Is there a RP channel?

Is there a RP channel for RP-ists, as there is the Legit one for the legit players?

    Not so far as I'm aware. The moonstone mask, in game, is where a bulk of the RPing seems to occur. That and a Tavern whose name I forget. I'm sure someone'll come along with a better answer, but I'd ask around in there if no one does ^_^

    There's the "NWRP" channel...

    OP, when you talk about wanting an RP channel - are you talking in terms of it being a way to find others who want to RP, so you can get together, or a channel to actually do the RP in? It'd be weird to have a game-spanning channel to actually do your RP conversations in, as that typically would use local, tells, team, or guild, depending upon the vicinity of those participating in the conversation... Still, it couldn't hurt to check out the NWRP channel kallethen mentioned.

    As weird as it may seem, a dedicated channel is the only way when "Say", "Tell", "Zone", "LFG" etc all have to be desactivated b/c of the gold sellers. NWRP, I tried, there was all very non-RP messages, What do you do IRL, Working in a gas station, Oh thx for the head-up, I have to go there and get two packs of beer. And yes, once in a while the occasionnal *Unmounts his owlbear and has a nap under a tree.*

    Yeah nwrp is an ooc channel. And there does tend to be alot of casual chat and silliness that goes on in it.

    I would like an IC channel personally to use to organize Rp rather than ooc (which its not that often used for in the channel) but every IC channel thats been made, nothign really came of it because many simply do not know about it like people know about the nwrp channel.

    Like Bioshrike said, a custom IC channel seems like it would probably be very strange because those channels are game-spanning. You would... all be in psychic contact with each other regardless of your actual location? Have to mentally filter through a whole bunch of concurrent storylines being played out?

    I always felt the Moonstone Mask worked for the different groups together in it because in the setting of a busy tavern, you're going to see and overhear other people around you. I don't see that working so well when you've got a group in Sharandar, another in Dread Ring, some people in the Driftwood Tavern, etc. and they're all trying to do their thing... a custom channel has them all talking at once.

    Using an IC channel to organize grouping up, I guess I get where you're coming from, not wanting to break character at all, but it's also adding another barricade to what I gather is a fairly niche population to start with.

    Hey! I'm a new(er) Roleplayer, seeking refuge from different communities which seem to be dying off. I had looked into Neverwinter initially, and with my friend and mentor of 6 years having left I think it's high time to visit Neverwinter. That said, I was wondering where EXACTLY the Moonstone Mask was? I've scoured the main city for it and of course being new there is not a prayer I could have of finding it. :p So if someone could add me in game, my in game user is Kasus. I am on the verge of level 13 with Kasus.

    Also, I've been looking for someone who can cover the basics with me on some of the finer points of this Roleplay Community. Every community is different; best I learn what those are for Neverwinter as soon as possible. Download took forever, but I'm glad that I am now well on my way to joining the community.     You can get to the Mask using a teleport gate between the Auction House and the Grand Emporium. If you did the Scrying Stone quest, it's where the stone not near Knox is located.

    NWRP is an OC channel to set things up for a RP session, it's not an IC channel like others have already said.
    Use it if you want to organize something. Other than that you'll find casual chat that is at least much more interesting than "LFG VT 13kGS" or << insert gold seller spam here >> or some HAMSTER like that.
    In my guild we have a IC channel, with some sort of magical device that let us communicate between us. but not everyone in the Neverwinter RP community likes those.
