Lockbox Content Announcements on My Screen and Admin Channel

Hey guys,

I'm really curious why the items people get from lockboxes are being announced on my screen and admin channel? Never understood the logic of this... It is very annoying. I mean why do I have to see the item some random guy got from a lockbox on my screen? It's none of my business what he got. I see thousands of item announcements ever freakin day. Is it to advertise and make people buy keys from Zen Store? Cause it is very annoying. Come on nobody questioned this before?

    People have been complaining about this since before the beginning.
    It's a terrible idea, everyone hates it, but they do it to "show" new players how "lucky" they can get with their Lockboxes by giving them a "ludicrously unrealistic" expectation of the drop rates for very, very, rare items.

    Why do slot machines make noise when someone wins. Same reason for the announcements.

    Well at least they don't slap slot machines to my face. But this? Appearing on my screen what the hell? It's understandable to announce it on admin channel but it is annoying to announce it on every individuals screen.

    I won a rust monster one time and was so mortified to have my name announced that I deleted the character.

    Its scummy, its deceiving, its deception as an advertisement being ingrained in an MMO but I honestly wouldn't mind it if they fixed refining and how BIS gear isn't dropping in challenging dungeons.
