All Mount Animations

About a year ago I made a video comparing the Dawn Unicorn and Heavy Inferno Nightmare animations. I would like to re-do this video and include at least one mount from every type or group of mounts. But I need your help!

1. Please review the list below to verify if the mounts in each group do indeed share the same animations, except where noted by a star. The star (*) indicates that the mounts have the same run and jump animations, but have different summon VFX. Let me know if I have something in a group that shouldn't be, or if something has alternate summon VFX and I haven't marked it as such!

2. Please let me know if you have one of the below listed mounts that is not already represented. Ideally I want one mount from each group, and additionally any mounts from that group that have alternate summon VFX. I am making a foundry map specifically for this purpose so we can get nice, clean film footage of each mount. @handles are listed for mounts that have already been volunteered for the video.

I also have several others but they are already accounted for (in the main list and by Ambisinisterr above. I know Demo_Record inside and out (I even wrote a user's guide for it - free if anyone wants a copy) - so just say how you want it recorded and I'll do it for you.

EDIT TO UPDATE - I see you'll do your own recording, that's good, too. Just let me know when and where. FYI I am easily available Pacific Time Zone all day on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays - usually from about 5 AM to 7PM-ish (I telecommute to work part of the week). In-game @Handle is @Skytzyc

Thanks AngrySprite! Can you tell me if the mounts you listed above have the same animations and/or summon VFX as the other animals in their group? i.e. does the Black Ice Warhorse have the same animation as the other horses? (Rears up and neighs when you do a standing jump?) Does it appear in a cloud of dust like other horses when you summon it? I want to make my list comprehensive.

I didn't even know demorecording was available in NW. I dabbled with it back in the days of City of Heroes, but I certainly was no expert at it. I was just planning on hiding the UI and using fraps to record.

I will send a note to you once I have all the mounts covered, so we can set up a time to meet in-game. Thanks for volunteering!

Thanks Greensai! Does the owlbear mount have the same animations as the other bears, as far as you can tell? I will add you to the list and then reach out to you once it's time to start recording.

If you're doing the recording, I could volunteer some time. My own recording skills would be nonexistent.

Fey Wolf mount (from a charge rewards promo) uses the base wolf model, not sure about summon animation. I have access to it through my husband's account. He also owns the white tiger and a Kwalish, of mounts you don't have covered.

The dappled riding horse has a summon animation of a cloud of snow and ice crystals. I own one of these.

Keep in mind that spacebar animations are also variable. The reanimated destrier does stuff no other horse does, for example, and the two apparatuses are subtly different.

I have a Silverback Bear, I don't know if it shares animations with other bears though.
Also, how can we record the videos? I'm not very familiar with that :S

Thank you everyone, I will update the first post with your names!

I will be recording using FRAPS (I have the paid version, so it records in high quality and doesn't insert the fraps logo in the video.) FRAPS just records directly what's on your screen into whatever file type you want. I then import those files into Corel Video Studio Pro to create the finished product.

I think all the horses are the same - with different Spawn Effects, except the animated Destrier - which coughs three times, the third releasing a fog of "dust" and flies from its mouth (actually pretty creepy) and possibly the Armored Ghost Horse - but I forget what it's animation is (might just be the same "rearing up").

The Black Ice Warhorse does rear-up like others, but several heavy lighting bolts come out of the armor when it does this - like a massive static electricity release or something.

I think the Giant Beetles are both the same as each other, and to me are the best, most creative of all animations (running, jumping, rearing, and idle.)
