Secondary artifacts?

Ok, I got my artifact from the 'Artifact Recovery' mission. If I want a secondary one, what I have to do? Buy one from the Auction House? Or there is another way?

There are a few different ways you can acquire more and different artifacts:

1. Skirmishes have a tiny chance of dropping them.

2. If you have a starmetal or adamantine gauntlet in Dread Ring, the arcane coffers from the lairs have a tiny chance of dropping them.

3. If you can get at least 2 characters to Icewind Dale, you can get a quest to unlock access for all your characters to get special class artifacts.

4. Some lockboxes can drop artifacts.

5. You can buy one off the AH.

6. I believe some epic dungeon bosses have a tiny chance of dropping artifacts.

Besides the AH, all 3 of the artifacts from "Artifact Recovery" has a very minuscule chance to drop from a skirmish chest or a dungeon boss. Some artifacts drop from certain epic dungeons, which you can check by location from you Collections tab (Ctrl + J), some drop from lockboxes.

When you have at least 2 characters at level 60 with 3 boons unlocked from a campaign, you can unlock their free class artifacts in Icewind Dale, and they become account wide. So basically with 2 characters, you can get 3 free artifacts per character, 1 from "Artifact Recovery", and 2 from class artifacts.

Note that if you are below level 60, you don't need to rush to acquire another artifact because the slots are locked.

You can also earn artifacts from PVP. The bloodskull can be bought with glory. And the Icewind dale PVP campaign gives access to the new banner artifacts.

So, all in all, there should be a way to earn them no matter your playstyle.
