Never seen a lock box trading event, one question can i trade a Phoera for a Aranea, Pseudodragon or what

Nay, the tradeable locked box items must be unbound. So, he won't trade an item for another that binds on aquire, as it would bind to him and he'd not be able to trade it.

I sent in the inquiry on Greater for Lesser rarity. Have to run some errands, so will report back when he responds.

Sort of funny...you can only trade an orange artifact for another orange artifact. All well and good, except there is only 1 orange artifact.

Here's the official details, seems he snuck it in earlier this morning after I did my rounds reading the news!

Lockbox Trading Event 12/5-12/7

December 5th - When is that in your Time Zone?
December 6th - When is that in your Time Zone?
December 7th - When is that in your Time Zone?

Because of the legendary efforts of the Neverwinter community during the Great Treasure Trade Event, we'll be holding a Lockbox Trading Event from Friday 12/5 until Sunday 12/7!

During the event, the Neverwinter team will be carrying a selection of rare lockbox items and will be available to trade with adventurers in exchange for their unbound lockbox items.

Have two of the same lockbox companion or mount? Or maybe you just really want to trade an Emperor Beetle you found for a Tenser's Floating Disk? During the event, the community team will send out in-game broadcasts and messages on Twitter detailing their location in-game. Players who approach them with their rare lockbox items will be able to exchange those items for a similar item from a different lockbox. This is your chance to make sure you have all of the rarest items in Neverwinter!

How does the event work?
For each day of the event, the Neverwinter community team will be in-game from 2-4PM PST. You can follow Neverwinter on Twitter and keep an eye out for announcements as to where the community team will be in-game. We’ll be in-game for a limited time, so you won't want to delay!

We’ll also make an in-game broadcast for anyone who is currently in the game and waiting to make a trade. Players will be asked to form a line to make it easier to trade with everyone. If we can’t get to everyone waiting to make a trade, don’t worry, there will be other chances during the 72 hour period to make trades.

Things to keep in mind: Lockbox items can only be exchanged for similar quality lockbox items (purple for purple, orange for orange) and for the same type of item (Companions for companions, mounts for mounts, artifacts for artifacts). The community team can only carry a certain number of each item at one time and can only make one trade per account per day.

Would be even sillier if someone did want to. They could buy multiple artifacts for the AD they could get off the legendary. Trading it for a single epic would be a potentially huge profit loss. I can see mounts being more reasonable in wanting to exchange, as they're the same movement speed. Still, on the same hand as the legendary artifact, legendary mounts are worth more than epics.

Since the phoera and aranea are both purple but have a massive AD gap (around 3 mill more for arenea) would they still accept this trade?

Yep! They're both Epic and they both are top level Companions from a locked box, so the trade would be acceptable.
