Or maybe heroic version of dung? But rly heroic, and if... IF u end it, u can take from chest any of possible drops, while epic still will be depend on our lovly rng?

Easy option in heroic dung adds always will hit for 90% of u hp, r easy controlable, or u will be able to deal dmg to them only on CA, many of possibilities.

Well the boss has an AoE with no red indicator, same range as my CW, that oneshots me with 26.9k HP and shield on tap. Unless you got a tank and DC I would not call it a walk in the park.
Chars: CW, DC, GF, GWF, HR and TR.

How the hell have you unlocked your skirmish already? I've been doing all 5 daily zones every day since the start of M4.

    EDIT: nvm

Then you should have all the secrets and sigils you need for unlocking it, right? THe trick is that the "Assist X" tasks are 20-hour tasks, not 24-hour tasks. You start a task, say, at noon. the next day you start a task at 8AM...then you wake up at 4AM and start the next one, and the day after that you do one at midnight and at 8PM.

    Simple ;)

I couldn't have said it better myself , people whine the game is too easy but then continue to play it , seems pretty strange that the message still hasn't got through to them that this a mmo aimed mainly at casual players and that is almost certainly the way it will stay because the vast majority of the games players are just that , casual players , not hardcore raiders who are happy to spend 15 hours a day getting to the first boss in a raid , if people want that then why criticize a game that has never even hinted at the idea of large raids , if this game is so boring and mainstream leave and play something that better caters to your needs.

So people shouldn't ask for well made content? Pre mod 1 things weren't really too easy then they added artifacts and now a load of campaigns worth of boons which increases our ability by a lot and there's not really been anything to keep our interest to use that ability while making old content eventually much easier where we outgrow it. This MMO could be so much more but fails to deliver and on that note a lot of people are let down by it and frustrated at the continued flaws.

Also just unlocked the new dungeon \o/ ^_^

Is it possible to post the Dragon Gem in the AH or is it BoP?

There are 2 of the Dragon Gems on the AH as of this posting. So apparently they can be posted just fine.

13m AD and 30m AD are their prices btw.

Making content challenging is one thing but making it so difficult that it , and I quote " In an mmo im at least expecting a month, or AT LEAST a week of wiping before people get it right." is another thing altogether , in this game people complain that it takes a couple of weeks to get the boons to get into icewind dale , can you imagine the complaints if a dungeon was so difficult that it took a week or even a month for anybody to finally beat it? not only would that be even more frustrating it would also in all likelihood exclude a massive percentage of the population ever even going near to it simply due to the difficulty level , neverwinter isn't that kind of game ,it never has been and in all probability never will be so complaining about the game missing a feature that was never ever in any way even hinted at is pointless to say the least.

That's a fair point, I was just saying that there's is a lack of content as a reasonable level done in a way that allows us to keep playing in the same way that the game did before the modules were released. Though I do think dungeon balance wasn't done the best, particulary ToS who has insane healing which a lot of people resorted to exploiting to beat at the time. Now however when we actually have many thousands of gear score above the minimum and a boon that can decrease healing some people argue it's easy. Though I expect that the people who do say that miss the fact that they are overgeared for the content now and isn't really designed to be balanced for them. The difficulty isn't too much of a concern to me but mostly the lack of content since we have the gear and the fact that dungeons are now completely unrewarding for their effort. The old ones are expected to be that way since, well they're outdated. But the new ones don't really give us a reason to keep playing which is annoying. I have yet to try this modules dungeon apart from a test run on preview though so we'll see if this one is better. If there was insane difficulty content it could be nice to have. I'm not overly concerned about that. A heroic mode could bring a lot of life and replayability into the game though if done right (ie worth doing).

yeeey another dungeon/skirmrish that got cleared by a random buch on people the first day it was availible. Another farm fest incoming where you dont really have to try hard, just grind hard to get what you want.

You expect it to be almost impossible to do with their pathetic drop rates? If they want to make things super hard, the drop rate better be near 100% for good items...

So all in all they went for the endless grind instead of something you try hard at and accomplish eventually.

This isn't a dungeon it's a skirmish. There is a Big difference between the two.

Indeed - and given what I have heard about the dungeon from those who tried it on Preview, I would not expect a relatively smooth first run there. I think a semi-decent group with good gear and a good mix of classes should be able to figure it out quickly, though.

So you did 11 runs, that's 55 keys in total for your party, that's 3.3k zen and nobody got belt? what?

Yes, well..I'm not sure if all of us bought keys, but most of us did - and no belt or accessory drops- just what I listed, and I was the lucky one in the group, with 6 purple drops - Glitch got a talisman and I think some others got a drop or two as well. It seems quite clear to me that belts are going to be a rare drop, and perhaps the best option is to buy them on the AH right now - with the key sale, many people are probably opening lockboxes, which should increase the supply of belts and push prices down.

At least that's what I did - bought a belt for just under 1.9M yesterday. I wanted to make sure I had one before the double RP weekend.

Indeed. I almost think it'd be preferable to have hard content that I could fail and had to work towards achieving but knowing I'd get a reward than easy content I can succeed at but knowing I've got little chance of reward.

I'm so over this low percentage random drop design.

For new people, expect a first time wipe - unless they all have upgraded cats and great timing. :)

Your kidding right? Your talking about a community where a dungeon run of over 10 minutes is too long, and wiping at the boss once is considered a failed party and 3 out of 5 will quit rather than trying again.

I am perfectly fine with the level of difficulty in this game. My main source of runs are pugs with the legit channel. Sure I see a few people again and again, but for the most part I am with different people every time. This would make it very difficult for me to progress on extremely hard content. I also work 40+ hours a week, so I don't have time to bang my head into a wall. I am good at what I do, but I like the game as it is, because everything is viable and everyone can participate in everything in game. This is the way a theme park MMO should be.

I've done Shores about 9-10 times now.

I got the Dragon Gem on my very first run, from the regular chest.
I got only the r5 enchant from the 5 extra chest keys I bought.

Beyond that I have gotten 1 Draconic Helmet from a chest, one dropped by the boss (which was BoE), and one greater enchant.

I've been pugging it - and it is not a walk in the park. I think we've done the boss once on the first try - the most have been 8 tries to get him down. I've wiped several times on trash packs, and have had to stock up on injury kits again :P

I think Shores is fun, and also a great training run for how Lostmauth will be, in terms of difficulty of mobs etc.

(and hi!!!! adinosii, fellow guildie :) )

Adding more data, i'm now at 25 runs, all of them opening both chests. I got 4 glyphs in total, and 5 draconic pieces. The boss just dropped the book on the 25th run, we had to roll for it (need/greed/pass) and one of my teammates got it.

Seems like i'll stop opening the special chests from now on, out of zen anyway and it doesn't seem worth it, i'm still looking for the dragon gem which drops from the normal chest.

Just like the Dragon gem it doesn't specify, and the person who got it just confirmed it's tradeable.

So there is no reason to run the dungeon then? Or a better way to put it is, it is a waste of time to run the dungeon

could be a bug xD remember the battlefield seals for pvp artifact, was supposed to be bop but was tradable first week. (referring to the books for the 4th and 5th boon)

I just ran the epic skirmish and I liked it , a few deaths among the party and I ended up being glad that I kept hold of my Purified black ice set for the extra tankyness , not bad rewards either (at least for the only chest I have opened so far) a epic green dragon glyph , the CW offhand , a rank five draconic enchantment and a couple of other things .

If it's the normal chest, you've been lucky. I did it twice and had only a rank 5 draconic enchant and a scroll of Id each time ...

From what I am hearing, there does not seem to be any difference between the chests regarding quality of drops. However, we have not yet heard of anyone getting artifact or accessory drops - it is perfectly possible that they can only be found in the special chest.

What we do hear are people getting the helmets and off-hands (although I think I got mine from the special chest), as well as the occasional gem and glyphs. Gem drop rate seems very low, though, but we should get more data in the next few days as the bulk of the lvl 60 population unlocks the skirmish.

Boss drops are another issue - I have never seen the skirmish boss drop anything of interest, but others have reported BoE versions of various items, like draconic helmets or the book required for the 4th boon.

Drops seem to be badly broken then , I got the CW offhand and it is BoP , I wish they would lose this godamn BoP obsession .

Edit nvm the boss drops are BoE while chest drops are BoP.

I did maybe 25 runs and got a gem, a bone, both from chest, a belt from boss (this was interesting. the belt directly appeared in my inventory), a few offhands and helmets. I didn't open any chests with Zen and don't plan to.

The skirmish is semi-fun and much better balanced than other stuff Cryptic released. I think it's possible for them to release quality PvE in a few years:)
