False advertisement or not?

Everything in this game that you can upgrade from green, blue, purple or orange gives a benefit like for an example better stats, lower cooldown or speed etc. EVERYTHING.

When they advertise a new legendary mount I expected a new mount with some benefits like movement-speed.

I just spent over 6000 ZEN on the new lockboxes (buying keys) to get a BETTER mount. And Now I read in the forums that the mount isnt even better than any other epic mounts. And just because they think the cosmetic is better than a epic mount, dosent mean I think that. For me this mount looks like any other epic mounts.
"Hey all! To clarify and confirm, the Emperor Beetle mount is Legendary in terms of rarity and appearance, not movement speed. It's pretty rad-looking! But still increases movement speed by 110%."

For me thats false advertisement or in best case misleading customers.

I wanna discuss your opinion about this. Is it just me or does anyone else feel fooled? I spent 6000 Zen. I know others spent so much more.

How can we blame anyone but the person who spent 6,000 zen without even looking at the stats of what he was buying?

Color does not always mean better and we all know it. Already there are blue quality belts that give better bonuses than most purple quality belts, for example. That's very common.
At least looking at the wiki page of the item you're spending $60 on would have saved you time and money.

Would you also buy a shiny car without looking at the engine? Do you buy restaurant meals just because it says "delicious" without looking at what's in it?

I don't think there's anyone else here to blame, frankly. Buying something sight-unseen is taking a risk that it will not be what you expect. You could easily have looked at the stats of the item before spending so much.

I think but this is only my option this box is a big mislead .
When i first saw i buy big amount of zen too luckly i sell it in time of 400 :). But i think many of us are not soo lucky.
    Suggestion:
I realy not want to crit.. devs but they shoud change the tooltip .
    Reason:
Not 100% of player base read forums.

They deliberately didn't mention the running speed of the legendary mount in the news post. While mentioning the epic mount speed right below it.

    Obvious false advertisement is obvious.

Edit: wow they changed the news post to now say 110%, it wasn't like this for at least an hour after the patch went live.
Will never purchase zen for $ from this company.

The tooltip on the lockbox dont show any tooltip for the mount. So without finding the mount in the AH there was no way to know the stats before buying it.

I think Cryptic have really screwed up by calling this mount Legendary but apparently not fully understanding what that means to your average MMO player , just making the drop rate much rarer does not equate to Legendary, stat increases do , an easy mistake to make for people who aren't MMO savvy but one that the Dev team will not hear the end of for a long time . Unfortunately not false advertising though , nowhere did they claim it was a faster mount or had increased damage before you fall off.

If you click the lockbox you get a list on the side showing the drops , you can run your cursor over the items to see their tooltips.

IMO It was misleading. Don't know about the legal terms for it and whether it was false advertising. Is it orange, and is Legendary what they are calling orange items? (Asking because I don't know.)

If not, then it's probably as advertised. They never introduced any mounts as being over 110%. I see the post lists the speed. I don't recall seeing that before, so at least they corrected it, if it wasn't there. But I'd never dream of plunking down 60 dollars worth of game cred on something when I wasn't positive of what I was buying.

I happened to have 600 zen already, so I bought 4 keys. Didn't win jack. Won't open any more, but I'm not going to fuss about it. I paid my dime and took my chances.

I see it probably is orange. I will agree that something should not be orange (green, blue, purple, orange) unless it offers something that is a statistical improvement. Even if speed is the same, it should at least require more damage in shorter time to knock you off your saddle. Being ultra rare can't justify it, imo.

I am sorry you feel you were misinformed but the information was in the news post as well as accessible in game by various means.
