So I just wanted to know if anyone else thinks it would be a good idea to have 6 or at least 5 slots on the quickbar for encounter skills.
Personally I think it would make the game much more fun and strategic, like in any other mmo, you have the ability to use the right mixture of skills that suits you in general or in various different situations (pve, pvp, aoe dmg, single target dmg...)
There are so much skills, yet you can actively use only 3.
I tried to search for a similar topic, wasn't really searching too much though, so if this post is a duplicate, pardon me.
It gets brought up at least once a month. Personally I think it's a bad idea. First you'd always have people asking for just a few more slots until they could have their entire spell list slotted. The number is arbitrary but once they've drawn it and they have they should stick to it. Second of all DnD has always had a "tough choices" component to it. You may have a spellbook with all kinds of spells but could only memorize so many per day, etc etc. Limiting your slots compared to what you know is how Neverwinter does this. You now have to tailor your layout to the fight. Some layout quick switching while out of combat ui would be nice, but more slots would be a massive mistake.

Choosing what to slot with limited options is extremely strategic, far more so than having everything hotkeyed.
I would very much appreciate a fast-change option from AoE to single-target, or DPS to buff/heal/tank, or solo to party, etc. just for utility, but I think being limited in immediate power access is a good thing.
one of the few good things left about neverwinter is that you dont have to dislocate your fingers to press 66234 keybinds, if you want to do that go play wow, or learn piano
about different skill loadouts- its been asked since beta

Welcome to the most often requested feature that I have seen at least three times in about the last week.
It has been requested virtually non-stop since BETA.
One of the biggest issues with more slots is this game is designed to be as console convenient as possible and game controllers don't have that many buttons. So it is extremely (I'd say completely) improbable that they would add more slots.
A load-out switch when not in combat has a slightly better chance of being implemented (...and it has been requested since beta almost in lockstep with this request).

The limited options is the very reason I choose Neverwinter. That being said, the template switch is more than welcomed
This game is easy enough as it is, adding more encounter slots would only serve to make it even more of a faceroll... And of course balancing in pvp would be even more of a nightmare, than it already is...
I am all for a ability to switch encounters loadout when out of combat though.

Yes - a way to setup various skill bar presets would be awesome! Just make it so you can either only change out of combat, or have it where changing skill bars puts all the slotted powers on cooldown.

So - don't hold your breath.
