So you join a random squad that you were put in by queuing up and waiting. You start to do the usual stuff and everything seems to be going okay but then it turns out that, perhaps maybe, 2 or 3 squad members are just doing their own thing and it often ends up getting you killed in the process.
For me more recently it seems to be the latest CTA event:
I'm a Hunter Ranger and a Devoted Cleric (lvl60 on both) but, naturally, people think that having a DC on the squad makes them borderline invulnerable to death. It's happened to me twice now where my squad members just pile up on the bloody dragon and I'm left t fight off the mobs, preserve my own life AND theirs at the same time. Or you get one person who decides to slowly move further and further away from me and they're being glomped by mobs. Of course they go ahead and die and I get my *** kicked trying to help them.
Yes there are a lot of great players, even players that are lower level but seem to grasp an understanding that killing the bloody dragon isn't the one and only goal and everything else around them doesn't exist because "somebody else has my back." I'm not going to go into which class is the worst because I figure that's kinda unfair because it's all down to the player.
Heck I enjoy a challenge but not when it's a challenge spawned by recklessness.

I posted this last week, but I cannot think of any group I've been in that was worse, so here it is again:
I ran one pug CTA earlier where my ok-geared, partially booned experimental Saboteur Whisperknife build topped the charts in everything, with a team consisting of one level 54 TR, and level 60 HR, CW, DC. The HR single-targetted the dragon the entire time. I never saw the DC do anything other than spam Lance of Faith, and possibly call down a Guardian of Faith on the dragon now and again. The CW was using Shield and Entangling Force that I noticed, and Singularity but he didn't have it up very often. The other TR appeared to be basically doing the best she could, running a Gloaming Cut build so I didn't see her much. And my Sab ran and dodged and got thrown around and threw knives and placed DoTs like crazy and pulled the Mystics over into a corner and killed them pretty much single-handedly, and rezzed the DC and CW when they went down if she could, and got killed and respawned because nobody picked her up and came back and finished that fight LIKE A BOSS. And then she ran another one with a CW, 2 GWFs, and another TR all level 60 and came in at the bottom of the charts for everything like I would actually expect her to.
LOL,, this is one reason I stopped playing my DC. The other is the fact they are not really needed at all by high GS groups. I do however do my best to keep mobs off of them on my gwfs and they can make a lower geared run a lot smoother. Sorry for going OT but i just had to comment on this
Honestly I think my worst experience was also on my DC though - HR love to run away from you and as you say you get agro saving them and die usually. In the end i just ignored them (healing wise) if they wanted to be total morons. lol. This is also the reason I don't usually take a HR in dungeons unless i know they are decent beforehand - As for my HR she is a nature buff bot and quite tanky (50%dmg resist 25% deflect) and can heal too so no issues meleeing if I pull agro lol
May the RNG Gods smile on you today!

Typically load is DG, SB and Ashield and daily HG, Im not going to swap HW in just to heal a HR.. in a skirmish no less.
Little blue glowy circles, see them run through them... win /win =P
any DC throwing lances around.. fail!

Hmm I can't figure why people would NOT want a DC... those cleric buffs shoot damage through the roof. While admittedly high end we don't need the healing as much... the BUFFs turn a high damage group into an ungodlyinsaneludicrouspowerhouse kind of damage.
I can't recall any really bad runs, but I can recall several times when I had both Trappers, both Lizard Shamans, and both Bruisers on me... AND had the dragon agro as well. Yeah dodge breath weapon, nets, poision circles, and jump/bashing Bruisers. Was quite the fight.
I think I almost always had nearly everything on me the entire fight in all the runs I did with only few exceptions.
