2 Simultaneous Clients from SEPARATE drives/directories?

Way back when I used to play DDO, I'd run 2 clients at once sometimes but have the client exe's running from separate drives/directory folders. It eliminated alot of drag'n'lag from not reading for two active games from one hard drive. I just duped the entire game folder to a new location on another drive, made a new shortcut to the client exe in that separate folder and ran it, and it would use the core files in that second directory, then I'd launch again from my normal shortcut to run the game from the first, original directory.

This doesn't work with Neverwinter. When I run the launcher out of the duped directory, it still uses the client exe/core files from only the original install directory when hitting the big, yellow 'play' button after logging in from the launcher/patch window.

Does anyone know what line in what config file points the launcher to the client exe in a specified directory after clicking that play button? Or is there just no way at all to do that, and running the 2 clients reading out of the same resident drive/install directory the only way?

The game's registry entries are what dictates the location game files will be ran from and patched to. You can however run multiple instances of the game from a single installation. Just be aware, multiple accounts are not officially supported and while they won't just out-right ban you for having more than one, if someone uses more than one to exploit the game, then there will be a problem.

The Game Masters frown upon logging into more than one account at a single time on the same Computer and doing such will most likely raise red flags and encourage one to be watched by the GMs. If you're going to use more than one account, it is highly recommended to just play them individually within the game's Terms of Service. This is by no means a permission to have or use multiple accounts or game instances.
