Could someone please confirm the influence daily cap is 120...Thats all i seem to be able to get.
If this is correct then its ridiculous.
I run a medium guild with 75 members. We are trying to rank up the guild to a 2...but needing 32k of influence is too high a target at 120 per day per character. I realise that the developers dont want people leveling too quickly...but seriously guys.
We have people willing to farm HE's most of the time...so what about making a15 person HE give 30...a 10 person give 20 and a 5 person give 10...At least that way we could at least farm it better.
If you think 32k is a lot...wait till you try and build a rank 1 boon structure...63k is way too much at the current rate.

I have a feeling you will be even more upset when you see the higher ranks requirements lol.
My guild probably can't make a rank 2 guildhall before mod 8 comes out. What is this people talking about maxing things out? That's a flippin' pipe dream.

3 months for 10 characters running SH heroics everyday (and running them at the right time of day so they actually get influence).
That's a long time before a small guild sees much of value from this mod. Meanwhile, large guilds will have unlocked rank 2 Marketplace before the end of next week, depending on construction time on the guild hall.
I believe Influence is in the campaign box within the more expensive Strongholds zen pack, at 3500 zen.
It is. Vouchers for a grand total of 2000 Influence per purchase.

I actually ran the numbers earlier and the contents of the pack would run $40 as separate purchases, so the vouchers are technically a bonus for buying the pack, but the quantity is so insignificant compared to the need, it's rather sad.
Edit: Just to clarify, the shards you get 100 of each. The vouchers, you get 5 of your choice, not all of them.

Edit: I give it a second thought. It will be very complicated for a non - fixed system since the accounts vary over time. And theoretically it could be exploited. So no, I don't have a perfect solution for it.

It would be better if the campaign/influence booster could be bought individually for 300 zens like the shard booster and not just in the big 3500 pack.
I guess I don't understand this. Small and casual guilds should not be able to max out strongholds. That would be like building a 300 story high rise building for 1 taco bell.
Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Now, on the other hand. Just because you have a small or casual guild that doesn't mean that you should get nothing. Every level gained should have something for the people playing it.
But this silliness about small guilds not being able to max out Strongholds is just that.
It would be like me being ticked off that the US Navy has better ships then I have. I'm not the US navy, with their funds, manpower, or connections.....
Now I am not as upset with the max as with the fact that the way influence is handed out seems horribly random and broken.
My first toon that I went in with got 60 inf or the first heroic, then 30 for the second, 15 for the third, 10 then 5 then none.
The second toon I went in with got 15 inf, then none and got nothing after that.
So I dusted off a level 63 alt that I haven't played in awhile and did some heroics with a group of guild mates. First one was 30 inf, then 10 inf for the second then 5 and then none.
Now at no time after getting 0 inf on a run did I pick up inf on heroics afterwards...
Also, today 24 hours later. I logged in with the first toon again and got 30 inf, then none (soloing).
Then when I logged in with a second toon, I got the full 120 inf. 60 30 15 10 5.
The whole thing is very weird and unpredictable.
If this is meant to take months... or years... I am fine with that. Large guilds will progress faster, small guilds slower... as it should be. Unfortunately... even if all guilds were equal... this is not a level playing field.
By providing the Strongholds Booster packs in the zen store... Cryptic has provided an expensive (3500 zen) means to rank up the guild hall much much faster... as long as you are willing to pay for it.
So how much would you have to pay? Try about $21,000 in USD if you did it all with booster packs. Sounds like a lot to us that are either free to play, or are casual payers. But there are guilds out there who are filled with those who pay thousands of dollars to have the best gear. Just a guild with 21 players in it... would only mean they have to spend $1000 each.
On the flip side... a guild with 100 active characters... each earning 120 influence a day is a total of 12000 influence per day for the guild. To rank up a guild hall with no boosters based on these numbers... would take 408 days. This of course assumes all 100 characters are used every day to get the influence needed.
What most of us are... or should be doing, is setting the shorter term goal of getting our halls ranked up so we can have markets which contain the new gear. After that... I would expect to see most guilds slow way down on hall advancement.
Unfortunately... I expect we will see guilds with fully ranked halls... bought and paid for... by the time they turn on the PvP aspect of strongholds next month. Those of us that cant do that... will be wiped off the map in seconds.
From a PvE aspect... those guilds will be able to steamroll every dungeon in the game... legit. Good luck pugging into a group if you dont have the right boons and gear. This is just going to make the gap between casual and overpaying players even wider.
My opinion... the boosters never should have been added in the zen store. Let influence be the one thing that ensured a more level playing field. Unfortunately... even after just a few days... it is probably too late.
Pandora's Misfits Guild Leader
Where am I talking about maxing out the stronghold? Guild hall rank 4 and Marketplace rank 2 is hardly "maxing out". This is the level for basic guild gear, not the BiS Dragonflight gear, and what I think smaller, casual guilds would be happy to work for.
So to me, the requirements to reach that level should not be onerous for guilds with 20 or fewer active players.
I agree with ogarious, receiving influence is random and broken. It's bad enough that you have to time-manage to make sure it's been at least 20 hours since the last time you ran a heroic - since Influence is on an individual timer with no universal reset - but even then you may not get the influence you should have earned.
Today I ran 7 or 8 heroics with one character, including at least 2 each of small, medium and large HEs in a party of 4 or 5 people. The first HE rewarded 60 influence, so I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that I at least started in the right time range. I didn't pay attention to rewards after that.
To my dismay, when I went to turn in at the coffer, I had only earned 90 influence.
Ok, I can get behind that.
Replacing AD would be a terrible idea. Most players would then have no reason to any professions at all.
Maybe add it to all professions except Leadership. Will give people a reason to do those professions outside of getting it to 20 for the bonus slots. Just sayin.
Or, and here's a idea. Make it a reward for getting a exceptional tier reward when doing a profession. Connect influence to the tier 3 rewards in some professions, and just leave it on in others in smaller amounts. Vary it up a bit.
I did the HEs with 5 chars yesterday and today (more than 24h later). I did NO HEs after the first time to get the influence, so there was no way for the timer to reset in between, but the influence I got varied from 120 (max) to 90.
A stupid system with a buggy timer, good job.
Furthermore, it does not matter if you need 10 or 100 ppl to do HEs for more than a year EACH day, bc it wont happen. There will be two new modul releases before the time passes. Does anyone really think, that ppl will farm this HAMSTER forever?
What if you replaced AD (or some AD I guess?) with shards of power and influence, but made those two sellable on the AH? The players who make AD outside of leadership could continue to do so, and then buy the materials that can be leadershipped with their AD. Prices would fall, strongholds would be easier to make, everyone lives happily every after.
Well, except people who have no income other than leadership, since the value of their leadership tasks would eventually tank in the face of all the botting, but really, that's how it already is due to prices being set by general availability of funds.
With 50 characters capping influence at 120/day every single day, that will take about 2 yrs. That is really representative of a lot of actual guild participation size in this, assuming near perfect diligence and persistence. In theory the max is if a guild has 120 accounts and 500 characters, and so every player is capping influence everyday on main and 3-4 alts, that would generate 4kk influence in less than 3 months.
I think the cap needs to be removed to be fair to guilds that are not large - otherwise it will most definitely take a very very long time of massive amounts of Zen for them to make reasonable progress. If you want to buy it out straight with SH starter packs ($35/pop for 8k influence) your looking at its almost $15,000 USD even with coupons.

Compared $15k to what it costs to BIS a character with cash only, it isnt that bad. In a vacuum by itself, that's crazy w/ coupons.
