Dragonflight ranking system

I really wanna know how the ranking system works for stronghold dragonflight event. For a few times now, i have been mostly placed on low ranks as a healer. I only use divine glow, bastion of health and healing word, nothing damaging. Btw with these encounters i am mostly among top 5 in tiamat fight. So i was wondering if the ranking system is based on only damage and is it the same for everyone.

On that topic, are the rewards the same, regardless of where you place...or at least the chance of rewards?

Since these are all "guild only" events, the rewards should absolutely, positively, without argument be the same for EVERYONE who participates.

There should be no difference in gold/silver/bronze rewards. If you guys want to keep the ranking system as a sort of "guild bragging rights" thing, that's fine with me. But there should be no difference in your chance to receive rewards.

I don't really mind which rank i'm on if the chances of rewards are the same for everyone. I was just wondering if there is a difference for rewards based on which rank you are on.

I came 26th in a raid today on my DC, however was a gold rank. Earlier on my CW i came 1st (and gold rank) - exact same rewards.

Another round came 2nd on the CW and was less rewards - so it's looking like they rank you based on your role.

It's an event that requires a ton of cooperation, so treat every as an equal contributor and give equal rewards.

Unless they add a metric and title for the Leader role, I think the loot tables should not be linked to a ranking metric. Show me the metric to measure buffing/debuffing....

Just to clear up any potential confusion, your rewards are not affected by your rank at all, if you participate you'll get the reward. Rewards are only affected by the number of dragons killed at one time. The only random elements of rewards are the quality and type of vouchers, the number is dictated by the number of dragons killed.

Thank you so much for that answer Asterdahl. We all greatly appreciate that kind of communication!

Okay, someone might need to check this - our guild is finding that people are varying between the 2 and 3 fangs - in the exact same round of Dragonflight. People that are getting 3 however are ranking gold, hence my comment earlier saying that it looks to be based on the gold, silver, bronze ranking.

You get 1 fang for 2 dragons killed, 2 fangs for 3 dragons and 3 fangs for 4 dragons.

So the amount of Fangs is = Number of dragons - 1.

I have done dragonfighting 4 times.

They were: 1 dragon (blue), 2 dragons (red, green), 2 dragons (red, green), 2 dragons (red, green).

    The fang I got was: 2, 3, 3, 3.

Can you verify the number of vouchers the players are receiving in each case as well? If you could provide screenshots of victory screens, both for the players receiving 2 and the players receiving 3, that might help us identify the issue. In these cases, is your guild killing all 4 dragons, or only 3?

When you say you fought 1 dragon, 2 dragons, etc. was this the number of dragons you personally fought, or your guild?

Guild. I fought one but we coordinate in 2 areas. I don't know if the gold/bronze medal provides anything extra. I don't know if I got gold or bronze because they look similar to me. :)

So you're saying you got 2 fangs when your guild killed 1 dragon? And 3 when you killed 2? Are you including the fangs in the Strongbox? If so, that's the correct number of fangs in each instance. As long as you participate up to a very small minimum requirement you should receive the same reward regardless of how many dragons you personally engaged, or how well you performed.

The number of fangs that drop directly = number of dragons killed - 1, the strongbox always contains 2 fangs.

I don't think I can open any strongbox because I don't have the key. The number I mentioned is what I saw in the contest end announcement box along with vouchers, score, etc.

Let me try again. I think I lose count how many times I did dragonfighting. Based on my inventory, I believe I did 6 times (instead of previously mentioned 4 times). I have 6 StrongBox in inventory. I have 17 fangs. I only recalled I got 2 fangs once, the very first time. All the others are 3 fangs.
    3 * 5 + 2 = 17.

We have finished a dragonflight event just a whlie ago. I was at the last ranking but I got gold bracket. When I asked my guildies they got the same amount of fangs(3) like me and we killed 2 dragons. Also I didn't open any Strongbox.
It's like this from the beginning of this module always the number of fangs is the amount of dragons killed +1.
(I had a picture but I dont know how to upload it so Im just saying >.<)

I'm not convinced it shouldn't just be left like that. Number of dragons killed -1 means if your tiny guild manages to scrape up enough players online at the same time to try the event and successfully kills one dragon, you get... NOTHING! Congratulations on your staggering achievement. Please buy Zen for Strongbox keys.

(Ok, not literally nothing because you earn some seals, but it's really unrewarding for a guild for whom just taking down one is a big deal.)

Thank you all for your assistance, we're currently investigating the issue. Unfortunately in the meantime, we had to take the event offline over the weekend in order to investigate. For full information, please see this post in news & announcements.

We know you're all excited to take on the dragonflight, and taking it down over the weekend was a tough decision. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for those of you planning to run it over the weekend.

So let me get this straight....

    - Influenced is capped at an unreasonable amount of 120.
    - The dragon event is offline.
    - The foundry is offline.
    - Nobody knows what is going on in pvp because it changes from patch to patch.
    - No dungeons to run because there are no rewards.
    - No worthwhile skirmishes to run because there are no rewards.
    - No way to make AD.

    Sounds good!

Just a heads up: the issue with dungeons and skirmishes was resolved in yesterday's emergency maintenance. (Patch Notes)

    - Influence is capped so that you wont finish mod 7 two months before mod 8 will come and scream about not having content
    - i think they broke something
    - people still do foundries?
    - uhh, isn't dynamic pvp good or do you want it to be the same all through out the mods?
    - fixed
    - fixed
    - HEs sometimes drop purple companion equipments that salvage for 6-8k RAD, dungeon hour gives 3k per run (doesn't need to be epic), rhix still gives quests, dungeons give more seals now, daily caches give more seals too.
Let justice be done, though the heavens fall.
