I took a break from the game right before module 3 was released.
When I came back a few weeks ago I checked Icewind Dale and the dragon campaign.
Now we have module 5 running along with new Lockboxes.
1. Icewind Dale gear:
I think the way this gear set can be receiped is kind of disrespuctful to the old hard-working gamers of the old days. It aint THE gear set at all but it´s a good gear set. Why should anyone run dungeons over and over to get the old T2 gear if he just has to run the Icewind dailies and get the new T2 gear easily "for free"?! Or why should anyone buy your farmed items for good prices?!
2. Tyranny of Dragons
It´s a nice campaign... but... whats the point of running dragon runs day by day while u can buy all the stuff on AH?!
I mean all the stuff for crafting the legendary weapons and the items for the last 2 boons. Sure it´s nice that we can buy everything and that the amount of "quest items" is that high that the prices drop minute by minute.
But tbh... it´s gettin boring.
3. Rise of Tiamat
I can´t say much about the campign yet and don´t get the point of running Tiamat runs yet but... wow!... check the amount of new legendary items on AH!!! The result is that you can buy a LEGENDARY item for 150k AD or maybe less soon.
Guys... we are talking about LEGENDARY EQUIPMENT... for the price of a banana.
Today it´s all about Astral Diamond!
Sure... you can run for your items but... why?!
Just get enough AD and buy all the items you wanna have.
MY WISH FOR MODULE 6
Please Devs please... get back to the good old gameplay like we had before Module 3!
Don´t you remember those days when we had to run dungeons over and over to get one single epic item piece?
Don´t you remember those days when we were hungry to run Dungeon Delvs Runs?
Don´t you remember the pain, the anger, frustration and the indescribable happiness with all those runs?
Don´t you remeber those days when we really had to stick together running in groups, helping each other and learning from the "pros"?
Give back a gameplay where we have to work for the gains!
Give back the love and hate for the game!
Leave it all buyable but make it hard to get again!
Economy will grow when rare items become rare again.
PS: Thanks for the very good job of the entire NW D&D team. Keep up the very good job you are doing!
I DO remember those days.
They sucked.
Your Character Progression depended on who you knew, not how you played.
You had to run the same @#&^ Dungeons over and over every *&#HAMSTER^ day. And if you didn't belong to a good Guild? You were @*(&#$'ed.
The best thing about all these new Campaigns is that we don't have to do the #$^ Dungeons unless we want to.
And I ain't votin'.
The Poll is loaded.
Just lettin' folks earn their Gear by just playin' the Game ain't a bad thing, even it it ain't GATED behind a Dungeon Door.

Obtaining a full set of IWD gear requires either intensive farming or a massive amount of luck (barring their recent Zen store event pertaining to such). It's a different way of earning gear, not worse.

You will be able to farm those new belts and necks. The droprate seems fine. I wish they'd introduce a greater droprate behind harder content, but at the moment it is acceptable.
Refining your artifacts however, is still completely broken. BOA stones
I can't see any legendary artifact gear (belts/cloaks) on the AH but you are right ,if legendary artifact gear did drop it ought to be uber rare and super expensive , the artifact gear that drops is uncommon or rare depending on where it drops from and requires either a huge investment or a huge amount of effort to make legendary so it stands to reason that uncommon and rare items that players have to work their backsides off to make useful should be relatively easy to obtain ,it is the leveling up that cryptic seems to want to make the difficult part .
getting an uncommon cloak / belt is like putting a carrot in front of your nose. Hi want it better, pay up zen to get AD or buy the refine stones to make it better, teeheehee ps. we don't tell you more is coming in mod 6 which makes it useless.
At least that is how me and some guildies think about artifact gear. I would rather grind a dungeon for it, even if its not a challenge then buy it. Just doesn't feel the same, the rush to me is pugging and completing a dungeon (getting kicked makes me very angry though, but who wouldn't be angry?).

But I´m missing those days...
Do you really run dungeons or play a game fierce when there ain´t desirabel aims?
Everything said here, +1
Nope... I´m the one who bought the legendaries cheap from cash users...
