Would you mind sharing your farming tips? I certainly would love to learn some better ways to farm astral diamonds as we need them for all kinds of stuff :)

I just reached 6000zen i just also farm AD i use 4 chars, one lvl 60, lvl 42 lvl 31 and lvl 32. I do daily skirm and pvp, i found dungeon takes too long to get everything done. I also use 3 4 and 5 pro slots all geared towards leadership getting AD.
I have spent no money, i typically make 15k refined ADs per character without double Ads.
Im always lookin for more ways to get more tho

Well a lot of people take the economy on this game too serious and think there are actual secrets to making AD when in reality a simple swift through the PC forums will show you an in depth look at the most efficient ways to make AD.

Aye, check the Guides sticky there. Here's the post that has some AD tips threads linked. The "Pre-Module 6 Guides" will mostly still be relevant to you all on the XBOX.

I have two characters on my Neverwinter account so far, a Hunter Ranger and a Devoted Cleric. I'm usually able to churn out around 60k astral diamonds per day by completing daily skirmishes, PVP matches and dungeons. Invoking helps a tiny bit, so does my leadership skills. If you complete all your quests and hold onto them until everything is ready to switch over then turn them in quick, you can accept more dailies from Rhix and get more diamonds that way. I suppose thats pretty obvious though. lol

Trace's Guide to AD Creation pretty much covers every possible method there is to make AD in this game. Oh wait... was this supposed to be some sort of secret or something? ... My bad

Lol, hey man thanks for the info, i know my posts have come off as aggro towards you and in no means ment to be.
I honestly wonder if u were to salvage epics if u were to get more ADs, any knowledge on this idea? Or are the epics far more valuable in other means?

It's no worries man. No offense taken. I understand that the context of text is often lost and often predetermined by a persons mood while reading it (i.e. if you read something while you're angry, what you're reading tends to be interpreted as also being angry).

To answer your question though. It really depends on the item AND whether or not there is a 2x AD event going on. Salvaging things becomes a great deal more profitable if there is a 2x AD event. Your best rule of thumb is to go over to the salvaging area, check how much you'd get for salvaging the item, and then check the Auction House and see if the item in question is selling for more than it's salvage value.

Generally speaking, T1 and T2 rings, belts, and necklaces/capes never sell for more than salvage value so it's best to just salvage those. However T2.5 items (indicated by the word "Ancient" in front of the titem name) tend to sell quite well and are never worth salvaging even during 2x AD events just because they still only salvage for T2 values. An example of this, I have two rings that are of the same type but different tiers. One is a Grand Berserker ring and the other is an Ancient Berserker ring. Stats wise the difference between the two is minimal at best. The Ancient ring will have a grand total of 12 extra GS points over the Grand ring, I can tell you without even checking the Auction House (mainly because this particular example happened to me just yesterday) that the Grand Berserker ring will be listed on Auction House for less than 6k AD, it'll salvage FOR 6k AD, so in that instance, salvage it. The Ancient ring though is a great deal more rare and sought after, checking the Auction House you'll see IT going for somewhere in the neighborhood of 100k to 200k AD (mine sold for 110k). Because the Ancient ring is still TECHNICALLY a T2 as far as the game sees it (but players refer to it as T2.5) it still only salvages for 6k AD. So the choice would pretty obviously be to sell on AH.

So yes, TL,DR version Check the salvage value then check AH to see which is the better way to go.

With the prices for basic alchemy components, I'm wondering if churning them out (only 10min a task) might be a money maker?

It has potential, but you'd be competing with a lot of people who churn those components out by doing Profession event node farming runs. Best Alchemy related stuff to make money on is the high end Distilled potions and such tat cannot be acquired by other means

The problem is (obviously) that you're getting something rare and selling it off for profit - if you tell us, we'll flood the market and your method will become unprofitable.
Good on you for finding a way to provide something that the market obviously wants. They win, because they don't have to hunt out whatever it is you're finding for them - and you win sweet cashy money. I suggest keeping the exact method to yourself and make money while you can.

I'll suggest one thing that can help low level players make money:
The alchemy profession requires lots of 'minor' potions for research that are a pain to make. While you're level 1-10 put any minor potion (other than healing) on the market place for 50-200ad each (with buyouts), and they should sell pretty quickly.
Don't bother putting them up without a buyout - people who need them want them now - they won't wait 24 hours for the auction to finish.
