i want you to enjoy the game, there is sharandar, dread ring, 3man dungeons you can do easily, explore etc. im for content for everybody, i just dont want the part of content that i like nerfed to oblivion, few challenging zones
shield on tab op, though as i was lvl 63 with some trash mod2 epic weapon, i didnt do any damage and had like 2% life steal, i think i didnt get hit for over 15k~20k, it took 2 giants like 2 or 3 min to kill me with decent life steal and some practice(havent played cw since mod2) i could kill them

havent tested on cw since its profession alt atm, but on GWF 15% + life steal is quite decent, below that the procs are too rare, cw have range and more cc, but also ls has reduced chance on aoe(if they didnt change it back)
with enough hp(aka being able to survive long enough to proc) 15% chance at 100% severity is about the same as 100% chance @ 15% severity
Its nice to have a challenge, but theres a difference between challenge and lack of difficulty scaling. You go from the upper 60's content to IWD/WoD and the difficulty between the mobs is huge. Its fine when theres a scale and its greadual to match your level and gear level, but when you jump from hard to insane with no steps between, people get ansty and admittedly I'm one of them.
I tried solo'ing WoD's earlier for dailies on my GF, she has 100k hp at the moment and reasonable equipment for someone who just hit lvl70 and it is very hard to solo there, to the point where if any other additional mob comes my way im dead. It takes longer for less exp and don't even get me started on tiamat. A group of us went for tiamat just today before maintenance, we just defeated the heralds and severin, but come the protection phase we had no chance. In comparison to the mobs we're squishy even as a team, its just not possible as things currently stand.
I appreciate for those running in a group its not a problem, but a lot of us dont have the time to assemble groups every time we want to do a few quests, i want to be able to run quests alone and for them to be possible within reasonable time. On my TR who has better gear and stats, i still have trouble. Sure he can kill them pretty quick, but he's liable to die on a very regular basis because the average hit against my gf is 10k... thans your average whack whack hit, not an encounter skill. On my TR with lesser defense and deflection and hp... thats alot and a potion that heals 10k... wow... what a difference lol, not enough to keep you alive whilst they hit you another 10+ times during the cooldown for another potion use.

there is a ramp up, but ppl want to farm all boons same time, ToD is the easiest, then comes sharandar, then DR, then IWD and WoD, maybe WoD could be reduced a bit, though i imagine the difference comes from mobs being lvl 73 and the way dmg works vs mobs higher lvl than you, get life steal, with all the hype about how useless it is its still the best way to survive, its just not reliable and u need to stack it instead of getting to 1200~1500 and forgetting, if u can, get the WoD boon that gives 3/4/5% life steal
I'll give adding a life steal on my gf especially a shot. When it works its really effective now, but neither my TR or GF currently have a high enough chance rate for it to be effective at keeping them alive.
Im really happy that you finally decided to bump up difficulty was long overdue, everything starting from mod 2 was waaay to easy and posed no challenge
This is solo part of endgame content, it should be challenging to endgame players, like Biggrin its a pathetic excuse of a fight comparing to how hard it was to kill him in books by legendary characters. i dont have great gear, and its laughable. Prison in WoD is a bit better, though its mostly cause of the knockbacks from those 2 dragons. its nice that HE's finally need more than 1 person(though they can still be soloed) instead of 5man he being easy solo content
leave dr and sharandar for beginners and increase difficulty of IWD and WoD, the boons from there arent as important and it would give players a nice place to challenge themselves, and feel like having an impactful fight where every kill counts not mobs dying just from looking at them.

Consider going through Dreadring and Sharandar as a fresh lvl 60 with no boons and green/blue gear. Good luck. It's unfair to new generations of players and characters. The scaling up/down does not work correctly and I bet it never will. Someone at Cryptic got greedy (again) and wants to sell more sharandar/dreadring/and now icewind dale progression packs.
I might also mention that when content is so difficult that you NEED to group with people to complete what should otherwise be soloable content, for a lot of us players it makes playing the game seem like a chore, not a challenge. So it really takes away from the fun. ALSO, if the difficulty is going to be set so high, the REWARDS should be of equal value, which they are currently NOT.
Cryptic, did you forget Games are supposed to be FUN? They are TONS of other games out there which I have no problem going and playing INSTEAD of Neverwinter. Get a grip!

When do you have time to do damage, if you dodge so much. And shield in PvE for CW is really lame, it takes out one active encounter. I will not negate there are some freaks (yes, freaks) who can touch keys with precision at insane rate, but I'm playing a game, not competing for a gold medal in stenography Olympics.

and here is your mistake, IWD is NOT for fresh lvl 60, none of these zones are for fresh lvl 60, its lvl 70 content, boon maps are for lvl 70 with exception of ToD, the fact that you CAN enter them doesnt mean you should. if you have hammer and nails you can nail your man-sausage to a table, that doesnt mean you should

Well it was lame pre mod 6 when we used to say to a cw using Shield "go play another char". There are some circumstances when I do use the shield too, there's nothing lame about it.
As for this video about Biggrin's tomb and the gwf im just so surprised that LS still exists. I just watched it and green numbers are real...

I agree with this 100%. I hate the whining and complaining HOWEVER there is something that i do disagree with you about. The difficult is /fine/. I think a lot of solo content needs to be respeced for newer players (i went to DR once i hit 70 and trust me, i dodge the red and i use my cc (Being a Dungeon healing DC is kinda hard for solo content, especially when fights take upwards from 5 minutes because i need bastion and X healing spell with chains.) I still died.. A LOT. I went thru 30 kits by the time i was done. This being said though i have mixed feelings... I have learned since then (since then being the last few days) and i can do my dailies effectively now, dieing maybe 3-10 times. But still... Solo content shouldnt make you die that much. The melee attacks of most of the Thayans half health me, and the 2nd melee hit will either proc my gift or kill me. I have to spam shift or my movement keys just to live and being specced the way i am i am mostly a healer, my damage isnt great. The HP buff of the mobs is what kills me, the damage isnt what im angry about its the high amount of HP i have to burn thru just to end a fight. I spam my divine chains, i spam my empowered chains, and auto them, yet by the time i have a full rotation i BARELY hit the half way mark. I have to do more then 3-4 rotations of chains to actually kill the lower thayans. Dont even get me started on the iron giants or even the devils. DPS classes or tanky classes are easier to play in this mod, my 70 TR proved that to me to where i can solo my shar and DR dailies without dying more then twice. Healers are just gone in this mod. I have to litteraly team up just to get my dailies done in a manageable time limit. I only have roughly 4-5 hours before i need to sleep for my job. Pre mod 6 that was a manageable time limit, i could get even my IWD dailies done in that time. Now im lucky to end DR in that time. However my TR can do those dailies in the time limit, my DC cant. I know im repeating myself but this is just it, Healers are gone and its just way to difficult for em. I think the difficulty should be adjusted for solo content but stay the same for dungeons or group-active things. Solo dailies should be soloed by every class, not just a dps class or a tank class. I am happy where the dungeon difficulty sits right now, i have farmed VT 3 times in one 4 hour play-time and over my weekend when i have time to farm heavily we can easily do VT 5-6 times in one day. Teamwork is needed now in the dungeons i am happy with that, i need to manage my spells and healing factors as well as they need to manage their dps, positioning, and everything else.
In conclusion (basically summed up what i just said): Lower the difficulty on solo dailies, Keep the dungeon difficulty the same, and dont mess with it. It doesnt need to be harder, its fine where it sits. Sorry for the ranting, i just think this is what is needed to be done.

yeah its just the panic about how it changed, or from ppl with some 10% chance and 25k hp, i was really angry about that too, but then i did test it and its not as bad, but you do have to stack it, though if you dont get a proc for some time you die - but thats where healers come in
i didnt do fine, i said i didnt die in 2 hits, and it took some time for giants to kill me, i can play cw, but i cant PLAY cw, i havent used it since mod 2 except for some short tests
and if you dont want to spend time dont play an mmo, mmos are about spending time, if its not worth your time then dont do it, nobody forces you to do it
Since here same level difficulty for everyone you should adjust it by yourself. De-equip some items until game become fun for you. If you don't want, its mean you choose be overpowered and don't have rights for complain. Meanwhile you can't decrease difficulty so easy.
If you want challenge play SW and try do something in IWD
