Management to shareholders*-> " Look how much longer people are playing, We're obviously on the right track."
Fixed that for you. Any dev worth his salary knows this is not the answer to the storm that's raging across this game.
Nope, I'm starting to think I'm right on this one. You said it yourself "Any dev worth his salary...."
Unless there is serious micromanagement going on, management and shareholders only care about the money coming in. It's up to the worker bees, in this case developers, to provide a good product that that people want to support.
WHY HAVENT THE DRAGON HOARD ENCHANTS BEEN FIXED YET
Because they are working as intended and they nerfed them to bend over the honest players because as we all know bots can easily get around the restrictions placed on them!
thats bullpuckey! they said they were looking into it and thats the last thing weve heard. THAT WAS MONTHS AGO. Clearly they are all talk and no action.
The only decent thing the we (the players community) can do, is to boycott this disgrace!
STOP playing until they come up with a game we want.
They´re laughing and spitting on us since everybody just moans but keeps playing.
That´s it for me at least, don´t delete anything but there many better games that deserve our attention and time, but Neverwinter became a SHAME due to this imbearable ignorance and/or incompentence.
In this world the only power of the people is NOT to consume NOT to buy and forget that HAMSTER.
I love the 50% hp increase/25% damage decrease on 6-70 mobs. This will not effect much in dungeons since most of those mobs are L71+. However, when soloing quests in Sharandar, Dread Ring, IWD, Well of Dragons, it will mean new L70's can at least have a chance of surviving.
It won't affect Shar, DR, IWD, or WOD either: the enemies are all 71+.
Wake me when the designers actually start listening. I'll be playing Overlord.

Not sure how the mob balance thing will work out but I haven't tried it yet to speculation is pointless. Everything else in the patch looks good immediately. Going to speculate anyway that the mob balance thing will work out much better than some will predict.
You're probably doing something wrong then. The fastest I can level a toon from 1 to 70 is about 36 hours of gameplay. 1-60 takes me roughly 18 hours. 60-70 is another 18 hours. Are you using Azures in your utility slots? Equipping a cheapo lvl 60 arti belt for the extra utility slot? Using Xvim and Mulhorand/Dragon Bone? All of these are available to every player and don't take that long to farm them. Be smart with your time and you'll see that this change will only shorten the time it takes to level a toon from 1-70.
I'm not doing anything wrong. I have a life, a family and a job.
~snip~
It should take MONTHS to level to cap. Not a day and a half.
A damned well-designed game would be this way. I reiterate: a damned well-designed game would be this way. Neverwinter was originally designed to be a 60-hour game from tutorial to level 60 (per CEO interview statements during alpha period). Anyone who zergs that in 18 hours is someone who: 1) doesn't have a "life" and 2) Probably needs one and 3) Badly. (And let's make it clear that we are talking about life priorities, here.) LOL
THUS, @instynctive I remind you that it is incredibly likely that people like @mythosyggdrasil who can and will zerg games like this are often adolescent (meaning 20-somethings or younger - and there's nothing wrong with that).
And at you adolescents - there's nothing wrong with you zerging games like this. The 'wrong' part about it is thinking anyone else who doesn't is some kind of amateur who doesn't know how to play and is therefore doing it 'wrong' or is in some way "lesser" than you. By which you couldn't be any more wrong in your life.
PROTIP: Proclaiming someone else "must be doing it wrong" because they aren't as fast as you or jump as high as you and all the rest makes you look like an egotistical azzhat baffoon. It has the counter-effect from what you want.
If you have good gear, this change won't effect you much.
If you are new and/or don't have good gear, this change will give you a very small chance to do some content with a higher survival chance... unless taking down one group of enemies takes you longer, then the respawn... then you are evern more screwed up then before the patch.
I mean, have they even considered that possibility?
Or are they expecting, that everyone is running around in good gear and has that heavy upgraded?
Feels like they have no idea on what is going on in their own game.
I agree with Lirithiel and Silverkelt completely. My main is DC, as soon as I saw the patch notes, I cried inside and freaked out aloud. My DC is 70 thank goodness. But I'm busily getting destroyed in IWD, Shan, etc. because redcaps can full heal themselves and the mob im fighting? And you're only concern is the mobs to level cap? While I'm stuck not being able to do anything in IWD, etc? As Metalldjt said, do you people even play your own game? This is probably one of about, actually most of, your updates that was just completely stupid.
So trash mobs lvl 70-73 that did 10 k a hit do 7.5 k a hit. Thats still to mutch. 4x7.5 =30 k i have 70 k hp. Btw dont tell me to get better gear i am but its not that bad. its still trash mobs. Oh and they had like 200-400k hp so now they have 300-600 k. So still i must grind lvl 65-68 mobs. But you are on the right track and there was a few good things atleast.
Comon start server already...
HAMSTER forgot. no less dam on 70 areas then? omg wonder if you are drunk all the time? had some hope that i could try them now but that went down the toilet.
so it seems like it will affect grinding areas past the underdark in game content not add health to the pre 60 mobs. i guess when ill get in ill find out. it prob means more encouraged group gameply for fresh 60-70 players in those 4 elemental zones to make the day easier as i was always more of a loner gamer . they arent addressing lv 73 mobs as much as i would like . i think encounters and enemies in iwd and wod needs an upgrade in power and hp for the mobs there. i see too much soloing encounters as i can almost solo minor ones now . make them tougher or make them lv 75 to make encounters a group thing . it was always a special end game area. the monsters should make people pay for being lazy and hacking and slashing . keep sharandar and dread the same i suppose but the two other areas need more challenges so one gwf doesnt solo major ones alone like ive been seeing .
I've been without power for two days, thanks to a fast-moving storm. I'm running off a generator, and have a mere trickle of an Internet thanks to my phone (barely enough to invoke with). I won't be seeing power restored until some time tomorrow most likely.

I have to agree. They seem to be intentionally driving players away.
The developers cannot possibly be this blind to the game. These decisions must be forced on them by PW.
