Has anyone ever had any luck connecting to chat via an IM client.. XMPP? I've read so posts from a few months / years about on this.. but never anyone having any luck. The Status just says "not authorized" which may be in part to the maint stuff.. but just wondering if it's possible at all..

I use \40 with my email as I don't have a username.

    My understanding of it is, the only way you can make it work is if you are subbed to one Cryptic's other games. I don't believe that you can make it work if you only play Neverwinter.

    was figuring something along those lines.. along with the usernames accounts.. meh.. not a big loss.. would just be nice to have a separate monitor with who's online. but pressing "o" will just have to do ;p

    Indeed, it does require you to be a Gold member of either STO or CO in order to have access to the XMPP Chat Service.

    Heh, thanks! I'd been around, I just haven't been very vocal lately as my health is running me though some personal downtime. :|

    Sorry to Necro this but is there anyway to use it if you only play neverwinter?

    No. You must be an STO or CO gold member unfortunately.
