New Channels

I did appreciate the comments thought. Ok, so the legendary mount was too much. Although a huge gang of people riding around PE on disc's would look cool.

So would there be interest in a Gear Score (or some other value based requirement) related channel? I liked the channel based on the number of Artifacts because gear score isn't super relevant (go to other threads for that discussion).

Anyways is there any interest in elite level channel?

Set up whatever you want, but if it is this kind of elitist nonsense then you can expect to be derided for it

It's actually more interesting to play with new players that want to learn and know how to communicate, than with other elite players, except for PVP. For PVP, I have joined an elite PVP guild.

There is no content in the game that requires an elite team. Even Tiamat can be won by a modest team that follows proper strategy. Elite players are only important in that battle because the teams are completely random and at least 23 of the 25 players don't even watch what is being said in chat.

Will all the people on discs fly in formation? If so, I am super-interested in this awesome idea.

Well summed up. The person behind the toon is more important to me than what the toon is geared like. If they have got lousy gear then a good guild should help them gear up. That the person isn't a idiot, that they get on well with the other guildies, that they are a team player and not a beaker (mememememe!)..... that is what makes teaming up with guildmates enjoyable.

I actually like the idea of a general purpose channel of intense players. I found that I kept the high gear score tiamat channels up even when I wasn't playing because I had a lot in common with the other people on the channel. And that is one of the things many people are trying to find in MMOs--people they can relate to. But those channels were of course focused on Tiamat which a lot of folks are done with (I am happy be done with it and am never going back to WoD). I used to participate a lot in the Legit channel, but the conversations don't resonate with me anymore. Anyway, I know that Relkin was sort of kidding (especially about the mount), but since the artifacts and artifact equipment are so hard to refine (and require so much grinding), it is a probably good criteria. GS is probably bad, because I am always messing around with different things and sometimes my gearscore drops below 22k--it would stink to get kicked out because I am playing around with maxing out HP that day.

Anyway, there's high gs channels already, some of them die easy I think. Whatever channel you make or join is up to you.

Though yeah the legendary mount was kind of much when people may not think it's worth the cost. I bought and resold and emperor beetle for example. Kind of want a disk myself, but I have to decide whether I really want to spend ~12m on one.

There should be tougher content, it's getting more and more boring. There's only so many dailies they can throw at you until you can say that's enough. Especially when they're not that great in the first place.

The disk is pretty sweet, I just got one myself.

As for a high level gs channel, I wanted to try something new. Also someone else pointed out that this is a 1%er problem. 1% of the neverwinter crowd is too many. I'm looking for ~50 people who want to interact with other people who have put in the time (or money) to have 7 legendary artifacts. If this doesn't interest you, ok.

I figured the forum was the best way to gauge some interest.

But did you research the source of those lesser stacks from the AH? I always make sure to buy fair trade and conflict free LR stones.

Seriously though, this went a little sideways on the topics--it isn't about the content or the source of RP. If this thread stays alive it will be interesting to see if people are interested in the actual concept--of course the best way to find out will be do it, instead of talking about doing it. As a side note, I am ready with my Tenser's Disc--I literally (well virtually I guess) made/sold hundreds of gemmed exquisite cloths since the start of the game and I blew a lot of that on getting it the disc--totally worth it--it makes me feel like I won the game. I guess I went really off topic there, but the disc is awesome--everyone should get one--oh wait, I guess that wouldn't be elite anymore. Maybe they can be gifts during next year's winter festival (they gave away tons of other stuff that I grinded for). I really need to learn how to stay on topic.

Total death sentence moving this to the Moonstone Mask. Alas my super elite channel may never be.

Taco guy, lets meet in PE and show off our disc's.

Sorry, as a topic, this is where we've moved community threads on Custom Channels for two years. You'll have better vision here anyway, as it's not as likely to get shoved to the back pages as quickly and being in the same place where other Chat Channel threads are located for ease of player searching.

    Safe travels,

Whilst we proposing new channels how about one called, "not4nubs" which is for players of any gs so long as they prove to the players already within the channel that they are able to perform with a high degree of skill. This way you get a group of players of all gs who can actually play the game properly...rather then just a group of say 50 25k gs people who don't know the difference between up and down. I know more excellent players with 12k gs who are frustrated because of the inability to get into dungeons with random groups because 12k gs is, "not enough" then I know good players with 25k+ gs, which is a sad fact, but true.

I will only hang out with you if we do it in the VIP room. That is where I spend all my time (it is super elite). There is never anyone there, but I like to pretend to RP with NPCs

Taco guy, I rescind my offer to show off our disc's together. The VIP room is too exclusive for my taste. I'll bet you bought a dragonborn pack with real money too.

You got me Relkin. I just had to have the ceremonial garb as soon as possible and I didn't know they were going to sell it for Zen later.

You are confusing elite with exclusive. Legendary mounts are exclusive, not elite.

Actually, you nailed it. This is an exclusive channel. He should stop calling it elite and call it exclusive.
