Suggestion: Free AD for Devoted Clerics in Tiamat

I think everyone here is aware of some of the more ridiculous demands being made of DCs lately, especially with lag in Tiamat being blamed on them all the time. It seems like in order to make everyone else happy, we're expected to respec our characters now. Now, I know what you're thinking here: It's only 78k AD to respec. I should be able to make that in a couple seconds of sitting on the toilet while my leadership army farms AD for me. Well, yeah, sure. Heck, if I'm extra careful about wiping, I should even be able to afford a second respec to get my character back to normal after Tiamat. But it's the principle of the thing.

In light of these recent developments, I'd like to suggest that upon entering ToT, all DCs be granted 180k astral diamonds. Devoted Clerics who are healin- sorry, griefing spec'd, can then respec their characters before the Tiamat fight and no one will complain about old bugs that are not even a thing anymore ruining the game for them while ignoring every other thing that causes lag in this game. The DCs will be able to spend the remaining AD to buy a second respec after finishing the instance so we can go back to playing the game as it was intended for us to play afterwards. The remaining few thousand AD is barely a drop in the bucket so who cares about that?

    Yet another griefer trying to get ad for the ransom of the server. You are no better than lizard squad.

    It is impossible, by the time you hit 60, to *not* have many many powers at your disposal. If certain powers are causing issues in Tiamat, then simply switch to a different load-out. Now, if you are referring to certain boons causing the issue - then those simply need to be addressed by the devs ASAP.

    Or just not use astral seal...

    Not sure why you request AD instead of just retraining tokens (which you can also get from parcel, though don't blame you for not wanting to use one solely for tiamat. Anyway if they have time to do that, they have time to sort the issue out properly.

    Suggestion: use some other skills. That's what most people would do instead of whining.

    Hey, I didn't want to be greedy. 80k AD is a lot less than 300 zen and you can respec feats and boons with just that.

    Would if I could, but the problem stems from feats and boons that I can't just choose not to slot for this fight. I have to spend a tiny piddly insignificant amount of AD to do that. Yeah, it's small, I mean come on, who isn't making 80kAD hundreds of times a day? But still, it's the principal of the thing.

    Sure but the majority of DCs would use it for something else and you injected a whole lot of ad into the game. Secondly them fixing the issue directly still applies. I mean the ones contribute to keep the game going deserve a relatively bug free experience, yet it's not really delivered.

    Doesn't look like he's threatening anybody to me...

    Obviously they won't be handing out respecs (or free diamonds lol, as if), they need to just change what procs burning guidance or change it's effect entirely...

    Only a few people care enough to respec for a single fight. The rest will just take the free AD. Anyone who doesn't have a DC toon, will now roll one for the sole purpose of collecting the free AD. Then there will be a bunch of 10GS DC running rampant in ToT

    That's because you didn't see the last thread where the bug was spelled out exactly how it works with masses of people and burning guidance, and he said he would keep going in and lagging them unless someone paid him to respecc. That's why I consider him no different than lizard squad or any other hacker that does a ddos as an act of cyber-terrorism.

    So... griefers using same tactics as gold selling spammers, annoy you till they get what they want?

    How naive can one person be to think someone will pay him 180k AD every hour. It's just one stupid bloke wasting 20 minutes of every hour of his available time.

    I can lose 20 mins failing a Tiamat IF I ever run into a griefer, truth be told I'll likely already have left within the 1st 10 minutes.

    Anyone who thinks they can ransom free AD from Tiamat is not doing his math correctly or very bright.

    I honestly can't tell if you're being serious here and have the worst sarcasm detector I have ever seen. Mind boggling if so.

    Oh - and in the thread that got closed all we had was one person's opinion (yours) of how this bug works. No actual evidence, no corroboration from other sources.

    What would be nice is confirmation from a Dev that BG is a source of the lag, that a fix is planned and will be corrected soon. Alas this sort of communication is becoming less frequent of late :(

    funny how you guys are acting all serious with this 180k AD. The matter is clearly ironic.

    Nobody would want to reallocate all those feat points twice an hour - too much work. So dont rack your brains about if this "suggestion" is actually good or bad.

    As somebody who runs with a DC every single day for hours on end, I can safely say BG is not causing this lag. Pre-fix, said DC (my wife) would lag me into immobility. Since the fix they made, I have had no lag on any level. And I mean on any level. I run Tiamat on full graphics, everything maxed, and not once have I been lagged being around her. She has BG, and actively uses Astral Seal, for reference.

    The issue is not BG, as much as people with no proof like to claim it is. It's the massive level of particle effects causing problems. 25 people using graphic heavy powers at once is gonna lag anyone not using a top of the line computer with great internet (most of the people on this game). Stop blaming DCs for something they're not causing. Plain and simple.

    And no, I'm not playing a DC, so for those trying to claim DCs are immune to it, it's not the case. I'm a Scourge Warlock and still have no issues.

    Well, I have to say that being able to earn 180K AD per hour might be about the only thing capable of persuading me to dust off my Lvl 60 DC and play it! I've tried all the classes and DC is easily my least favourite.

    So how come this ridiculous thread is not yet closed?

    Pffft. Tiamat lag is not a DC problem (that bug has mostly been fixed, it's a lot of other problems).

    The OP idea is silly. I, for one, absofreakinlutely refuse to respec my DC and I'll keep using the encounter and at-will powers I choose with the feats I choose. If you (wrongly) think my play style and choices are causing you a problem then learn to deal with it or leave my presence.

    And for the record, though I'm *sometimes* - maybe 20% of the time) seeing lag, it's nowhere near as bad as some are making it sound (my own experience obviously) - but I also have a pretty beefy PC and I'm in Seattle (low ping to server), which leads me to ask: have you considered the equipment you're playing on?

    The primary issue is all the bling on your screen.

    I love when ppl with no idea open they mouths...First of all its rubberbanding lagg, nothing affected by graphic cart this rubberbanding is caused by server dying while trying to calculate all those healing ON 25-MAN RAID, u can use it freely with 5-man party, server will stand this, so it cauesd no problem with tactics tiamat runs, all started with zerg, then this freaking feat started to HEAL 25-MAN RAID.

    In simply words, for not so clever ppl, server FAILS to calculate all this heal in time, and its affecting evrything, also head timer and player movments, so we see ppl standing still for 3 sec (toons r breathing nromaly, so its not fps lag) -> atk -> and go ide again for next 3s, thats why somtimes we can bring red head down like 20 sec after timer is over (stops at 0, but phase is not over)

    Got it? DID U GOT IT?

    How to fix it?

    Put dat **** Astral Seal off!

    How we know its acctualy faithfull dc's faoul? Coz we had already some clever enought to lisen us, and they put AS down, somtiems in mid of head fight, lagg is always dissapering, IF SOMTHING HAPPEND 30 TIMES, ITS NOT A FLUKE!

    There appear to be a number of things that can cause lag in Tiamat. This doesn't actually appear to be one of them. I get that people are trying to claim that it is, but there doesn't appear to be any actual, functional, and practical evidence of it so far - particularly since it seems to be so intermittent. This morning's first run with my GF had multiple clerics spamming AS and no lag, the second one had unplayable lag and no clerics using AS.

    We have full variety of laggs in tiamat, true bouquet, both gear ones and and connection/server ones. Its rly hard to jugde what is causing what. BUt even if some ppl refuse to belive in causes of laggs some (me too) r stating here, maybe for sake of probablity and for sake of raid, u will put those freaking skills out.

    And once again i never said AS alone is causing problem, but puting down AS is the easyest solution to avoid it.

    The game was not ready for a 25 man raid. I think this is obvious. No raid system, no group entry, multiple bugs. When devs are running a livestream of the event and are having problems with FPS.....obvious issue is obvious.

    If I see someone complaining about DC skills making lag I make sure to use them even more often. If they don't like the "lag" they can go buy a better computer and get better internet connection.

    Also as a DC, I think that this is a funny suggestion.
