Skull Companion Bad Language!

So I was near the Mail box opposite the Bank near the Companions Emporium. There at the Moment is the Skull companion on display with a Companion not yet in the game.

I know it yells obscenities as part of its attack BUT;

"Your Mother was a w***e" coming from it was quite a shock.

We can not filter this.

Why is it there for? So we can opt out of reading bad language but you attack our hearing senses. WHY?

I already have the Music set off - the mindless repeated dribble was bad enough - not this as well.

If I had the Companion and I do not; I do not want to remember the Lady who pretended to be my mother every time I change the skin or summon it - let alone have her think that I think of her in that way either. Jez.

    Lol he says "your moma was an orc" xD

    One of my friends misheard it as "Your moma wasn't hard" while we were running SP. He wiped when he did xD

    Laughing skull made my day again, I love this companion ^ _^

    Is there no way to open the game files and change the audio files or delete them or would that be against the ToS?

    Yeah, love the orc quip. Phonetically it's as close as a whisker.

    Don't take your aggression out on the Skull just because you have issues with "lady who pretended to be your mother". The skull is probably the most entertaining companion out, and it needs no censorship. Get a sense of Humor, and move on with your life.

    If you dislike insults so much why would you take a companion that has insults and curses as its main attacks? :S

    People tend to take everything in this game a little too seriously, or worse: personally. So what if a stupid cartoon pixel skull thinks yo mama was a whor... er, Orc? Deal with it. I've always heard "Orc", not "[promiscuous female business person]" - if you are always hearing the word "[promiscuous female business person]" it says something about your frame-of-mind when hearing it. Actually, it says a *lot*.

    Everyone is different. Some people take offense to cursing. This person is simply expressing an opinion, which ALL of us do on this forum. We may not all agree, but we should still feel free to express our opinions without being condemned or judged.

    Wow some people will get offended at anything lol. It's just a game and having a bit of humor makes it more fun than everyone taking it so seriously....

    Even if you heard it correctly that the skull is saying your mother is a -HAMSTER. And?? Who are you to pass universal judgments about what a ***** is or isnt.

    Many people would say the run of the mill typical marriage is exactly that....give sex, receive money and shelter etc, all beautified of course with the make up of consensus actions around it... and? so? Who is anyone to personalize via judgement re that?

    You can only be insulted if you AGREE with what is being said about YOU or that which you identity with.
    ie You blazing piece of green grass you.... no biggie there right?... only because of YOUR perception of grass isnt negative (which is a choice and which you are in total control of if you choose to be in control of it) and you are clear that you arent green grass.

    If you are in control of what you ingest and personalize from the external field, your reality wont be under the control of others whims and actions; there are then no longer any buttons on your aura that says push me, push me.

    Heres a nifty mind action to try out...next time you hear anyone say anything that you find yourself personalizing, quickly imagine that they are standing in front of a mirror. Try that with the skull companion. You know you are successful when you begin to laugh at least inside when before you felt under siege.

    It will degenerate into a flame fest between classless bad mannered ppl who think it's funny versus frigid prudes who think it's not.

    I concur - and I sympathize with the OP (nothing wrong with taking such offense). However, the OP also is mistaken as they are mishearing/misunderstanding the offensive comment, which isn't offensive at all. And I stand by my "too many people take this game too seriously" mantra. :)

    Closing this now. As pointed out, the skull is saying "Orc," not the word you presumed.
