gf build with one?

hey guys i wanted to try out a gf and sort of tank with it. but i'm not sure what guide/road i should go.

    If i had to choose one, i would go for tactician build.

    Don't see much reasoning to pick the iron maiden one. Being tactician can be fun however, both have crummy damage.

    tactician means you gain AP from taking damage so you can use dailies more often (you gain around either 1.4% or 0.8% AP per hit i calculated it out a while ago but i forgot which one) protector just makes you take a bit more damage.

    My GF is a Tactician, but the build I riffed on to put him together is this one:

    I'm really not an expert in GF, but my guildies seem to like him. I very much play a support-style GF, though his solo ability is acceptable to me and he's quite capable of carrying a bad PUG through event skirmishes.

    Being able to spam your dailies constantly is loads of fun.

    You might also want to look at Rokuthy's Hybris Tank build. It's a more damage-oriented build that balances both defensive and offensive abilities.

    I wouldn't worry to look for a build right now, since in MoD 4 we are getting some changes.

    Rokuthy's guide is now mostly obsolete. I used it as the basis for my current build but it is too old now for a fresh GF to model him/herself on.
    PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

    I want to point out that Protector is one of the two lines that has a 15% bonus to an at-will damage. Tactician does not. That is one of the things that makes me not in a hurry to respec, but I respect that the capstone as stronger than protectors. Conquerer you get 15% bonus on cleave. Protector you get 15% bonus on stabs. Tactician has nothing that boost an at-will.
