Inspection now useless

I know that, compared to a number of issues that will crop up in this mod, this is relatively insignificant, but I think it bears pointing out.

Completely eliminating the ability to inspect someone unless you are in the same instance is just plain idiotic.

Say I'm trying to form a party, and someone PMs me requesting to join, so I want to verify that their gear is an appropriate level for the team.

Now, it appears they have to be in the same instance as me for me to check them out; which means I'll have to accept them into the team, and switch instances. Complete and utter waste of everyone's time.

Why would you do this!?

    Is it really different than how it was? You could previously see gear but not stats on someone in a different instance than you. The stats would all say 0. You can't even see items now? Or "inspect" doesn't come up on the menu at all?

    I'd also entertain myself by checking for bios on people talking in zone chat. Can't do that if you can't inspect.

    Except it doesn't.

    It just wastes everyone's time.

    Becky: It completely blacks out inspection. And yeah, you can't see bios or anything related to the character unless you share instance.

    I just liked it for seeing appearances and reading bios.
    Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

    So I also discovered that you can't inspect people in the opposite team in a dom match.

    In other words, we will have no way of gauging how balanced a pvp match actually is.

    While you're at it devs, why not disable inspection entirely. You clearly feel that gives us way too much information.
    And combat logs for the matter. There's too much information for us in there too. Blackbox the whole game!

    Don't think you could do that before Mod 6, at least not in IWD

    Yeah, you could inspect people on opposing teams before. Even in IWD. (from the Domination score list, at least.) I've done this countless times in matches to gauge my teams' chances of winning prior to starting.
    The only limitation was that you could not directly target someone and get the 'f' context menu to inspect them with.

    I saw someone in zone chat last night asking if people could check out his gear to give him pointers....

    Can some dev point out why you are doing this to us? I dont think there ist a explanation for this

    I've been trying to get a straight answer from devs if it's WAI or not, this is extremelllllllly bothering me. Like more than any other bug my toon has, like actual feats not working. Give me inspect back this is freaking stupid.
