I have wanted to get into a PVP character so I have been looking into building a rogue. I am a cheap *** and don't feel like I have earned anything by buying my way into gear. So the 1-shot type builds are probably not for me. I also like playing strategically and prefer to take the un-manned node or drive the enemy crazy by being a constant thorn in their side. So a stealth type build sounds better. Eventually after building some skill I want to do good pre-mades so I don't want to invest a ton of time into a character that can't perform well with a different skill set. I don't even know what top of the line pre-mades are running now?
So far I am leaning Halfling with a 15 str/11 (+2) for 13 con/15 (+2) for 17 dex/12 int/10 wis/13 cha roll.
Any suggestions on a good build base on my preferences, especially with Mod 3 coming out?

I have read over both those guides. The problem is that both appear to be split focus between PVP and PVE. The one PVP perma guide I come across has a Malware warning for the front page.
It would be nice if guides could have their own sub forum so they don't get lost into the clutter.

I'd suggest that you look over the stealth-based builds, then tailor something to what you think you want to do with it, where you think you want to take it. They are adjustable.
There may not be a posted build you can cookie-cutter directly. (There is not one that I know of.)

I want to make one of my TRs into a Sab build because it's the path I've never gone all the way down, but I really am a primarily PvE player and the capstone is so bad. I'm sure it would still be fine in the PvE we have so far though, and Mod 3 might see me thinking differently about the speed advantage. I'm not a PvP hater, but I'm certainly not passionate about it like dedicated players.
Maybe it'll happen next time we get free respecs though.
