    SW.

Plenty of damage and survuvability early on.
And, mobility. Shadow walk class feat is early in the tree.
Move around fast and kill stuff easily.

keep in mind solo leveling ends at lvl60

At 60 you're forced into grouping to do anything? It's my understanding that grouping is pretty much just an ADHD DPS zerg fest where the end result is blaming DCs and others for the run's failure. Is there more to it? Or is the journey to 60 the game, then?

He's exaggerating quite a bit in so few of words. Solo daily quests unlock at 60 in Sharandar, Dread Ring, and Well of Dragons. All of them have boons and collections to work for. They even have lairs which are solo-friendly small dungeon runs that take about 10-15 minutes to complete and can be repeated for the collection/companion loot some have, as long as you can afford the extra keys, or you can just do them once a day with the free keys.

Additionally, at level 60, Icewind Dale unlocks when you get to the required gearscore (which GS is being replaced in Mod6, so we don't know how GS tiered content will be accessed yet). IWD hosts its own slew of solo dailies, and more unlock as you continue advancing in the campaign, just as in Sharandar and Dread Ring.

Then there's the events that happen, like the Call to Arms skirmishes, which can be entered solo (you'll be puged with 4 others) or form a pre-made. Then there's the seasonal events, which all sport solo content as well. Professions, gear and transmutable collections, companions gallore to collect, and so on.

In short, there is so much to do. I have had many characters at level 60 for over a year and I don't PvP hardly at all, yet I still have something to do on any of my characters any day I play. Of course, I don't sit and play for 8-12 hours a day anymore due to my health, more like a week, if that. Still, even though there is a good deal of group content at 60, take the comment you quoted with a grain of salt.

However, if one is a PvPer and you don't like PvE, then yes - content can become drab at 60 for hardcore PvPers for this is not a PvP focused game.

    Yes, we do know.
    User Interface
    - Average Item Level displayed on your character sheet in place of Gearscore will be used to gate character’s from entering some Dungeons and Zones in the same way that Gearscore did. We are still in the process of finalizing exactly what will go into this number and it will be a sum of the item levels of your equipment, enchantments and artifacts.

    - Gearscore has been replaced with "Average Item Level".

From the official Patch Notes for Module 6 on the preview server: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?831641-Elemental-Evil-Preview-Patch-Notes-NW-45-20150122b-1
Really, it just sounds like a name change for the most part. They've probably made previous GS of like 15,000-16,000 for entry and "Average Item Level" of (completely randomly guessing here, I'm not on the Preview Server) like 20 or something.

So basically, still tiered, just converted to simpler numbers.
Again, pure guess on the numbers themselves, but it probably works something similar to this:
    GS 10,001-10,500 = AIL 17
    GS 10,501-11,000 = AIL 18
    GS 11,001-11,500 = AIL 19
    etc.....

Ah yeah, I didn't mean that in a literal sense, only that we don't know how it will be on Live. Cheers!
