We’re really curious to see what people think of these new mounts and look forward to seeing them in game.

So. Why are you curious? Given all the problems with the game that players are reporting, given the fact that players are saying your game isn't fun (for whatever reason) and are quitting in droves because of it, and give what has been expressed as a new willingness to listen to player concerns, why would you need to be curious what people will think of this? I mean, wouldn't you make sure to have taken player desires into account closely before adding a major new item like this so that, which you may be interested in seeing it used "in the wild" so to speak, you would at least already have a pretty good understanding of how players will react to this mount... no?

Yeah, they should have already had a pretty danged good idea of what their players think of their precious new mounts before that article went up.

Listening to player concerns, are we?

Well, I sent my direct responses and inquiries to the community manager and devs, but what I want to stress publicly is that this is NOT a step in the right direction for getting this game back on track. There is no need to beat a dead horse, as we all should be aware of by now, new content development is on a separate schedule and different teams then those that are working on bugs and issues of already deployed content.

This is the opening gate for a specific type of MMO system that cannot be named. Continuing to develop items with this type of trend is a type of Rubicon, once you cross this, there is no going back and it WILL NOT be to the benefit of the future of this game.

Yea honestly this feels like a really cheap move, adding one mount that is better than any other in every way and having to buy hundreds of lottery tickets for it even if you don't like the look of it. At least when you added the fact that there's only one artifact weapon you could change it's appearance and have multiple ways to get it.

The way you have introduced the new tier of mounts just feels like a flat out money grab, I mean I don't mind spending money to ride an interesting or really nice looking mount. But this just feels forced, throwing money at something that yields very low results for something you dislike just because it has better stats whilst there being no other way to obtain said item.

Honestly it's just bad business, it's completely limiting choice and renders every other mount regardless of ascetics inferior. Please change something, whether it be the way the mount is acquired or allow us to upgrade our previous mounts.

although i got the ad and the zen i do feel sad for those people who bought those packs days ago.. then a new superior mount comes.. maybe now its 4k movement speed tomorow regen power or other stats. its says also 4k movement sppeed is like 10% movement w/c does nothin for you if your HR GF OP being a slow mo type of charcter... IF there is another slower chracter than HR should be GWF... its no wonder big swords are heavier than big bows.

I wouldn't feel bad for pack buyers - they still have a 110% mount for all their characters. Even if they did get an AGS, it's for one character.

As I've said before, the movement buff and click effect need to be applied to all mounts for this not to be unbalancing.

Historically, I've found very few times when Cryptic has retroactively applied a beneficial change. They seem more inclined to operate in a "NO something for nothing" operational model.

110% Zen-store mounts are account-wide as well. I don't know that I care whether the buff be applied retroactively, but I would like to see an option to apply that buff to my existing mounts. Don't care if it's even a one-off buff to a single character's mount. I'd save up for an upgrade to my Giant Spider mount that would make it Legendary with stats similar to the ugly orange ostrich.
