I didn't get to login in time today to finish out the event, but now I'm trying to spend the 250 defense supplies I saved up and I can't find the guy anywhere. Don't tell me I have to discard it all now (I paid like 2000 gold for these lol) because I missed the event ending by 10 minutes.................
Yes, this is absurd!! I wasted hours just trying to manage my resources to get one more attempt at something other than the bottom award from the defender's pack after 7 attempts. And now just like the whole event (in regards of rewards) it was a complete waste of time and I am currently wasting all my profession resources on 7 chars for NOTHING (plus my girlfriends 4 which I so kindly did for her).
Please bring him back so I can get one last chance at something other than silvery scales.
And to add - I stayed up 24 hours so I could set off another batch of professions. Did you devs not even bother to think what your loyal players do to try and at least get a reward out of your events???

If you are short any medals to get say the defenders pack, you can always buy them at the zen store for 50 zen each. Not sure how long they'll be available via this method though.

I have just come home from work (UK) to find out that all the professions that have been set off so I can have one last defenders pack, have been a complete waste of time and resources! You have removed the man that allowed us to turn in our defense supplies, basically rendering the last day of the event a complete waste of time and resources for me (and obviously a large percentage of your player base). Please PLEASE allow us to to at least have a chance of turning in our rewards.

Not a daily quest, a repeatable quest as long as you had supplies.
Anyway, he wasn't a store, he was basically a quest node.
I cashed out last night event though I technically could have run one more round of professions overnight for more stuff, but it would have been too much of a pain to get done before the maintenance.

Additional: events with permanent profession assets seem to be designed with repeats in mind, so don't jump the gun on dumping stuff you can't redeem right now.

I'm pretty sure I heard them specifically state this would only happen once, not positive, though. It certainly wouldn't make any sense to repeat it story-line wise.

As I wrote in some other thread, they might not repeat *this exact* siege, but the siege event mechanic (new map with ever-spawning heroic encounters) and the rewards and profession with a "Neverwinter defense" theme very much lend themselves to being reused. The specific enemy is entirely irrelevant.

There are horde of people who still have Defense Supplies and who were caught surprised by the fact that they can't be turned in anymore. Please either bring back the person changing them or make the usual merchant to exchange them to medals.
Also to avoid things like this, could you please turn Moonstone Mask into kinda "Café of Broken Dreams" from Fallout, where all the merchants from events would gather after every event to do what they did throw sarcastic and nostalgic lines to each other like "Have you noticed how there was thousands of cultists killed in the battlefield, but looters couldn't find a single rusty sword afterwards. Did they throw rocks in there?" or "All I ever wanted was to be a farmer, but no. They forced to keep me the bridge leading to the green dragon whose name is too hard to pronounce and who always came back, no matter how many times they killed or drove him off".
This would mean all the essential persons could be found afterwards from there and it would give the inn some actual purpose.
Give us 4 or more power/item bar profiles so we can change powers and items with one click that are suited for the situation.

Agreed! The developers should have allowed that vendor to hang around a few days like they have with other events. Weird . . .
As others have stated, the event vendor is still there; the defense supplies guy was an event quest.
Just like with Midsummer Festival -- where the woman who traded flower petals for event items disappeared with the end of the event, while a store persisted on the dais in PE.
I guess they should have had the defense supplies person in the siege area, to make it more obvious people needed to finish their turn-ins before the event ended.

I think this is where my confusion came from. it did cross my mind he could vanish.
I also thought since he was pretty much needed to purchase the top prize boxes that he would stick around or they would add the option to the other NPC or something.

Thanks for the heads up ya pricks....
annnnnnnnnnnnnnd 400 defense supplies (and 6 medals) discarded, thanks a bunch cryptic.........
One time I decide to invest gold in something and it ends up on the ground LMFAO...
You left in the one guy who takes medals as payment for boxes, but took out the guy who trades boxes for medals.
Please bring back the Supply Defense Master
Sometimes i just find it really hard to understand:p
I will wait for Cryptic to defeat me instead of defeating myself by saying no:p

brig it back! immediately!
Thank you.
+1
Should always let players do the final turnins.
Why shouldn't that be the case here
Because the vendor is around, the defense supplies were a second daily quest type deal.
Shoulda seen this coming because I was thinking about how worthless the supplies would be after the siege was "lifted" lol.

Ahh, this does seem likely, good thinking.
