CWs are being royally sharded

    hmmmm, you need more practice on using shard.
    If I miss 2 mobs, I can still teleport into it and push to explode (my normal ping is 300-400ms) when you see it miss, teleport behind it, when it starts to shake you need to push it fast, you can use the shaking motion of the ball to indicate that its near exploding, and time the explosion with your push.
    I'm a renegade MoF, it shines in CN/VT/MC, I can out-damage similarly geared Storm CW.
    they out-dpsed me in normal t2 duns but when it comes to the 3 above they'll be behind a 4-5 million in numbers.
    trust me you need shard, I tried it on preview its hard without shard slotted in the load-out, the monsters can kill you fast if you can't prone them, freezing them is still unreliable, cause you need 6 ticks to froze them by those time god knows what if the monster got some blink (blade masters in ToS) you'll be kneeling infront of him (god knows what he'll do to you! in that position;)). In IWD its hard to solo the wolf and bear encounters without the shard, you need its prone to tick the cold spells to freeze (and if you're an MoF like me, you need its prone to tick the smolder/rimfire, and enjoy your lifesteal while running around :o).

    People are sporting 35-55k Hp in PvP these days, and they do it for the reasons you mentioned above. In the next module, we will be able to get about 70K HP.

    It is basically your own fault for coming in unprepared.

    I'm not complaining or placing blame. Just stating a fact.

    I already said that you CANNOT BY ANY MEANS 1shot someone with it! For it to give out 20k+ dmg you NEED to be AT LEAST with 40% HP Left and that is NOT 1Shot.

    This daily is actually a gambling game, you either crit and its really useful or you don't and its useless and you were better off not using it...

    EDIT: It still does ignore Defences and dodges but unlike Ice Knife, if you go too far away from the caster, it will stop and cancel!

    Damage has been substantially nerfed. The only usefulness now in PvE is the prone it gives so it's now control > damage for shard. Most people have been giving it up for straight up damage like sudden storm instead. I don't PvP myself but people say the damage from it is completely useless also.

    This is my log as a thaum with evocation and spell storm on test dummies in Trade of Blades. Wearing HV set with lesser plaguefire. EoTS is pretty much dead in mod 4.

    I had picked Transcended Master (which buffs shard damage by 25%) since we can no longer get nightmare wizardry without going full renegade. The capstone feat Assailant is our top damage now. Even CoI on tab did more damage than shard. Bye bye shardplosion.

    I'm full renegade and still couldn't take Nightmare Wizardry, for some reason. They took the points out of it and I can't put them back in.

    CW might be bugged, I haven't really been on preview the last few days. I just know that race change wasn't working with CW because of the feats and might be related.

    First of all, they didn't fix Shocking execution til mod 2.

    Second of all, it was ignoring defenses, and total hp when used, THATS WHY IT WAS FOUND BUGGED IN THE FIRST PLACE!

    Third of all, it USED TO 1 shot players, no matter their hp, once again leading to why it was "fixed" to how it is now.

    Fourth of all, never denied its high risk/reward usage. In fact, no one did. Just that it seems certain people ;) forget why it was nerfed in the first place!
    I hear "learn to play" all the time, but it seems to me that it should be defined as "my class is balanced, except when others beat it, then THAT class is OP"...

    . . . Much is being changed with CWs (and other classes), I suggest to test things out or read up on it all in the Preview Forums. As there is just soap box arguments going on here, on a subject that will be out-dated and irrelevant when M4 releases... this topic is closed.
