Anyone know which settings/setup I can configure ACTs which will lag me the least.
I want to be able to work on my characters and improve them, but ACTs lags me to hell. Anyone with suggestions how I can do this. I sometimes ask after a dungeon/skirmish/tia for someone to post but IDK why maybe no one is running it, but never get a response.
Thank you in advance and yes maybe I should just invest in a better PC or RAM but Id rather not.
PS cryptic, if you really are making things that much harder in mod6, you should put a built in meter to help us build our characters better, so we all dont fail and start pointing fingers at eachother or this community will collapse on itself.
EDit: Actually a better question. Can I create a combat log, then parse it after the fight through ACTs to see the same results as if it was live? is that possible
edit2: I think i found my own answer
http://advancedcombattracker.com/ but if anyone can confirm this or tips, sure would help
Real-time or Offline parsing
Primarily a real-time log parser, ACT can import entire log files or use its History Database to search and import specific encounters from older log files.
Old encounters can be imported by a log file, the clipboard or ACT's own export format(compressed XML).
Combat encounters imported or parsed in real-time are viewed in the same way; with the same tables/graphing options.
We can pretend.

This will write your combat log messages to a file, which then can be parsed offline. It's easily found by ACT.
Also, this webpage might come in handy and helpful...
Will maybe give it an attempt tonight or this weekend.

Switch off ACT during play. Run whatever you want to analyze. In game, "Change character" - "yes", and while in character select screen, Alt-Tab out of NW, launch ACT, and have it look through the log. Exit ACT. Enter game with character again, change whatever you want, and don't forget "/Combatlog 1". Rinse. Repeat.
That should make it impossible to cause lag...
...ummm, could it be that your HD is really full? Because that might cause lag while writing...
Here's our current stance on ACT (Advanced Combat Tracker):
We'll need to keep all "help" topics off the forums, in regard to use of ACT. Instead, use ACT's own site to seek help for its use, or through Private Messages.
Just to be clear; as long as ACT doesn't require Neverwinter to be running with it or in any way manipulate game files (other than the log files the game exports, while offline from Neverwinter), there should be no issue with ACT.
