So here we go with apparently widespread server crashes again, affecting multiple players at once. Only this time, instead of "just" having issues getting back into game, I got a "Map Search Failure" message. Seems NWO couldn't find its own Driftwood instance.
What's the deal, Cryptic? Is this the shape of NWO future?
I thought it might have been something on my end... Glad I stopped in here.
Same issue. Timeouts trying to login, if I do get logged in, get the same "Map Search Failure" error you mention.
I haz a sad....

This freaked me out. I left the character I was trying to switch to parked somewhere odd (the hanging platform in Blackdagger) and though that might have corrupted something since his feet aren't on solid ground.
But apparently it's everyone so I guess that is better?

I just started getting this trying to zone from Icewind Pass to anywhere. After exiting and coming back I can't log into any character. Some are just getting a timeout and others this error.
Yeah, game being down does suck....but again??? Now I'm not happy with the way NW is going to be honest with you. But I can hardly say that server downtime is a consistent problem with this game. Broken PvP and PvE and constant hacking sure, but not connection issues.
I was stuck in a pvp match for 30 min because of this, I couldn't exit and the match was over people kept killing each other for 5 mins before the exit and chat started working again.
Had this problem, but it resolved after about 2-3 hours.

Same here, except I was in the intro on the Sleeping Dragon Bridge. I had just killed the harbinger. Once the server came back up, I was still in sleeping bridge but now my quest objective was to talk to Sergeant Knox and go to Protector's Enclave. Unfortunately, there was no way to actually leave sleeping dragon bridge - no door out and the door in didn't work either. You can't jump off the sides and for some reason /killme didn't work. Finally, I was able to use the help button on and on quests there is an option to "abort" the quest. This teleported me out and I ended up in Protector's enclave. It was weird, thought I might have to delete that character and start over. Anyways, heads up about the abort quest feature, I hadn't used it before.

EDIT:
This is the message I got.
"[0:56] [Admin] Couldn't get map names from map manager"
Lost rewards from pvp though - bummer
I get "Map Search Failure" when I try to send my (only) character into the game.
Did we lose people on the map?
Will try to figure out how to do the force verify thing you mentioned.
I was at 24 out of 25 of the things I needed for the Bell I want. *glahhh*
After it got too boring just camping the enemy spawn (for ANOTHER 5 minutes), I logged out but then couldn't log back in.
