Heroic Encounter drops

I got a Devilish Warlock's Pact Blade as a Drop in the Well of Dragon's. It says it is bound to character. If somebody could answer this question. Why are some drops bound to character? I thought all Drops could be sold at the AH. Thanks.

Because T1 and T2 SW weapons and off-hands are currently BoP. This does not only apply to Well of Dragons drops, as you will see there are *none* on the AH at all.

As far as I know, these are the only items affected. Any other class and all SW armor pieces are BoE. Probably a bug, but not a priority fix.

Not all drops are bind on equip. The HEs are, as far as I can remember, always bind on pickup. I believe that the idea is you have to salvage them or feed them into your artifact main or others.

Interesting. I have gotten 5 to 6 epic drops in Well of the dragon. Each one was BOE. So, I could sell them all at the AH. They only were worth like 5000 AD each. This one the first I could not. Probably because it is a tier 2 item and would be worth a lot of AD. Figures. Would not want to make some serious AD. lol Thanks for the replies

Utter nonsense. The reason T1 set gear is now selling for under salvage value is because of people endlessly farming those heroics. The only exception is the SW weapons, which you cannot get BoE from a dungeon boss drop either.

T2 gear is starting to undergo the same deflation because random T2 set pieces are in Tiamat's loot table, and with the same exception of SW weaponry, these are BoE just like dungeon boss drops.

While certain T2 gear used to still be worth some AD, the sell value on even the BiS sets is dropping rapidly.
