Same here - tried to assemble 15 people in three parties, wound up in 12 different instances. How fun. Kind of defeats the purpose of planning a raid...
We had the same thing happen, it split our group so we exited and tried to re-enter, no joy there. It's too bad because it seems like a fun fight. This will be a bit discouraging for friends who run together though....kinda made it a bit of a bummer.
Lack of premade parties and queues is a feature, not a bug.
Hi Becky, so you are saying that if two of us team up and go in, we will (almost) always be in separate instances? I play with my friends, and would like to do Tiamat with them as well - to me this is a bug, not a feature.
Might is not always right - the powerful sometimes forget that.

You can try to get into the same instance as your friends by entering the Temple at the exact same second. It won't always work, but you can try.
I'm not saying players have to like it or view it as good design. I'm saying that as much word as we've gotten from devs is that there are no current plans to change how the Temple of Tiamat is entered.

Or is the separation of existing teams a feature?

The Small BandIf you find a player that likes not being able to play with friends I'd love to see it.
