Next Double RP Weekend?

Has anyone seen any hints or actual scheduling of the next double refining point weekend/event?

    Honestly, at this point they should just make double RP permanent. Would make a lot of people happy, but still would be an achievement to hit legendary for most players.

    Chances are the way to find out if something is coming is
    1) check the news on the front page
    2) check the in game calandar, preview is sometimes updated earlier than live.
    3) we don't currently have info ): <-- this one

    what would be awesome is to have one surprise "perfect 20" event before mod 6. Alot of people are burnt out on refining and it would be a nice way to reenergize the players for a new mod

    If there is ever one, it is most likely that it will be week before mod 6 release. This way weaker players can prepare for mod 6. This will also limit ability for some players to finish mod 6 content in a day.

    I could see a double XP or RP right before mod 6 .. after mod 6.. i doubt we will see anything too "giving" for a while as a large number of players will be leveling Paladins and spending happily to upgrade their new heal/buff bots.

    I'm hoping that the next double RP event, assuming there is one, will be after the launch of mod 6. It's not entirely clear how the current stuff we are refining will sit beside new equipment in mod 6 so it would be really annoying to refine something that is then superseded.

    Permanent is something stupid.. so make all the gems, stones and enchants give double.

    A double (triple) RP weekend instead is nice. My assumption is that is going to happen few weeks after Module 6 will hit. Before would make a lot of people angry.

    Even if double RP is permanent, its still not enough to be honest.

    Also, I really doubt there will be an RP weekend soon after mod 6 release.

    before that should transform all past sources of PR and link accounts ( bound to account ) because a lot of people still RP stocks and that's not fair! and honestly do not know why not done that and then want to end the goldspammers lol is not what it seems ...

    They should also bind existing weapon, armour and normal enchants too. Give a more limited thing of bots to farm. But really, I bought my rp stacks on the condition they were unbound and so that shouldn't be changed. Of course it wouldn't really matter since it's in a guild bank on an alt account so I could use them anyway. I mean sure it was botted supply, had they made the change regardless, I would have bought them for a higher price from non botters. It's not my responsibility to sort out the bots from the ah, I'm just interested in the best deal.

    BoP really is a disgusting thing that really should not be encouraged. Personally I'm enjoying a game with no bind status for the most part. It's good to not be restricted for the stuff you actually earn. I mean thats almost like saying I buy a DVD and can't sell it on because reasons.

    some ways to avoid excessive farm:

    1. increase the amount or value of necessary ingredients
    2. banning by IP who excessively abused farm ( sharandar for example)
    3. limit the amount of daily or take the nodes it or not allow re-entry for X time
    4. modify the system nodes
    5. implement a system for third party software
    6. but BOP RPs in the past because it is bizarre to see people with legendary arti -equip and at the same time see that AD has not enough to put the artifacts on legendary because of RPs and of course the price of the ingredients involved !

    mind you I also do not agree with BOP at all but in a situation so put at risk the market and the economy might be a satisfactory solution at least for a time .

    If companies still did this in this day and age, many innocent users would risk being banned as well. You'd have to be very hard pressed, and wealthy, to have and afford a truly static IP address. Even the "static" IPs from companies like Comcast are regularly recycled. Merely rebooting your modem can give you a new static IP address, returning your old one to be given out to another user. While yes, it is an immediate stop gap but not something that will work for very long, as it is so easy to get a new IP Address, even for folks with "static" IP Addresses.

    Not to mention if you know how, and since it's the botters business they know how, you can spoof an ip address in about 30 secs.

    The only true static address is the MAC address. And to be honest those can be spoofed or cloned also. What might really help would to be to go after the web site owners. They must register the domain name and any IP address they ever use will always translate to their domain name through a dns server. The only other recourse would be to ban the botters and wipe their accounts on a regular basis so they have no warez to sell.

    One method I see them botting these days is the gateway. (I did a google search and the stuff they have is amazing) The professions and auction should NOT be there for them to use at all ever.
