Astral Diamonds and Zen.

So, haven't beeen here a while and i noticed that AD/zen exhcange seems to be dead or i have a glitch. It looks like no one is selling zen for AD. So is there any way now to get zen? Without buying it for real money?

    It is not dead. A 3 million Zen queue is "normal". Just be patient. Your Zen will come. I posted buying 5000 Zen when the queue was 2.5 million. I got my Zen in 3 days.

    People ARE selling Zen, however, because demand for zen is so much higher than supply right now, it doesn't appear for sale. If you put up an offer for 500 AD per zen, and be patient, it WILL be filled. It will just take several days.

    Just a backlog, one of the smaller ones I've seen too.

    As was mentioned above, if you bid less than 500 ad for 1 zen, you may never get your zen.
    Unless there is a 2x RP weekend, and even then no guarantee.

    The amount you ask for does not matter.
    It is first come first served. Period.
    We are probably going through a period where fewer people are selling than normal because they are buying the VIP pack(s).
    Patience. If you bid 500 to 1 you will get your zen eventually.

    But you've been gone. It hasn't been that bad in a long time, and it actually cleared completely when the No-Leadership-on-Gateway announcement came out because people panic-sold a lot of Zen, and then settled back into a very small backlog where it was possible to get Zen within about a day. The current blowup coincides precisely with the announcement of VIP.

    Wrong, amount does matter. If you put a bid in for 499, you won't get served until all the 500s are gone. If more people add 500s, they will get served before you. Only when there is no orders at 500 will any orders at 499 be filled.

    A good rule of thumb is 36 hours per million of backlog assuming you place and order for 500 AD per Zen.

    Also, there is a long standing bug that causes no data to show up in the Top ZEN Listings area under Buy Zen when the price is pegged at 500 AD per Zen. If the price drops to 499 or lower, orders will show there, otherwise it will show nothing. If you click to Sell, you will see orders. Again, though, if the price is at 500, and you bid less per zen, you will never get your order until the there are no orders worth more than yours - you could wait for 2 months and get nothing if the backlog never clears.

    What he was saying, Kvet, is that quantity requested doesn't matter. If you're buying 1000 Zen, you'll be served before the person buying 50, as long as you both are paying 500AD per.

    Edit: I agree that the exchange seems a bit more sluggish than usual at the moment, but also chalk it up to fewer sellers. Not *no* sellers, just more people using their Zen to buy VIP than exchanging it for AD right now.

    He said amount in terms of how much Zen he wants. His amount is not price as how much AD per Zen. He already stated 500. His "first come first serve" is under the condition of the price 500 AD group.

    Oh, I see - I misunderstood. That's correct, in fact, your order will be filled in batches. If you order 1000, it won't wait until there's 1000, if someone sells 25 and you're the next in line, you get 25 and have 975 outstanding to sell, and you keep getting the next sold until your order is filled.

    Yeah I'm sure that it has, just from talking to people it doesn't sound like it's ever gone to the great backlog levels again. (lets hope it doesn't)

    I'll never believe they have stopped the mints. When you hear things like exploits that predate NW making it live, and things on preview servers that are exploitable making it live....unless someone drags them to the exploit and says "Here it is"....they aren't going to fix it. Even then, they may not fix it (some of the current exploits aren't exactly secrets - people openly ask for people to group with them for it).
