Weekly Poll #6

The content we enjoy also becomes the content we play the most. Unfortunately this can quickly lead us to a desire for more of the same content or more of similar options.
What type of content do you most want to see more of?

Let us know in the poll and in your comments. The poll is intended to be the hard choice but feel free to specify which content you would like to see more of and why even if it is not listed in the poll. :)

i'd like to see them add more outside of the box ideas to neverwinter. people like to refer to other games when they are talking about certain things they like and that's due to the fact that at some point in their gaming experience, a designer rocked their world in some way and it'd be awesome if somewhere down the line, people are referencing neverwinter for innovative ideas. of course, a lot of people commend neverwinter for its combat action, but i'd like to see more of their great creativity in all areas. a lot of people really enjoyed the last event and i think they were definitely onto something there.

I voted for solo content but I definately don't want repeatable daily quests! Well if nothing else I'll always have foundry :)

What I would pick is not up there. I have to use other games as examples..like the adventure packs in Champions Online and the Season/Episodes in Startrek Online.
Story-based chain-quests that can be solo'd or teamed, and have unique rewards.

In absence of that, I picked delves.

with this module 3 HAMSTER, the only thing I won't like to see is pvp focused content. I really hope they fix this new module adding the dungeon and more exploration since the area can get a good boost on expansion for pve.
That's my opinion of course and some people like pvp, but not me or my friends.

I voted more dungeons, but ones that balanced for the classes (no endless trash swarms, more actual elite mobs) and that don't drop BOP and/or blue items from the bosses.

Solo content would be my second pick, but as stated above not solo grind content. One thing I've been kicking around was the idea of a daily quest from Knox to do a level 60 version of one of the leveling lairs with the reward being something useful - NOT like what you get from Adamantine Gauntlets. Shards, blue marks, wards... would be nice. There are so many of those lairs available that it wouldn't get old quickly.

I picked solo content, but to elaborate:

--some new lower level content to allow for varied leveling paths

--larger variety of daily quests, especially in the Mod 3 zones, so the campaign grind doesn't feel so..grindy

--challenging solo lairs. I'll probably never be one of those people who solo epic SP, but by this point I can almost run the DR lairs with my eyes closed. Don't make them a required daily, make them optional but add some interesting rewards for running them,

+18 this. Also i'd like to see more (much more) racial/class quests, and some optional quest paths for everyone.

I prefer more PVE (Dungeons, Skirmish, Solo and Class Quests) stuff. The new Heroic Encounters in Mod 3 is a good start, they're fun and challenging (if soloing). Just need a few more variety in the Daily quests in Icewind areas and more frozen lakes to fight on. :p

More PvE as mentioned (voted for DD).

Something like GG PvP in the form of PvE would be awesome, 20 peeps to battle some epic boss or something like that.

More farmable dungeons. MC and VT aren't really farmable. I find repetitive solo content boring personally and only do it to progress. I need a reason to keep playing and for me that's with rewarding dungeons. I guess epic skirmishes wouldn't hurt too, but dungeons are long enough to make it interesting and not make it feel as much of a chore (providing the rewards are there). The bop nature of mc and vt and low drop rates on the boe stuff make it so that if you want a reliable way to farm, you do not want to play those, which is a shame.

Funnily enough when I joined the game I had no intention of playing with others minus if friends wanted me to or joining a guild. But since I did it was the best decision I made. Unfortunately even though we're not as strong as we once were, some have moved on since there just isn't the content to keep us interested. CN was the only dungeon to do even after the last 2 expansions and I guess some just decided to move on.

Edit: I do have to agree with the above that there should at least be 1 new pvp map though.

Dungeon Delves. This is an online game intended for social interaction so more social activities make sense. ( As a side note this qualifies the PvP areas as well for a potential addition.)

You could even have the next Foundry Contest to be to design the new Dungeon? It's always good to include player suggestions.

Mind you I know you cannot please all the people all of the time, but you can please most of them with a large beverage.

The major focus of the upcoming module is also missing from the poll: Co-op landscape encounters

Personally, I like the Dread Ring's system of rotating lairs, and am a little disappointed that the new module has no equivalent.

i prefer solo content, the difficulties in getting parties together, for an HR, or GF, even a TR are to outragous, and not worth the trouble. so until the QUEUE is fixed and ALL classes are equally disirable keep it solo content. you can throw epic bosses out in the world for us to kill and try to earn epic equiptment out there. not every epic set needs to be earned in the dungeons or grinding pvp.

a side note, NO MORE PVP HAMSTER

I chose Dungeon Delves, but what I mean by that is newer, better dungeons, and ones that aren't just mindless add fests.

    I'd like to see more:
    1.) Solo Content
    2.) Skirmishes
    3.) Dungeon Delves

... and of course, more PvP options. In this order.

. . . I voted solo content as I'd like to see more quests through out the world as well as multiple ways to end a quest with varying rewards and outcomes depending on the choices made. I'd also like to see more racial and class quests too. However, as long as it's not PvP... I want to see more of it, whatever it is! Some new delves through out the GS range would be nice too.

. . . Not just more delves at the highest tier like we got with Valindra's Tower, but more through out the progression of a character and more to choose from once you're 60 to get your T2+ gear. I'm starting to feel the repetitiveness of running the same delves again, over and over. So, I'd really like to see at least one more delve for each type of armor piece, basically allowing us to choose from a few delves to try and get that piece of set armor.

All I want for PvP is more maps and possible alternative game modes, but after that I'll be good on pvp for awhile. Than I would like to see more Solo or DD content (I can't decide between the two)

More and harder dungeons delves. T3 for 14k+ characters. We've been stuck with the same 8-10k GS content since release. Now we have artifacts, 2 and soon 3 campaigns. Something harder is in order now.

And more pvp modes. Deathmatch, last man standing, etc. Possibly involving two teams of 10 players each.

I voted for solo content, because I like exploring things on my own. More repeatable quest grinding is not what I want though. If we do that again, the quests had better have a big variety to them, and be a lot more worthwhile than the current dailies in Dread Ring.

That said, if we could get some actual decent rewards from regular skirmishes, I'd vote for that over solo content. I think skirmishes are great fun, but I'm not really interested in risking my life for a single bound ID scroll.

More scalable content. Some of the most fun ive had in CO and STO was thier featured episode/comic series type missions.

Large episodic content playable in short bites or as a full episode, if you have the time. They scaled to player level, like foundry missions. Buy they also scaled to group size. So you could do them solo, or as a full, or partial group, and get a quality adventure.

They where honestly some of the most unique content Cryptic had. Half the fun was the anticipation of each weeks episode, and finding out what happened next. Its a shame the entire concept kinda fell by the wayside.

I would like to see more short, queue-able team content, similar to the CTA events - perhaps some new mini-dungeons could be added - they'd basically be the length of a typical dungeon up to 1 boss. The rewards would, of course, be lower than a full dungeon run. Perhaps they could take this opportunity to expand what the various seal vendors have to offer, and tie them into these mini-instances.

PvE content fo sho. I prefer group content, we have plenty of solo stuff. (As in, the ENTIRE level up game)

As stated by others, stealing the missions packs/seasons idea from the other Cryptic games is a great idea IMO.

I'm surprised by the success of "solo" content in a MMO. Sure, cryptic can make some amazing D&D stories but it would take a lot of time, and MMO players don't care much about lore and stuff like that. Text is just something we don't read. I don't care about Valindra's past or who's going to be the next ruler of the red wizards. No offense meant to people who actually spend a lot of time writing all this, but MMO players aren't here for that. :)

If they spend too much time making nice solo quests sure they will please all the D&D fans for a week or two (the time you need to enjoy all the solo levelling content, actually), and then the MMO players who don't give a **** about lore will just start leaving the game.

This is IMO why no new additions to the foundry happened lately, no one plays it because they made rewards lousy to stop exploits and botting, and no one is attracted by stories only in a MMO, except a tiny minority of players. If they start turning the whole game into a big foundry then it will slowly die and no one will care about it.
