Common Cause Bug

Icespire common cause,done it a few times,this time though? i couldnt comple this one subquest,called "miner settlement"
ive done everything,cleared all tents or w.e, but nothing,i couldnt give in this quest at any way,neither find anything left i could do about it...

so here i am,aborting the whole quest to simply retake it, hoping things would get fixed, NOPE, i cant even join mithral mine now,had to party with another guy now to enter,but i still cant finish the "fix the wagon" quest, cant interact with any freaking wagon

Hmm.. Did you finish ANY of the quests given by the respective npc of the zone before taking the Common Cause quest in PE.. ? Seems like that would be the cause/trigger of such 'bug'..

Better to take the Common Cause quest first before undertaking any of the ToD other quests

People keep posting this, and the answer. Searching would save a lot of time. Rant, grumble etc.

Secondary quests often come from NPCs near the Common Cause one in PE. Sometimes, the quest doesn't appear right away, so you need to avoid rushing off until you have it.

(When you have it, the miners are sparkly corpses on the ground that you need to click, if that helps)

No! NO! Before you start grumbling and lecturing people about searching the forums pls try to at least know slightly what you are talking about. Miner Settlement doesn't even come from PE... maybe you should search the forums before you post?

The correct answer is (probably)that you got common cause on a day when he was offering miner settlement, but are talking to him on a day when he is offering fix their wagons instead.

Well, this is a bit of a necro.

So yeah, they had Common Cause from a previous day when the revolving daily was different.

Then they dumped the old Common Cause, took it again, which happened to still be Icespire... but they already did all the quests and couldn't do them again. Not sure if their problems entering the mine were because they'd turned it in that day and couldn't get it a second time or just plain forgot to pick it up, but they do also specifically refer to not being able to do that.

Water under the bridge, I'm sure. None of it bugs though, just user misunderstanding of how this stuff works.
