I follow this thread since it was created, play PF since Mod3 launch and can't decide if any BI gear (corrupted, purified) will be superior to profound and it's awesome 4/4 bonus for PvP. Maybe I really need to create a spreadsheet with the exact stats of all 3 sets; T3 was +40 pts on every stat compared to T2 BI version, right?

I wouldn't mind seeing a spreadsheet comparing the sets :).

The stats are really good on the corrupted set, but the set bonus remains to be seen. It's going to be really hard to beat 20% movespeed and the small heal on deflects.

I don't know how anyone can get any use out of the purified set.

One thing though- the defensive purified overflow enchants are pretty great. The proc every minute and give you a very good amount of temp hp. I've only been able to try the lessers but I imagine the greaters will be pretty **** good to have equipped. Will really take the sting out of say a GWF hitting you with lunging strike, proccing the enchants and then they absorb like 6k damage of the next ability.

Plus with all that regen on the set you can either stack it like crazy or make use of other slots you're using for regen, like rings and artifacts, for more offensive stats.

Hamlet, you may be on to something really cool here. I'll be looking into this for sure. Thanks for the info!

I'm like alot of the rest of you constantly swapping out gear and abilities to keep the game fresh as possible. That being said, I have revisited my old fav daily DS. It's amazing to me how swapping out one ability can change your play experience so dramatically. I find that running DS I use my old combo of FG+Aimed shot much more. Slasher's mark is a ton of fun too though, but when I run it I find myself waiting for it and only using FG if I absolutely have to to survive. When I run DS I use FG almost every time it's off cool down if I'm around enemy players.

I'm probably going to put on my full set of combatants today too. I'm wondering what this will feel like again.

Wow, I have to say that everyone has posted some really good information. It's given me a lot to think about. I'm still tinkering with my build and just haven't quite decided on what all I want to do so I'm just trying new things out left and right. Thanks everyone for all of the great information. Seriously this is so much better than just having someone post a build especially since following other people's build rarely works out for me. Like when I went Thaum on my CW and absolutely hated it.

Been a while since I've checked on the forums or this thread but you'll have given me a lot of great ideas and made Cryptic about a gazillion dollars with all the respec's I've been doing lately :D

Okay I have one problem I just noticed. When I first built my character I wanted to just go ranged for pve only since then I've come to really enjoy pvp and I was wanting to go pathfinder but everything I've read says I need a higher Con. My con is at 13. I literally put everything in Dex. Do I need to reroll or can I just respect and put points into con? That would probably get it up to 19 which isn't very high. So before I spend any more money with wanting a combat pathfinder should I just reroll or not?

My con's only 16, giving me about 27k hp with profound archers, I'm still very difficult to kill. Lotta def, lotta deflect, lotta regen. Since the respec I think I've died 1vs1 only once.
No idea what my toon is now.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was wanting to know. Going to respec one final time I think. I've pretty much got it down what I want to do with this guy.

I just swapped to the combatants set today too, sacrificing some defence for extra pow and deflect, results in domination tonight - very favourable.

One dead gwf had the gall to call me a credit card hero. Me, with all my bargain basement rank 7s, I lolled.
No idea what my toon is now.

    Changes are coming.

Unkillable HRs have been around since the Tenacity patch. Some people pointed out its OPness before the Mod3. It was long enough for having fun of being a TANK as HR for me.

Great, now every 2 seconds I heal for a whacking 400hp. How useful. I mean, that will so keep me alive. If I flip heads, and er... deflect in the first place.

Go******. They nerfed my stormwarden, and now my new and shiny pathfinder..? Before it even got dirty..? Much as I like this game, sometimes it really pisses me off. At least the gwf class is getting the same treatment, small mercy.

Ah well, suppose I was going to switch to black ice anyway, and this is all the more reason to.
No idea what my toon is now.

So when will GWFs get a bloody cooldown?

http://nwcalc.com/hr?b=pa7:20eywj:1dsmq8,13n0iii:150z5v:100000:1u0000&h=1&p=pfr is my current PvP build.

I run with Lone Wolf + Battlehoned as I don't find Cruel Recovery much.

PvP armor I use is 4 piece combatant, Belt of Thayon Zealot, 2 x Grand Fugitive Ring of Revolt and Amulet of Xvin.

Encounters are Constricting Arrow, Ambush and usually Thornward.

I've yet to try full Combat spec but do want to see what difference makes.

Okay, I've been playing around with it quite a bit and so far here's what I've come up with. I like my feats just fine but I'm not 100% sure on my powers. I miss Hawk Shot even though I've gone with combat and I'm not sure if I want to change anything or not. I don't really use Cruel Recovery much but I'm about to start playing with it nor do I really use Aspect of the Serpent. I had 3 points in it but I'm finding that Forest Meditation can be pretty useful in pvp and pve. So that's pretty much my build now. It's not set in stone and I'm still tinkering with it, getting rid of stuff I don't use and adding other stuff I want to try but maybe it'll help some of you'll who are having a hard time with the feats or something. It's working pretty well and once I get better gear I think I'll enjoy it even more.

Oh and if anyone has any additional advice on any powers that might work better for me or anything that might be good to swap out then I'd be happy to try it. I'm not great with my character yet. I'm really used to playing ranged but I'm enjoying it quite a bit and getting better as I go. Thanks again everyone.

Here's a nice basic guide on the Pathfinder Combat build I just found: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?688021-Frontline-–-(Pathfinder)-Combat-Ranger-for-PVP

It's very similar to my build but a bit different, mainly some of the feats. He/she has all five points in Swift Footwork where I've divided mine between 2 in swift footwork and 3 in agile combatant. Other than that it's pretty similar.

How good is Bilethorn? Compared to Plague Fire?

And how good is Electric Shot / Clear the Ground vs. Hunter's Teamwork / Careful Attack?

    Thanks~
