Like the title says. I know lots of people are probably going to come in here and disagree, and that's good. As long as things are explained in a constructive manner. With that said, here I go.
Currently, nothing has changed with the 24k AD limit. Neither has there been a increase in rough AD earned for daily quests done. However, what has happened though is that the game has become more stingy after the release of mod 6 with its new level cap and new dungeons. AD generation is basically non existent with mod 6. Current loot tables are poorer then ever, and unless you hit that one jackpot item drop during a dungeon run, which is tough (as it should be) then there is nothing in between that, and virtually worthless drops. There is absolutely no joy in loot from kills whatsoever unless you hit that jackpot item. It's boring, just boring. And outside of dungeons, drops/loot is just a joke all around. Even blue items is an extremely rare sight. And to top it all off, almost everything is BoA or BoP and thus, cannot be sold.
And while those changes has happened, what also has happened is that the game has had more items introduced which in result has increased AD expenses significantly. Leaving players (especially the newer ones) feeling like progression is too difficult as they hit a certain point. All of this combined leads to players feeling frustrated and unmotivated to play. And i don't blame them, its a matter of reward for effort and time spent, and currently those are virtually non existent.
The game needs more excitement in terms of loot. It needs to be more giving, it needs more moments of "Woo! one of "those things" dropped!" both in and outside dungeons. And AD generation needs to be increased to match with the increased expenses for new items that keeps piling on. There are so many things that could have been done here, and SHOULD be done here imo.
Example : Say something like a gmop could be included in the loot table of lvl 71-73 mobs. That would be a very exciting drop. Naturally such a valuable drop should be BoA, and have a very low drop rate (0.125% or something), but what an exciting drop it would be! Something like that would leave a player VERY happy, it's an amazing surprise to encounter in a otherwise fairly linear game play. And this kinda thing could make a world of difference when it comes to finding enjoyment in the game.
There's also new items you could introduce to the game and add to loot tables, that has i'ts uses. Like 4 slot bags that's bop perhaps? Stuff that may make life in NWO a bit easier in small ways. Whatever your creativity can come up with that would be useful to players in the game. If i can think of anything, I'll make sure to add them.
My 2 cents.
Thanks for reading.
Edit : Just got another idea for how to improve the AD situation. With strongholds, include raw AD as a reward with strongholds quests and daily quests. AD sellers don't join guilds. Neither are they able to make a guild consisting of AD sellers for the obvious reason that it would simply be too risky, if one member of such a guild gets caught, then they all would go down. Should they try a tactic where they create a guild for a short amount of time (24 hours or less) then that also is an action where they can be easily tracked via logs.

This has been brought up ad nauseum... and nothing will be changed bout it.
They removed the Lord Protector dailies which were almost always double what Rhix was giving. In fact it has been so long, I forget all of the ways that we would generate AD.
In fact I was collecting about 35k to 40k AD a day... before M6 came out.

And how much do you collect per day now?

LMAO... since I have only been playing for almost 5 months... I have one toon at 16 leadership. Combined with my resistance to do any DD, due to lag, Dom or GG due to exploits and premade abusers... I generate a max of 10k AD/ day. It is higher when I choose to PvP... but only by 8000 AD.

Pre mod 6 a rank 7 did 60% of what a rank 10 did. Now 40% of the stats are between 10 and 12. A rank 7 does 28% of what a 12 does. So you need a 10 to get back to where you were relative to bis.
If you're playing an mmo progression is important, obviously. It should also be technically feasible to get to bis within a year because the goalposts are always going to move within a year. The new accounts right now will never ever catch up. As regards pve it didn't matter so much in the last 2-3 mods because the content was really easy. And still people left because they knew they weren't going to get there, ever.
I'm thinking yeah probably they should increase the loot you can get. And I say that while atop the gear mountain from having been around since open beta.

Your honesty is well appreciated. I'm hoping more players like you who's on top of the gear mountain will support this post.

Last time we told them this, they saw it fit to add T2 gear at a 80% drop rate to the dragon heralds... Of course they knew it would last for only a few weeks and then turn completely worthless, but still.
Anyway, OT: I agree. With 8 free slots per character you roughly make 12-15k AD a day. It's pretty sad when your game currency has to come from not playing the game. And even then it's lousy. Sure, you can do a few dungeons and skirmishes if you can find the people for it, but even /legit isn't that active anymore. In part because they'll be testing mod6 (no that's not a typo), but the fact remains that without a very active guild and enough DCs and GF/OP in it, you won't run much and won't make much AD.
And during RP events the whales who don't even play the game anymore but just sit and watch the AH 24/7 buy everything and try to sell it back to us at 300% profit. And then wonder why the sales weren't as good as expected.
Yeah, dungeon runs for profit was another thing that was made not viable with mod 6. You pay 5k for a key, the item dropped from chest gives you 6k AD if i remember correctly (eCC). You get 2 seals per boss, 40 seals during event. You need at least 400 seals to purchase a "Elven" type piece of armor piece (chest costs more) and you get what? 8k AD for that? If your'e really lucky however you might get a gmop, but that happens how often? 1 out of 10 runs?
Like i mentioned above, there's no drops in between "garbage" and the "jackpot" in terms of item value. It's just depressing.
From beta to around the end of mod 2 the thing to do to make ad was split runs. One person sells the item the other 4 put up a portable altar for a fifth of the value and the seller buys them. You ate the auction house 10% loss but it was no big deal. If you knew a lot of good players you could have hundreds of thousands rolling in on a daily basis. I used to get ad from runs I had totally forgotten about. People rarely tried to screw each other because knowing good players was worth more than any individual drop and when newbies were introduced to the system we used to give them a rank 7 or 8 to hold as collateral if they were nervous about being told to pass to the seller. Good times.

lol man. I used to buy blue level 60 gear for 175 ad or less, sell em for gold and then use that gold to buy a dragon egg or a gmop or something, and than selling that on the AH. What a slow and tedious way to profit it was xD

C'mon jimmyhar... use the proper font and color for sarcasm.
BTW... I have not seen one rAD reward in SH.
I know. What i'm doing is suggesting for them to implement it as rewards that you get from quests given in the SH zone. If there is anywhere to reward players with RAD without gold/ad sellers/bots benefiting from it, then SH is it. Since you NEED to be in a guild in order to enter the stronghold zone, its perfect as gold/ad sellers/bots does not join guilds.

I agree 100%. I also feel that there needs to be a lot more RP stuff dropping including gmops. I DO NOT CARE if they feel that there will be nothing to do after everything is refined. The PLAYERS DON'T CARE. Many of us have MANY alts. Each of those alts have artis and enchantments as well... that need to be refined.
They do not seem to say that to players like imblindinrl... because I am sure BiS means done with refining. Many of those players though have alts that they may want to refine stuff with.

Near the end of mod 3 I had one of each class with top end gear and all had fairly decent enchantments. I could play any one of them in pvp and/or pve and do fine.
Im now down to two chars, niether of which is anywhere close to 4k iLevel. The other 6 are completely forgotten about and are now mules...
I dont know what to say. I dont want to be negative but I cant seem to find anything to be positive about sadly.

I feel you man. I personally feel like there isn't any exciting things in the game as well as that the progression curve is very flawed. Last time I felt like anything was fun and exciting in the game was when i got my T2 armor pieces. But after that was done, there all of a sudden wasn't any incentive to run dungeons anymore. I already had my armor pieces and dungeons didn't give any profit, so that came to a sudden stop. There was no more reward for time or effort spent no more from doing dungeon runs. All i do now days is log on, do dailies, manage auctions, invoke, talk in guild chat and see if any guildies needs help and then i log out.
Its a bad cycle that wont break until the devs does something about it unfortunately. It's not like the devs haven't implemented things to keep players busy. But the problem is that they forgot about adding excitement and fun in the process, and all that's left is just mindless grind for days with little to none unexpected exciting surprises along the way. And there's also the issue of a rather unstable character progression curve.

I have been so bored that I started to finish the areas in Drowned Shores, Reclamation Rock and Fiery Pits that I never went to because I passed them up for the next level.
Talk about bored. Now I spend most of my time in the preview shard.
Atwil "At" - Tiefling TR / Saardush - Black Dragonborn GWF / White - Tiefling OP
Coffers, stones, and belts from the Well. Dragon Eggs and cloaks from Tiamat, Epic marks from Dread Ring. All good AD makers. Just not enough to progress our toons in our lifetime.lol
Coffers, stones and belts? Guess perhaps iv'e missed something here? As for Tiamat, doing that thing results in fail way too often. Iv'e succeeded once in 7 runs. Got nothing but garbage for reward every time. Was definitively a waste of my time.

Bro, you sound like you don't just need a break, you need a vacation. With that said, i think i could use that as well haha
Capping on a 70 isn't really too hard. Dungeon Key during Dungeon event w/ Daily = 6000 AD, Skirmish during skirmish event = 1k but if you run Kessel you can get a neck/ring to salvage for 3k ad each.
Run Kessel 3 times for Skirmish daily and get 3k AD.
6k AD from Skirmish and Dungeon Daily
3k from AD event
3k from Invoking
3k ad per ring/amulet
You only need 4 runs to Cap 24k. Unless you run during Skirmish event 3 times, then you only need 3 runs.
If you think AD generation in the game is poor, do a quick search about leadership farms.
I STILL generate 750k AD per day and refining stones on top of that.
You could say the problem of the game is how making money is so one-way. There's really no other way, but when you do, it works really well
It's realisticly the only way newer players can catch up to the current veterans, invest in the right places (Enchants before gear, always invest in whats durable and doesnt get updated fast, first.) and by stacking up alot of leadership. Even with these gains I am still at the bottom of the ladder, I'm using r7s and I have a couple weapon and armor enchants, because the truth is I've been re-investing all my gains back into leadership. And yes I have been on this game since mod 4, nowhere near those beta player veterans but I handle myself. And so would you if you think the same way as me
I'm thinking long term cause I'll be on this game for a long time
I am the monk, martial skill transcends the battlefield
It is my my life style, my doctrine and my state of mind,
You fight well, but without focus and discipline, you will fall.
I win Tiamat several times a day when it is at 100 percent.lol There is a link to my zerg channel in the guild recruiting section. We have a good win/loss ratio. It is called 2.2k Zerg. Dragon hoard coffers that drop from Heralds sell fast, as do purple and blue resonance stones. Lostmauth cloaks and belts are worth a lot for now.
So its like IWD v2.0 xD. I did join in that zerg for a lil bit a few days ago without much luck. But is it fun to do something like this for hours on end to generate some additional income? I did not enjoy IWD zerg train, and especially not after the removal of the aquamarines (something that they should have made BoP instead of removing it all together) so i don't think i'll enjoy WoD zerg any more then that. I'll admit i cant say for sure as i haven't tried it nearly enough to give it a justified critique. So that gives me something to do for at least a little while today.
I'll share my thoughts on it later on. With that said though, i still feel that the game needs more options, that it needs more unpredictable goodie stuff to occur. And especially in the soloing department.
