I think it would be awsome to have looters in this game. The question is, "What is a looter ?". A Looter is a decrative pet that does not fight at all. It runs around and picks up all your gold and items that drop. I myself right now have my own looters Lol... I run dungeons and let you guys pick up the HAMSTER for me HEHEHEHEHEHE. But wouldnt it be nice to have these in game. These looters often run along side of your horse when your mounted and for the most part there range quals there value. I just bought a looter in a different game for 20 bucks, A dragon looter HEHE, It is freaking awsome. You may ask " What is the purpose of a looter" well... This is simple. A looter helps pick up the ground of items. They also help prevent laag. with less items laying on the ground, you have better working computers. Another thing they help with is focusing while farming. We can then farm and watch for monsters then to be looking at the ground like some scavenger. As Neverwinter had changed in the past 12+ years, As it started from Roleplay D&D on pin and paper and now its some mid rated PVP mmo. I still think that looters will help us PVE (Player vrs Environment) Players alot !!

Gets proposed at least once a month. Some people like the idea; others say "eff off with your yet another way of badgering me with unwanted loot rolls".
yes, you can adjusted with the party options... They can put in party for you to avoid loot rolls... just another adjustment that can be fixed getting a loot pet or not.
I'd rather have the loot system fixed to be less a headache and a cause for player angst. Then to have a bandaided solution that takes up valuable active and inactive pet slots. And will most likely cost a fortune in Zen. And still be unwelcome in groups.

The loot options have been broken since Well of Dragons came out. I would like to see that fixed instead
I show player support, by only playing Neverwinter as F2P
This pet would have its own square and wouldnt effect the active or unactive slots.. Sorta like the mount slot... It is not a fix to a issue. But an additive for the people like me who love farming... Please keep that in mind.
Well, Untill we get these Looters, I think we will continue to ask for them ... Me myself, i am getting tired being left behind in a dungeon because everyone is running through it and leaving me behind while i pick up the loot. Im also not patient in some dungoens when watching the newbies pick up the trash we leave behind. Looters can only help. its a choice not ot have them. Lets make a choice to have them. And it makes another pet for us to carry with us. Even if it doesnt fight, i love pets !! Got over 30 of them on my main... hehe...
Well, actually, a looter doesn't always mean a pet.
Looters can be simple mobs that are picking up your loot preventing you from getting it/part of it.
For example, the Royal Quest game has lots of looter mobs (usually they are initially non-hostile to the player - until the player attacks them - they can also be social meaning that attacking 1 of them enrages all others that are close). They are both fun and annoying at the same time when farming because their best life's ambition is to devour your gold and other staff (the gold and droppable quest loot instantly disappear while items can be recovered upon killing the little thief(s)).

Bro, your off topic..... Dont confuse the devs or others please... What we are talking about are another form of a pet that we can have with us that runs around and picks up the random stuff that drops. items, copper, event drops.... Though your post made me smile. I remember seeing the Rust Monster in this game and thought "i need one of them" because in the original neverwinter and dnd the rust monster would break armors. And to find out its stupid active skill. I was like oh gawd, But still cool that i have one.. hehe... But back to the looters... They are justifyable and very needed.
I like this idea, but I would not be willing to unsummon my Ioun stone to have one out. Make it so we can have both out and I'd be much happier.

Better if loot was just automagically sent straight to your inventory when it drops, with everyone getting their own instance of loot regardless of what other people get. No more loot rolls cluttering the screen. No more running around to see if something is worth picking up. No more being upset because someone rolled higher and got something you really wanted. Add in a loot priority menu in the options so that if your inventory is full, the lowest value version of the lowest priority item gets auto-discarded if you pick up something better (with manual locks to keep any items you want to make sure are never dropped).
For a supposed "action-mmo" there's a lot of cubicle work going on in this game, much of it being the cross-mmo minigame of "Inventory Management Online." Mix that with the artifact refining, and this really starts feeling less like a game and more like a job.
Looks like Looters win !!! To bad gms dont look at these polls ...

Here's what I'd like to see:
A pack mule companion - it doesn't attack, but it gives you more storage space. It can also pick up items, and you can send it off to sell said items.

The loot options have been broken since beta -- and this auto/looter idea has been proposed every couple months since then as well.
