was a good idea... just no, gimme your keys, you're too drunk to drive the game into the ground, it was doing fine without you >.>
Seriously though, we need some rework, some tweaks. What keeps me enjoy the game (as mentioned by others above), is the guild, the friendships. I run with an amazing bunch that make me laugh/derp. In the end it's just a game, I have fun.

I'm a solo player and altaholic, and apparently my way of playing is badwrongfun now. I'm not going to be strong-armed into a guild, which means I'll eventually be nearly 23 rank 12s behind people in top guilds, which means eventually there will be no place for me in PvP (which I quite enjoy) or Dungeons (so-so). Along with the soul-crushing impracticality of making alts into anything worthwhile, I don't feel like I have anything to work towards anymore. When Underdark comes out, I'll go through that, but I'm not sure if I'll even grind out the entire campaign this time.
I'm not entirely sure what could be changed at this point to reverse my feelings, and it's cheap to say "FIX THIS AND THIS OR I QUIT!!@!1!". I don't expect AD from Leadership, really I think that move was probably for the best, but some things that come to mind that could help would include:
- Get rid of the duplicate enchant needed to upgrade epic enchants. (AD/Alt friendliness)
- Non-group-play ways to generate AD. (Solo friendliness)
- Make completing campaigns/getting boons a *little* easier after the first character. (Alt friendliness)
- Make virtually all bound everythings "Bind to Account", minus artifacts and artifact gear. (Alt/bagspace friendliness)
Even with all that though, the guild stat dominance will still choke things out eventually. I hope Sword Coast Legends lives up to the hype.
I login, invoke and collect the daily VIP key and that's it. I don't even bother to open a lockbox.
Recently I've become lax about some of my alts too, so they mostly remain unused and unloved.
My main play time is now spent in another game, which is gradually drawing me further and further in. I'm struggling to cut the final ties with NW and I keep telling myself I'll return to see what mod 8 is like but, actually, I probably will not.
It was fun but as a solo PVE player the recent mods and changes have just been a series of decisions and changes that have made the game less enjoyable for me. I can't even summon up enough enthusiasm to troll the forum moderators.
Just need to make that final break from the game... somehow... maybe...
