FEEDBACK: 80 max power points means a lot of wasted time. I currently have 15 bonus power points so I stopped recieving Power points at 65.

FEEDBACK: So far I've only just started Drowned Shore. All I've gotten through is the Silver Drip Mine; but so far, the area looks decent but not very drowned. I like the general look of the mine; would like to see more water. Maybe some waterfalls, and more pools of water. The instanced nature of the caves was really boring for me though. It didn't feel like I had accomplished anything. Enter the mine, exit the mine. I killed some stuff on my way, but what was the point? Not even a miniboss. PLEASE give some more involved content in this mod. Give us a little mystery to figure out, maybe, and don't just give us an item that says "clue" (like in the Hexbane quest from the first time we came to Blackdagger) and act like that counts. A clue is only a clue if we can use it to solve puzzle or a mystery. If there is nothing for us to figure out, then it's just an objective, not a clue. I really hope to see more that just kill and collect quests.

I want to know if the sea trolls are the real planned enemies in this zone, or just stand ins. I know that the costumes are temporary, but is the NATURE of the encounters in the Drowned Shore zone essentially correct?

Considering one of the quests I had was to kill scrags (which are sea trolls), I think we can safely assume so.

    Feedback:

I stopped caring. It's Blackdagger Ruins backwards with crabs. CRABS. I'm sorry. Crabs. I helped banish freaking Tiamat back to the Nine Hells, and now freaking crabs are supposed to be a credible threat?

The shared mines are awful because it means anything that involves killing a particular thing is a ninjafest of waiting for things to respawn.

The area is annoying to traverse, no change from the original version.

The whole thing is just tedious. I got about halfway through L61 and realized that between the utter boringness of the new zone and the goalpost moving of needing to redo your gear all over again, I can't care anymore. Gulping potions like I'm level eight because the new Life Steal is worthless on a single-target character like my TR. I just don't care. I am bored already.

I actually enjoyed the area. Even the crabs :D I do agree it needs more water though. I believe it was supposed to have been hit with a tidal wave? Not sure in the story how long it's been since the disaster ..

Anyway it's hard to judge a book when the cover is borrowed (ie all the borrowed costumes). I'm looking forward to seeing the real thing- and I sympathize with the Art Dept. They've got their hands FULL.

    Feedback - thoughts on setting
I actually don't mind the reuse of areas in this case, since they're supposed to be offset in time from when we were there before. It's an attempt at creating a dynamic world in which our characters' actions *did* make a difference, even if another threat moves right in.

Now that I've seen the tidal wave story, the smashed lighthouses finally make sense, which they did not with the prior teaser story that didn't get that far. I don't think the area needs to be much more wet. The waters would likely have receded quickly, after the damage was done.

Edit: I have said before that I sort of enjoy the crabs, because they remind me of my past love of Titan Quest, in which the first enemies encountered in the expansion are crabs, after you've taken down the final boss from the original game, the Titan, Typhon.

    Level 60-63 Drowned Shore:
    RP and Elemental Drop Results

Following the yellow diamond quest line through the terminal sea cave lair and boss (under waterfall) and ending at early level 63 in XP, I had accumulated
    :

    1 Elemental Aggregate
1 Mark of Potency (from sealed vessel)
    49 Rank 5 Enchants (26,500 base RP)
    6 Lesser Union Stones (???)
    50 Elemental Water
    1 Elemental Fire (???)
    1 Elemental Air (???)

Good zone, I liked it. An entirely new map/new art material would have been nice but I assume if they GD/Devs have their plates more than full already - if they could have, they would have.

Nice progression by mix of yellow quests and repeatable blue hourlies. Plenty of opportunity for filling that large XP bar.

We are all happy to see unbound Rank 5 and refining stone drops in open-world.
There was a lack of RP usable for artifact equipment
Lesser Union stones... These are also for artifacts (not worth much for art equipment).
No Lesser Stability or Lesser Power stones drop from drowned shore??

For some reason SW dreadtheft cannot be ranked to level 4.

The tooltip for the four ranks of SW All-consuming curse says +33% (1) +33% (2) +34% (3) and +33% (4)... so +133% chance to apply lesser curse?

I'm thinking this might be intentional, and that as each area will have an element, they'll also drop a specific type of stone (which would require including resonance stones to make 4).

FEEDBACK: Crabs I don't actually have a problem with, though I can see why some would. What bothers me is that it seems mostly to be Trolls and Lizardfolk, both of which we've seen before. In a zone that is mostly a recycled map, to have both of the most numerous enemies be ones we have ALSO already seen before makes the whole thing seem lazy. Making the trolls into "Sea Trolls" doesn't make them more interesting. There wasn't much difference between Trolls and Frost Trolls, so Sea Trolls don't strike me as something that will be noticeably different. I have been waiting for an aquatic map for a long time, hoping for Sahuagin, Locathah, or Kuo-Toa, and you guys go and waste the zone on more of the same. It's lazy, and to be honest, I'm not all that interested at this point.

So far I haven't seen that the Sea Hags will be doing anything interesting either, though I'm interested to see how they are handled, because they COULD turn out looking really cool. At least Reclamation Rock is getting Slaadi.

Would be fun if the dev would create a RnD system to randomize a mob's look. (like how we customise our char, but less detailed), that way we could be seeing a whole map of trolls but most with unique look, that's gonna make the game a lot more LIVELY! though it probably require a bit of work but it will be nothing too technical :)

FEEDBACK: Well, I liked the "Rescue the Ranger" heroic encounter. However, so far everything else has been a snooze. Like every zone ever, we have to do our same old chores of "kill these, fetch this, break that." No interesting baddies to fight, just more of the same slog.

    Bug: Drowned Shore

I just re-imported my HR and there is no quest that leads to the Drowned Shore after tonight's patch (2/13). There is no travel point on my map either. I spoke with Sgt. Knox and he only had the quest to Ebon Downs and Reclamation Rock.

Edit: Nevermind. Player error. There was a change in the quest line that leads to the Drowned Shore. However the patch notes do not explain this change very well.

You need to talk to the Grand Druid at the tree and do the Minsc Quests to unlock it

Edit: Working on the quest line now.. looks like it leads to the unlocking of the Drowned Shore. The change wasn't quite conveyed the best in the patch notes.

    Bug: Cultist Ambush

The Cultist Ambush HE on the road near the 2nd quest hub (where Xalliana is located), the 2nd set of ambushers do not load. Hence the HE can not be successfully completed besides it timing out.

    BUG: Hard to Reach Places

It is possible to advance without collecting the Fire seed. If you do so and defeat the last encounter too, it is impossible to finish the quest. You can go back and pick up the fire seed, but the air seed will not spawn.

    BUG: Gutting Fish

The quest has no cooldown, which makes it very easy to bot, since the only requirement is to kill 100 mobs.

Is Reclamation Rock available for preview? I haven't seen a thread about it yet. Do you need to finish Drowned Shore to test it?

    FEEDBACK: Quests
I like the Zhentarim Agent in that he is the most honest voice-of-the-game quest giver I can think of encountering thus far. "Just kill 'em all!" This game is really all just about killing lots and lots of things. We just put the veneer of a reason behind it.

However, I don't see why the Goldseeker mines don't let me fill up all those hourly kill quests. I killed a group of Sea Hags and a group of Sea Trolls in there before the Server disconnected me, but no change in the number of kills on the counter. Honestly, with 3 or 4 or however many mines, this is getting really repetitive and boring even BEFORE I repeat any hourly quests. This content design is terrible, to be honest. Go kill some things. But it only counts if you are killing those things in point A. Killing those same enemies in point B doesn't count. This needs to be streamlined so that you can actually fulfill the requirements of these quests as they are fulfilled, instead of making some of them arbitrarily "not count."

YES. Can I drag a few thousand "like" buttons from FB over here?

BUG: Vigilance Tasks in Drowned Shore
Not a single vigilance quest is registering for my character. I can safely say I've done more than 15 by now, but you'd never know it. As such, I also cannot progress to Xalliana or to Guard Harris behind the Broken Crown Inn. The person I play with on a regular basis is having the same issue. These are getting tedious, especially when, as noted above, various things do not count in various places.

"Shock Troops": The Lizardfolk in the mine are marked as Blackscale and Greenscale and will not count as Lizardfolk for the purpose of this task. My partner and I have abandoned it multiple times now.

Not Technically in the Drowned Shore itself, but I don't know where they want us to put bug reports on the Minsc Quests.

    Bug: No Crevice Untouched
Upon Completing the quest and leaving the cave, I spawned in the Ebon Downs INSIDE the brick wall, so there was no way to get out. /unstuck and /killme did not function. I had to go through the GM help and find the "defeat me" button to get out.

Bug: Hard to Reach Places (Intro Quest)

Wasn't sure where to report this, but since the intro quest leads to this zone.. apparently it is possible to go into the instance "Isle of wind and flames" and complete the instance (but not get credit) before talking to the NPC about the "monks". I then had to go back to speak with the NPC and re-do the instance.

This happened to me too. The instance should either not be available until you've spoken with the NPC, or else speaking to the NPC should be optional.

Hopefully the amount of quests that I was able to run before the shard was stopped are not indicative of the number of daily quests .
I was questing for well over 90 mins and was likely still not done ( Major overkill on quests if it is ).

Also with the HE's ( they are apparently hourly ) are they tied into a campaign progression as it looks like you need to complete all 5 .
Some of these last well less than a minute and if there are not multiple spawning points for these then it is gonna kill those that play with multiple characters due to the time constraint that it will cause ( if we have to wait another hour for that HE to spawn ) .

So far in my opinion the people who play multiple characters aren't gonna like this mod .

Thes new areas are just clusters of random encounters that renew every hour. After 2 to 3 hours it is very numbing. I was expecting actual story lines like Black Lake thru Whispering Cavern, not simple randomnes that is easy to program. Very disappointed!

The outfits the Sea Elves wear that are behind the Broken Crown Inn are nice. I believe many would wear those outfits as Fashions if they ever become available!!! ;)
