"New" beginning or the same old stuff, it won't matter at this stage. The gap between the rich and the poor is way too big. They won't lower the difficulties of content just to make the poor relevant. They will have to create new content for the have-nots to make them stay... but this won't happen.
It would be nice if the difficulty got lowered a bit. I just tried doing Ghost Stories on my level 70 OP with all blue gear and 78k morale with a 1780 iLvl. Couldn't do it at all. Not even close. Had no problem getting down to the cemetery but once there I died in less than 5 seconds. Barely even got a few encounter powers off before I was dead. Tried it 3 times in the cemetery and was killed so fast each time, I just gave up. Heck, the Dread Ring area was easier than that.
I did Ghost Stories on my OP at around 65 with very little difficulty. And she isn't twinked at all so just has gear from levelling. Mind you, she is a Justice path Protection Pally - I guess a Devotion Pally would have a harder time.
...and, well, I've heard some soothing noises, seen some small movements in the right direction - which again have ceased.
That is my problem...
As I wrote above: I'm all for having patience. But a one-time burst of communications is one or two powers of ten less than I have expected. Currently I see the apparent standard Cryptic approach of trying to ignore the problem away. Newly arisen problems, the mention of which might lead to thread lockdown, too, BTW.
I heard the promise, but I don't see it being honored. This includes as well the state of the game (balance) as the communication...

Also bear in mind lvl 65 is more powerful than 70. At 65 you havnt had your stats nerfed as hard by the curve.
I just want a solid realistic reason why they removed all the dungeons when the ones in the queue either are too easy, too hard, or just plain broken and not even playable in. I mean seriously would they have been any better than what you have now? Oh and for the love of god remove malabog from the queue you are just embarassing yourselves with it. Its only there so you didn't have to remove the malabog key entry from the sharandar campaign page. We all know it doesn't work and theres plenty of people learning the hard way after they spend AD on the key only to realize its fully and ******edly broken. Shores isn't that far off from being as broken too as of late.

Fair point. Although my gear was a lot worse at 65 than it is at 70. I've been on hiatus waiting for the patch with the new gear to drop so haven't tried the ToD lairs at 70 yet.

There is probably a 'sweet spot' where the players are at their strongest in the 61-70 range (until they get full BiS gear) for doing dailies, which is actually a pretty chilling indictment of the new stat scaling system.

Haven't been having any trouble with the GS quest on my 70 pally. She only has the gear she's gotten from questing and as drops, too. Not insanely geared at all. I can't do GS on any of my OTHER classes of characters, but I can do it pretty painlessly (no deaths) on my pally.

I wish they hadn't taken away Shores normal. There goes my option to try to gear up a little from chests. Have to be geared to do Epic shores, can't get gear unless you can do Epic stuff. I don't have the time to spend doing dungeons to gear up, but a quick skirmish occasionally is something I can do. Not anymore. /sigh
I accidentally queued Epic Shores the first time I felt my pally was capable of doing normal Shores, because I hadn't realized there was only Epic now. It's the only Epic queue that doesn't say "Epic" in the queue list. (Well, it does, but it's at the END of the name, so you have to be paying serious attention to see it.) I never would have queued that time if it had just said "Epic Shores of Tuern" instead of "Shores of Tuern Epic."
The only real change I see is I can't play the game cause all my pre mod 6 tier 2 eq is obsoleate. The Dread. Sharander. are all 1 short kills areas now. I used to do them with diffeculty but would not die aginst 3 Mirrior Images every time. This game is not fun anymore.

I am just going to call bull on this one. Because at level 65 you are made level 70, and I needed help doing ghost stories because I certainly didn't have the time to wait while taking forever killing one group of mobs. At level 70, I slaughter them fast now, so this entire argument is flawed because if you were correct, I should be taking even longer to kill the same group of mobs than I was at 65. So, demonstrably and provably wrong.

Why didn't all those "too easy"-people take that unique piece of advice pre-Mod-6...
...also why don't you take your own advice?
Do you feel better now?
I hate when people get rude and offensive because others have diverging opinions - and then dare try to boss, order, bully people around and call them names. It IMHO gives reason to doubt their maturity. It's impolite and definitely does not do their opinion any good. Also, the recommendation at the ending does hint a a certain lack of self-reflection...
...and it would all be sooo easy, dear OP: Most of the threads not to your liking have completely unambiguous thread titles - though not this one - why do you even open those? If you would not do that, you wouldn't even - if you took your own advice - have to leave.
On topic:
I think the "Hurt/Heal"-thread might be taken as another step in the right direction. Though it's a terribly time-consuming way to conduct a poll...
At face value, it shows some commitment to assessing the opinion of the playerbase. And with a pinch of wishful thinking one might assume it'd imply something like a long-term plan involving overworking certain classes, which should hopefully do them something good. Though if this really were the case, IMHO it would have been better, and should have been possible, to take those classes / paragon paths where the server presence has dropped after Mod 6, or never has been high at all, as a preselection for the field.
But...
...yeah, after looking over the exact wording, it probably is just a game and nothing else... ...so it might also be another feint in the right direction. "Has captured the players' hearts" is a thrillingly vague expression, after all. This might also just as well be the prelude to finding out where a nerf will hurt the most...
A good and IMHO indicated approach would have been e.g. a poll à la "Which class has been hit the hardest by the Mod 6 changes". This would still not signify a binding commitment, but an acknowledgement that there might be problems, some of which are maybe class-specific, and demonstrate an interest in finding out more about the details. By the way doing surveys or polls is a standard way among companies all over the world to find out why customers are dissatisfied when their business stalls or they get increasing amounts of negative feedback...
So I see another vague movement of indeterminate sincerity that might be aimed in a direction I'd appreciate.
Why can't I help feeling like I'm being taken for a ride???
No, I didn't. But upping communication isn't exactly something that has to be planned and executed over several weeks or months.
Workgroup meeting:
"OK, From this week on we'll compile a weekly progress bulletin. Everybody write one or two paragraphs and email them to me every Monday until 12. Make this short and suitable for copy-pasting into something like a blog article. This shouldn't take more than ten or fifteen minutes of your time. Thank you."
At least this is the way this is done when the boss wants that updating. And it works. Might take a nudge or two with certain employees, but it works.
Not happening here...
And the changes seen so far are >95% bugfixes and fixes for obvious negligences and exploits. BTW mostly for errors reported during preview testing, known since January or February.
I'm all patient, still. But I'm also not getting the impression that the words are followed by deeds...

You need level 61+ gear in level 61+ zones.
