how do i get my daily key from him? im 60 but i cant talk to the npc, but my newly made char can get a key while the other not.. is this quest related?

Yep, there is a quest to do first that opens at level 60 from Knox. It is just a "go talk to the keymaster" type quest. Talk to Knox first, he has it for you.

You need to talk to knox to get the initial quest for the daily keys.

I don't know, when I talked to him there were a ton of people around casting spells, so I didn't hear his speech and zoned it out while reading.
