I agree that Draconians look better, but except for the miniature none of them are draconians.

As stated, Dragonborn do not have tails. The tails are not missing, they are not supposed to have them as specifically stated in the official D&D race description.

So much cooler than the disgrace we got =(
DITTO. I am a Dragonlance universer, WTF is 'Fae-run' LOL
Krynn for the Win!
I believe the lore on Dragonborn states something to the effect of: they *can* grow tales, wings, and spit fire but rarely. I'm not sure. Old Zeb (Zebular) is the Lore Gawd from my perspective. He'll know for sure.
Dragon born are not draconians. Draconians are aboninations created from ritually sacrificing metallic dragon eggs.
yeah, their 'birth' is a lot more interesting, too: for example: a "good" Draconian is derived from Evil Dragon eggs and vice-versa. Call these Dragonborn what you want. In MY mind I shall be Draconian.

Heh, thanks. My realm of knowledge focuses on the Realms, Al-Quadim, Planescape, Ravenloft, and Spelljammer with major dabbling in Dragonlance and rudimentary knowledge of the rest of the TSR/WotC settings.
Anywho, dragonborn do not have tails as they are not from Krynn. Now in 5th edition, Draconians (the ones with tails from Krynn) are actually now a subrace of Dragonborn.
Somewhat glad they don't have tails. Give them helms before a tail!
I agree. The Teifling tail is the very reason I'll never create a Teifling race - not because of the tail itself, but because there is no collision and I dislike the ridiculous-looking clipping of their tails wagging through the middle of cloaks and capes.
Dunno, I like Dragonborn the way Cryptic designed them(I have much bigger issues with the way Halflings and Half Orcs are portrayed basically). They do look true to WoTC publications material. I don't have one yet, but eventually thinking of getting, within my next 2 characters. I believe they would look best as Palladin, Cleric or some savage type of warrior(with fur, skeleton and hide armor sets and weapons). Their Helm should just be a reskin of their head in my opinion to make it look more metallic and damage enduring(or some colorfoul drakes head, maybe)

Faerûn - a border plane to Krynn... and with all the portal magic around.. it's not a far hop to Sigil either.
Di has no tail, unless you call that tiny flat butt a "tail". She's a half dragon anyhow, not a dragonborn.
"Tekhasis was a bit of a wuss, and Tiamat's not far behind. I mean some old guy with a BEARD was around a demise of both. That and something about a fork. Spork maybe. It was a utensil anyhow. Hmm... need some tea."
" I tried to figure out the enigma that was you, and then I realized mastering Wild Magic was easier." - Old Wizard in Waterdeep
"Why is it dragons only use ketchup? I'd like a little wasabi please. Us silvers like a variety of condiments."
"Don't call them foolish mortals. One, they don't learn from it. Two, It just ticks them off." - An Ancient Red Dragon

The true reason for the ancient war between the Dragonborn and the Tieflings is that the Tieflings stole the tails from the Dragonborn for their own use.

*the old mage chuckles madly while shaking his head no*
As much as I would love to have a tail I am perfectly happy with my scales and chest plates the way they are. I think the model in game looks amazing. Best looking playable race in game and totally worth what I paid for them.

Sadly its the way WotC designed them and Cryptic can't deviate from that even if they wanted to.

One word: Kender.

Try telling a kender to say kender with just one word! You'll never get them to shut up... They'll chat anyway but might be fun.
