TR with DC sigil could ride on a vicious cycle of ITC - Bloodbath immunity and cooldown reset. Mod 5 the Rise of Rogues is over. This has been broken for awhile. TR is a solid class but no longer will be all-powerful god this mod.
And my prediction is they will suck big time cause current GWF is destroyer and requires:
- Skill to time your sprint to defend or you get CCed to death/ DPSed down fast
- Skill to actually time and aim your powers cause you currently go HD/mark/FLS/IBS and if you miss FLS you can say bye bye to IBS for 16-17 seconds.
- Skill to actually time your daily power (usually savage advance) or it gets easily dodged and you don't have guaranteed uberdamage like SE vs GWFs/SWs.
- If you mess up your rotation when your low on stamina in the middle of a fight, you can't dodge roll immunity spam away, back into stealth. Can try to sprint, then unless you've full stamina bar, get wrecked.
- Current unstoppable does not offer that much protection on GWF destro, so even going unstoppable more should not increase survivability to OP levels, just match what other classes already have
- 20% run speed during unstoppable is useful if you know how to play, but is still useless if you are unskilled cause other classes dodges are more reactive, you must predict and anticipate the enemy movements or you miss.
- Would get SEd down from their ex-class cause you know, SE taking away 90% of my 90k HP through unstoppable+sprint+43/86% tenacity is still not fixed.
- Going unstoppable more is worthless vs current GF if you don't know how to play and get through their guard
- Going unstoppable more is worthless vs TRs if you don't have the skills to actually catch them through their stealth/immunities/dodges, knife edge fix or not. A skill-less player would just miss all his hits.
- You need to know how to stack damage, when and how to use your powers and then you need to flawlessly land (aim and time) your stun to then land your big hits. Cause if you do not, your base DPS suck, your only nuke does not land and your temp HP, main survivability source, suck.
- You cannot 4v1/3v1 like TRs cause you get shot down in the blink of an eye. Unless your enemies are really undergeared and unskilled.
If FOTM players look for an easy mode class to play god, my prediction is they will may be try GWF after buffs (which we still have to see, we don't know what devs will give us in the end since they said the announced changes were not final) then switch to something easier to play, with more passive and cheesy stuff where you don't really have to actually use your brain too much to be successful.
May be cause i don't use negation, my bad. I automatically get away from everything that gets BiS/ OP with every player jumping on it. Using lathander set, i go for soulforged.
You are right about the sinergy but i think it's an enchant issue. Negation imho seems too powerful right now compared to other enchants. Barkshield prices dropped so fast i didn't even notice it (hope they buff the enchant to Mod6 levels and tone down negation a bit).
Negation is pretty much the defensive equivalent of current Terror.
Both enchants need a tone down.
Still, a GWF can be countered with debuffs and prones to prevent them from going unstoppable and a destro can be shot down through unstoppable+ temp HP is focused by a couple of CWs/DPS classes. So if they can't land their encounters in the meanwhile/ are bad players, they will just last a bit longer than die vs good players.
Also, current HD buff seems to proc in any case (no matter if you hit a player or hit thin air with it). So simple solution is making the stack a bit longer but activating only if you actually hit the target.
Cause you need to aim and time your powers (FLS-IBS) or you don't deal much damage. May be (prediction) players will try sentinel with negation and vorpal with high dex/crit chance and HD damage buff, to go tanky with decent damage. But if you fix negation, base GWF DR is now like 20-25% which is usually debuffed a ton by terrors/PFs/TVorpals constantly, being a melee fighter, plus occasional RoE, and a 10% DR buff meaning 10% faster determination gain is not game breaking imho.
Plus, Destro determination gain from damage again requires the player to know how to stack damage and land hits or the determination gain is almost unnoticeable.
So, consider how GWF base DR is lower now, and always hugely debuffed due to enchants rework. Means mitigation comes from proactive sprint, mainly. So if you suck at using it, you get little advantage.
Problem is Negation enchant itself, not the class or the planned buffs.
The only class that can give problems to a negation GWF and go toe-to-toe with him and have the upperhand is a Tabbed Shield CW. And the CW doesn't even need to use a daily like the TR needs SE to kill the GWF. I have no problems at all with these negation wearing sheep.
But then again.. the CW is a well-rounded class, too well-rounded.
But yeah on topic... thank god Knife's Edge is finally fixed. Next up is Piercing Damage.. then TR's will start using tactical strategies instead of spamming things with that CD reduction.

I did not choose KE feat because of the bug so this will have no effect on me. I did switch to a sab since they wrecked scoundrel and exe but I play a WK so no SE and no ITC -- yet I am not spared the insults of having every single capstone and feat and paragon ability.
I have TR and CW and GWF honestly i don't care if they nerf TR to the bottom i will always play TR as my main and i didn't know about Knife's Edge bug until now

im gettin constant 30-70k crits from GF on my bis geared GWF at lv 70 pvp
That is an extremely well-geared Conqueror.
On top that;
1- After sustaining 5 hits he has a 20% damage buff and a 10% crit buff due to his capstone feat
2 - He is using Into the Fray, which means he is boosting his damage by 25% x 25% x 25% x 25% of his damage resistance.
3 - He has Combat Superiority passive slotted, that increases his damage by 10% against a player that hits him. If he has feated it (T5 Conqueror feat) he will then have a permanent 15% damage buff when Combat Superiority is slotted
4 - I can't tell, but if he has taken Wrathful Warrior, every time he activates Into the Fray he receives temp hit points, which cause him to do 15% more damage
5 - If he has taken the Shielded Resurgence and Grit heroic feats, they will both also trigger Wrathful Warrior (15% damage buff each)
6 - If he has taken the T1 Tactician feat, Crushing Pin, he will do a further 10% damage to an enemy he has struck with a control power
7 - As a Conqueror he could've taken Jagged Blades feat which will cause his target to bleed for 750% of his weapon damage if he crits.
8 - What is the quality of the opponents? They look very soft to me.
As you can see, it is a specific path, build and play style he has invested in. Protectors cannot do what the above GF does, can't even come close. The Conq capstone + feated Combat Superiorty is 35% damage buff alone and that outstrips anything a Protector can do. They are likely to lose out on the crit bleed as well. Good Protectors will just wear you down over time.
Tacticians can come closer working around the Crushing Pin feat and control (Lunging Strike can be feated to interrupt and Anvil of Doom to stun on top of FLS, BC, GW, IS, TI), but still no match for the above GF's setup. At best they will do half of the damage.
But yes, break the class because of a video of a very specific build.

You complain for what? An encounter that its damage is modified by the previous use of two (2) encounters.Basically we are talking for a full rotaion then.
60k anvil? A lucky crit and as said in the spesific case it is not te result of an encounter by itself;rathet the result of a well timed whole rotaion.
In mod6 60k rotaion is poor.Any Tr if he slots LB,DStrike,Deft strike will overperform the GF by 100%.

It is stronger and in a very good place, but they are not immortal or OP. They take some time to die, but it is a tank, it should take time to die. Offensively we got a base weapon damage buff (something we've needed since Mod 2), but aside from that our offensive feats have remained the same for 2 mods now, they just added the Jagged Blades feat to Conqueror path.
I'm a decently-skilled GF and I have maintained a 3:1 K/D ratio since Mod 4. In Mod 3 was around 1.5:1, so yes, we've gotten better but a well-played GF has been able to perform well for some time now. No comparison to CWs, TRs, DCs, GWFs and HRs over the past 2 mods, but still effective in good hands. Its just now the good ones are even better.
