Refinement rewards

So, yeah, there is a new reward for buying refinement items on the zen store, much like the charge rewards event. The companions are pretty nice looking, however I have a BIG question that I would love answered. It appears they are all epic level companions from the start, which would be GREAT, but the current version of the companions are by default uncommon. I would LOVE an answer from the devs or community for sure before I spend money on companions that I already have, thanks.

    They will be lvl 30 but you will have to level them up , I liked the sound of this too until I saw you had to purchase 5 coal wards lmfao

    I would love to believe you, but without "official" word I have a hard time with spending $100 on a maybe.

    Only the Faithful Initiate Companion is shown to be Purple out of the box, have you a reason to think all the companions are epic? Previous experience etc?

    All 3 companions show as rank 30 in the preview window for them. Mind, only the cleric shows up as purple, and rank 1, so I do believe that the cleric will be purple, but the other ones I am dubious.

    Except that it's showing the wrong cleric companion as the stats listed. I too am sceptical if it will actually be epic. My guess is no. We need clarification.

    Indeed.

    Has anyone seen any of the other pets in game before? I've seen quicklings for sure when Shar was released, were they green or purple? Assuming the drow has been in before too.

    Yeah, confirmation of the quality of the companions upon receipt would be helpful for people.

    The quicklings were originally released as a charge reward around mod 1 release. They were green quality.

    The mercenary was a charge reward from a while back, and also green.

    The tiefling cleric was from a magazine promotional code, iirc, and was green as well.

    Are you officially saying that the rewards from this "event" are all green in quality? If so, the picture of the cleric companion is really misleading.

    I gave 100 dollars to PWE through Arc, as directed, on the evening of the 17th.

    Where are my companions?

    Can we PLEASE keep this thread on topic? This is not about whether or not you got previous charge rewards, this is about the current refinement event.

    I would bet $100 they are all green however I'll be passing this one up as I don't need any more green companions (especially since I already have them all but two anyway) I'll be looking at the Dragon born $75 pack instead this month

    Right now, I can only assure you from past experience that they are all Green. They have frequently shown companions in their fully-upgraded form in past rewards. Never-the-less, I am asking for confirmation from the source. We'll let you know when we get word.

    Wow that is so lame , they gave most of this stuff away totally and completely free as green quality at one time or another , I just assumed that asking people to spend over $100 and showing epic pictures meant they would be fully upgraded and just need leveling lol

    Thankyou, that is all I ask.

    BTW, if they are green quality, can you please encourage them to post new pics that don't show them in any other condition than what we get them as? It is really misleading.

    Just to say, the pictures they have posted of the Faithful Initiate and Drow Mercenary show level 30 costumes - I have the level 20 versions of them both and these are way more elaborate than mine! (Want!). Also the stats for the Drow is level 30 I believe, as he is 55 per stat at level 20.

    This has been said before, but really there needs to be absolute clarity when advertising items you expect people to pay for and not delivering what they are lead to expect. This way lies madness good sirs.

    Also, what happens if you already own these companions? Will the ones you have be able to be leveled up from 20 to 30? Would like to know (see, more detail that can get sales - not vague adverts)

    Are all of them epic, or what are their rarities? The cleric is showing as rank 1 very rare while the quickling and drow show as rank 30 commons.

    Also, the names of cleric and drow in the description are different the the pictures. Faithful initiate vs. cleric disciple, and drow mercenary vs. mercenary.

    There are at least two versions of the skeletal dog, which one is included?

    And are you serious about 5 wards for 1k zen apiece or is that a typo?

    Nice little money maker for them, this one. The only thing that interests me is the cleric, but not for $50/5000 Zen. If someone participates in the whole thing, that's 10,300 Zen. No wonder there was an 'incentive' to get players buying Zen just before it.

    Just wanted to ask and make sure: if I want the DAY 4 quickling companion reward ONLY, then I only have to buy two blood ruby packs (FROM 7/27 10 AM PDT to 7/28 10 AM PDT)?

    Is this correct? (or do i have to participate in buying the items on days 1,2, and 3 (in addition to day 4) in order to get the quickling companion)

    2nd question: Do these companions come with a lesser bonding runestone? (or any bonding runestone at all like the ones in the ZEN shop)?

    You were right the first time. Only need to do all 4 days if you want the mercenary and skeletal dog (I wondder what rarity). The 2nd one I beleive they don't come with a runestone.

    I can only tell you that the 5k zen worth of wards is real :) the quickling needs 4k zen (2x 2k worth packs), so to get the whole thing you need 10300 zen (I think)

    . . . We've just gotten confirmation that the companions shown are shown at their Rank 30 stats so players can see their potential, as has been promoted in the past.     The cleric "potential" is all wrong, it's for the cleric disciple, not the faithful initiate.

    And what lvel is the skeletal dog? There are 2, a white one and a blue one. Both have the same name.

    Thanks for the update, Zeb, only one problem. The "cleric" companion shown is not the faithful initiate, and is rank 1 with epic stats. This is very confusing, can you please confirm this is a different companion, or the same one as from previous thing? It would be really silly to pay $50 just to get the same old companion as before.
