Lore Tool - Elvish Language Translator Online

Part of the fun for me when RPing different people is using "their" language. After not being able to find a decent (or any) online translator for D&D elvish, I decided to make something. Admittingly it's more Tolkienese Elvish, but beggar's can't be chosers.

I can not take any credit for the vocabulary list. It is all the work of The Grey Company, Click Here!

I also used LingoJam, it's a great simple translator. Keep in mind that it directly translates from a side by side list. Some contextual things can not be written into it, like the difference between have (hold something) and have (helping verb).

What I have been able to get up seems to be working for the most part for simple phrases. I'll continue to work on it in my spare time, meanwhile, go to The Tel'Quessir Online Translator for your elvish speaking needs.

Keep in mind, Grey Company is for Tolkien Elvish, not Forgotten Realms. Never-the-less, there are many similarities and shared usages that it's widely used by D&D players also. I even use it in a pinch!

Try this one. There's a few iterations of the name as web sites, and it seems their top level domain is having issues. This is what you want: http://www.grey-company.org/Language/

Ah. Last I knew (was about a year or so ago), they took the translator offline and replaced it with .PDF downloadable documents on all the words and translations. I wasn't aware they brought it back if they did.

I apologize, I got caught up in some other things. And as always, Zeb is right. I didn't see that until I had the translator up. Also I edited the link so it should work now.
