Mark of Potency farming

I'm really curious how some players in the AH have posted 2 pages of blue marks of potency in the AH. Do they farm it by running dungeons or do they get it from skill nodes?

They probably get them either from dungeons or from opening a lot of lockboxes , skill node drop rate for blue marks of potency seems to be very low but they do drop from the arcane coffer if you are using a lot of Star metal gauntlets to try to get the Artifact.

I got a couple in total on my 5 level 60s that I am playing currently. Think they were from the arcane coffer, but that was probably out of 200+ tries...

Just realized that now would be a good time to buy these off the AH. They are usually ~25K AD there, around the same as from the Wondrous Bazaar, but with the lockbox frenzy, they are now around 17K.

They drop from the Iron Strongbox of Enchantments, which is one of the most common things to pop out of the two most recent lockboxes.

Plus key sale.

BTW, down to 15k when I peeked a moment ago.

Cost of one key in ADs... 44520.

Cost of one mark of potency bought outright on AH... 15000. Bought from Wondrous Bazaar when there are no sweet AH deals to be found... 25000.

Open boxes and be happy to get the mark of potency while taking a chance at greater phat lewts, sure.

If you just happen to need marks... don't mess around with keys, man.

I've found blue marks of all four types in chests in (epic) dungeons, lairs and maps (Sharandar and Dread Ring) I've gotten them from the coffer that drops in the normal lair boss chest and maybe from the arcane coffer as well. They aren't very common drops. I've gotten about six marks of potency and a few more of the others in the last month.
